Phở King: what do users think?

Anand Jadhav: Good place with some authentic Vietnamese food. The service is good too. Tried in a spread of food and was pleased with experience. Chicken pho is recommended.Recommended dishes Chicken Pho, Stir Fried Chicken With …More

Ms E. E.A.: So far, the best pho I ever have in Mexico City. The broth is good, good amount of meat and noodles, the only thing lacking are the vegetables that normally comes with it. I would definitely recommend this out if you are craving for Vietnamese food in Mexico city.

Stevie Bathily: Warning - AVOID THIS PLACE! First meal of the day at 5.30 PM. I could have eaten anything! I wanted to try this Vietnamese for a couple of days but it was close (even if showing open on the app). First, very unfriendly lady at the reception (manager?). Super bossy, ordered me to wait to be seated with a very rude, unpleasant tone, while the restaurant had only two tables occupied.. fine.. I was hungry remember😅 I ordered a fried rice. It was cold, the shrimp very hard to chew (probably frozen?!), very small portion and the price! Can we talk about it?! 280$ (fried rice + small bottle of water). I didn’t pay attention to the price given the place is very casual (almost street market) For this quality, this decor and most importantly, the quality of the food. It’s stealing at this point! 😂 On the other hand it’s genius, cause you don’t expect to pay that much for this place, so you order blindly overpriced, low quality food! Malicious!🙃 On top of that this lady asked for a tips (which I felt a bit obliged to give, crazy she asked, crazy I gave her an additional 10% as well!🙄) So disappointed by this place and the experience. I should have read the similar comments to mine (I guess I was too hungry!😅)

Nikhil: Ordered Vietnamese Noodle Salad with peanut sauce and fried rice. Asked to make them both vegetarian versions. Waiter was knowledgeable enough and understood our choice even though we don’t know Spanish. Both were super tasty. We enjoyed our dinner.

Monica Gomez: BEST gluten free pho I’ve ever had and better than all the places in LA. So dive! The broth is perfect and doesn’t even need all the extra stuff like basil + sprouts. It’s perfect and I’ve been dreaming about it since!

Dennis Dreyer: If you are a foodie in need of your Asian food fix, this place got you covered. I was surprised to find such authentic Vietnamese food in Mexico city. They have a variety of different pho bowls and summer rolls. The beef pho I've had made me feel like I'm in southeast Asia. Just what I needed 🙏🏻 I recommend their soursop smoothie too. Very refreshing and delicious.

Rebeca Martínez: Delicious!!! It taste very good. They have big portions! Make sure you are hungry best place for Pho and al the Vietnamese food! Super traditional taste!

Andres Minjarez: The pho is good in flavor, though is lacking on the meat side, I am very used to getting a good portion of meat on my pho, and they barely give you anything. Having said that, I believe is a bit pricey, I think nor the quality of the food or the atmosphere of the restaurant justifies the priceFood: 4/5 | Service: 3/5 | Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Pho Bo Tai Lan …More

Lawrence Phuah: Authentic Vietnamese food in a casual setting. The brisket Pho was served with generous pieces of brisket in a tasty broth.Soursop (guyabana) juice was fresh and thick served chilled.Service was generally good with polite servers.

Ricardo Alejandre n estrada: Of the 4 spring rolls I got 2 were incredibly difficult to eat,. The pho, I have eaten pho in 10 different cities more than 20 vietamese restaurants this was easily the worst. Drink was much the same. And if you read other posts you will get an idea of how management is there.

Pho King: what do users think?

Steve Rasof: Vietnamese is one of my favorite meals. I had UberEats deliver my meal. The meal was well packed...hot and cold as the meals were to be. The portions were good. The food was delicious. My hopes were in the Pho....it was only broth...little amount of meat and noodles....it did come with hot sauce and a slice of lime....but no vegetables....I've eaten Pho around the world and all are served with Sprouts, Mint leaves, Basil Leaves, Chili Peppers....maybe they forgot to include with my order?? The broth was the real deal...very well made. I will try the restaurant again...as a walk in customer and hope my Pho will come with the proper vegetables....as all the other parts of the meal was excellent.

Amy G.: Delicious pho broth and I enjoyed the ox tail. I wish it had more vegetables in the pho however. The fried rice was also good for people who like fried rice (I thought it was a little too sweet but my partner liked it as it was). Good light rice and flavours. We also got the buns which were on the dry side. Alright but wouldn't get them next time.

Ernesto Guadarrama: Friendly waiters, cuisine is average, some items are fried from frozen materials. Some made fresh (according to the waiter) but my 4 pieces of wrapped vegetables 'with shrimp' had about 2 or 3 tiny shrimps each.Prices are fair.

Le Tuyet Ngoc Nguyen: My hometown is Vietnam but I relocated in The UK and I've been working remotely in Mexico. Phở King restaurant is defo a gem in the city for having so authentic and mouth-watering Vietnamese food. I'm so in love with their phở tái, bún chả and trà đào cam sả (photos attached). Their service is fast and friendly too. The food comes in generous portions so if you're a baby eater like me, don't order too much ha. Strongly recommend this place if you are into Vietnamese food guys.

Issac Chou: The soup didn’t come with sprout which is most important ingredient I selected this restaurant. The shrimp was spoiled and super dried.

Gareth Byrne: First time I've seen ramen made with instant noodles. They still had the square shape from the packet they came in. The broth wasn't great either but the neat was good.

A. Gonzalez: Great option for Vietnamese food the pho broth was a little too light (watered down) compared to other I have tried but good overall. I wish they served it with bean sprouts not just cilantro and chives. The fried egg rolls were great. The red Thai tea was super well-made and the other special drinks were very delicious. The prices are a bit high but when you feel like something different it’s worth it.

Christine Minvielle: Food is ok’ish , is not best I had tried , soup broth was without flavor , food cold and service was ok , you spect more from reviews and seeing loca people

Sofia: Lacking in vegetarian dishes and the adaptations were poor. I ordered the stir fried noodles. The consistency of the sauce was very strange, it was like jelly. The sauce mixed badly with the noodles like it wasn’t even fresh anymore. My companion ordered the green papaya salad.. It was served with mostly carrots. Probably one of the worst restaurants I have been to.

Anton: Delicious as always, try the rice noodles with assorted Vietnamese delicacies (spring rolls, bbq poek, etc.) The thai tea is quite good as well. The price I mid high range, but that is to be expected being in the heart of Polanco.

Happy Banh Mi: what do users think?

Thomas Pham: Although the owner is not Vietnamese, but he has made good effort to replicate the sandwich. I am Vietnamese and have tried the sandwich in many restaurants around the world. And they have done well here. Just the right mix of crunchy sweet and sour dakon radish, carrot, cucumber, and cilantro. A few red Jalapeno. A slight touch of sauce that was not too overwhelming or gooed up the bread like others have done. The baguette is good. But you can not achieve the crunch and texture of the Vietnamese baguette. That will be difficult to replicate. But they have fresh french baguette that is just fine. I hope that was he expands his menu, he will stay true to the tradition. It is rare to find good Vietnamese food outside of Vietnam.
Response: Thanks for your comment! We will work on your recommendations.

Angela Gu: The place lives up to its name. Oftentimes, I find that Asian restaurants here tend to have the same generic flavors, but not this one. The flavors are complex yet balanced. The lemongrass chicken is something I could eat for every meal. The siracha aioli pairs perfectly with the marinaded chicken, and the vegetables are pickled to perfection - with just the right amount of acidity to offset the savoriness of the meat. The baguette is crispy on the outside and thin enough so that you still feel satisfied by the amount of protein. What I love about the chicken bahn mi is that you get every texture and flavor with each bite: the crunchiness of the pickled veggies and the crispness of the baguette and the tenderness of the meat. Because of this, I never get bored of eating it.
Response: Thanks for the review! We hope you come back soon.

Chris: Excellent Bahn Mi. I haven't been to Vietnam but had plenty in the States (including Houston and NoVA.) They make the bread perfectly, it's crunchy as it should be, and I enjoyed the beef and chicken options. Will return for the pork. Also in a very relaxing part of Coyoacan, beautiful vibe, wonderful for a walk. Next door to a famous dessert place. Friendly owner and staff.
Response: Thanks for the review! We hope you come back soon

AJ A: Very nice staff. I ordered the Siagon beef sandwich. Good portion of beef with spicy fermented vegetables. Very good. I ordered their gelatin with coconut and lemongrass. Also good. They have a bench outside to sit while waiting on your food.

Monet Fort: Excellent banh mi! Good pork flavor, perfect soft-inside-crusty-outside baguette. I live in a town with lots of great Vietnamese food. This place in Mexico City measures up. No indoor seating (only outdoor cafe tables) but the neighborhood is incredibly cute with lots of parks to sit in and enjoy your awesome authentic Vietnamese sandwich. Try the coconut dessert, it's a little like flan.

Jessica Neath: We've been a couple of times now and tried all the sandwiches...they're all delicious, but the beef one is definitely my favourite!
Response: Thank you very much for your visit, we hope to have the pleasure of serving you again soon.

Erica Brock: Abso delicious. Go, go, go!!!!!
Response: Thank you! We love receiving them.

María Teresa Alonso Hernández: Start with an entree summer roll, followed by anything you want on the menu, there won't be anything not to like. The place is small, it only has a couple of tables outside, but if you take it home it will taste just as delicious.
Response: Thanks for your comment! We are waiting for you soon.

Ainara V B: I will only say that I regret not having tried them before :) Delicious! They take order via phone for PickUp. Excellent attention. My favorite is the Res, however they are all delicious!! I love bread
Response: Thanks for your comment! We love receiving you, we hope you visit us soon.

Ricardo Heinze Cacho: Small place difficult to notice but the food is spectacular. My new favorite in the area.
Response: Ricardo thank you very much for your comment, for all of us it is really a pleasure to see such happy faces after trying our food!!

Charlie Huynh: The atmosphere and decor is stunning. The cocktails were great. The dishes were good, but felt like they miss the mark with all the dishes.

VAGANTURE: Nice interior and cute waiter, but overpriced and not worth it, as the food is kind of 'Asian inspired' and cooked with what is available at the store next door, but not even close to Vietnamese cuisine, the Phó as a signature dish was an insult

Chantal Piët: What a cute place! It's brand new, opened in September 2020 right during the pandemic. The inside is beautiful with arts and bottles and perfect lighting, they made the outside super enjoyable too with plants and lights. Very good atmosphere. The cocktails are good, the food menu and pricing all fine. We all had different things and enjoyed them all, the best things? Delicious vegan and vegetarian options!!!! Do ask for some extra sambal and soy when you order the vegan pho, it needs a little extra!

Elizabeth Skoll: The first time we went, the food was decent and the atmosphere was nice. However, we went again on a Friday night and it was extremely crowded. The bartender took more than 30 minutes to take our order. We never got to order food. Then, when we left they tried to charge us a much larger (double!) tip than we requested.

Marty Tennant: The Pad Thai was a big disappointment. All noodles and some sprouts. Where are the rest of the veggies? Also, the beautiful ambiance of the place was undermined by a DJ that apparently wanted to injure our eardrums with overwhelming and inappropriate music. Finally, is it too much to ask that napkins be provided when the table is set, rather than having to ask for them later? Not recommended.

Kwan Hong Teoh: Incredible ambiance but bizarrely truncated menu for the weekend. Stingy portions. Okay but 240 peso pho done in five bites?? Execution of food decent but fairly soulless. Service fair. Major disappointment

Katherine Grajales: We stopped at Doi while walking the Roma area of Mexico City. We were overwhelmed by the unique drinks. We had a Thai martini with Irish Cream Horchata… Awesome! We also had a drink called Pagoda… Wow! The place is trendy with great music. Highly recommend ~ Kathy and Gabe from NY

A: 80 pesos for an average cappuccino and they don't have a coffee menu

Amanda Tuttle: Marvelous place! Great decor, so hospitable and the food was great to boot! We’ll be back often

Gnu Buddy: The food is great and the drinks are strong. The nearby intersection is very busy, if you sit outside, but I found it amusing to watch the chaos.

Kiin Thai-Viet Eatery: what do users think?

T Le: I probably ordered delivery from this place at least 3x a week since visiting cdmx for only 2 months. It is Vietnamese/Thai fusion but the flavours are still quite authentic! The tofu pad Thai is my husband’s favourite and I love the juicy chicken wings!! For my last day, I knew I had to dine in the actual restaurant and I wasn’t disappointed. Friendly staff and the atmosphere was very open and lively. They also allow dogs!! Can’t wait to return and try all the other dishes!

Sanel Selimovic: I did not have high expectations for this place going in, but I had one of the best meals in recent weeks here. The spring rolls, Bunn Mi sandwich, steamed buns and the accompanying sauces are on par with some of the best Vietnamese I had before. The only area for improvement are maybe samosas which are great inside but a bit dry outside. Could use some nice salsa to pair with it, but otherwise it’s great.

Brian Davis: For the quality/quantity, it's overpriced. More expensive than comparable places in Washington DC. Maybe it's the neighborhood, but you are definitely paying extra for the ambiance (which is quite nice) its hip and chic. The service was upscale and prompt. The flavors are quite fresh. Didn't try the cocktails, but they looked pretty good. The mango sticky rice with blue ice cream was the highlight. The papaya salad was spicier than being in Thailand so be warned! The green curry was tasty, but not amazing. Presentation of the plates was top notch tho. If you are looking for Instagram worthy food pics, this place is probably worth it. But we spent over $1000mxn for 1 appetizer, 1 salad, 1 main dish, and 1 desert - not even drinking alcohol - so yeah, not a cheap date spot by any means.

Hope Elleston: I tried the "pho on the rocks" cocktail which was absolutely delicious, and the banh mi to eat. Both were great but I feel like it's kind of over priced for the serving size, my bill was 360 just for those two items!

LUIS LEBRUN: I am a regular client of this group of restaurants where the chef is the same girl. I evidently love it and recommend it. I've read mean reviews here, do not pay attention to those as the food from Vietnam is not that wide in Mexico City and this place is a jewel which deserves to go on. I love the flavors and the great times one can spend down there. The service is always flawless. The food it’s worth every peso. Don’t miss it On 3rd July 2022 I did return and I’ve added more photos to my original review. I am granting 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ once again I attached the QR menu so that anyone can have a look 👀 This time I ordered a bottle of white wine , -magnifique- 😝 it’s a Portuguese albariño.

Anne Marie: Delicious food, cute decor, and ambient music. I've been a few times, and the service is consistently slow, so don't go if you're in a hurry. However, if you do have time to spare, I recommend the beef pho (Pho Huang), and the shrimp Pad Thai. They also have decent craft beer and internet.

Il contenitore ristorante: Absolutely delicious place. Price almost cost them a star but the flavor was outstanding!

C P: decent flavors though not exactly the same flavor profiles as the real authentic dishes. got the papaya salad (could be spicy), grilled prawns (decent), pork skewers (decent), pad thai (least favorite dish bc the noodles were wet/too saucy and sweet). mango sticky rice with ice cream was okay.. mango is better cut in chunks than thinly sliced to taste mango bits better. sticky rice was too mushy.

Isabella Beham: The first time I ate here, I really liked it. But each time the quality has gone down & it’s just not worth the price. Last time we ate there there must have been a plumbing issues because the restaurant smelled like sewage. In general, kind of average & way over priced with bad service.

Donya: I was pleasantly surprised! I'd been craving Thai for weeks and was extremely disappointed by other restaurants. This one was different. They nailed two of my favorite dishes but failed me on the curry. I arrived at 5pm (am hour before closing) and was quickly seated. I ordered the papaya salad and larb moo. The papaya was spicy and delicious, but sweeter than the normal Thai style. The latter was served hot and with rice. I was expecting it to be a cold dish. Both needed more fish sauce. However, again, best papaya salad I've had in Mexico. To satisfy my Thai craving, i ordered a curry - the chicken moo grob prik khing. While flavorful, they were SUPER stingy on the sauce. The chicken was more so coated in curry sauce as of its ordered wings. I was also told there was no way to order extra curry sauce. Bummer. I should note here that they kept taking my silverware in between dishes as though signaling it was time for me to go. I took their hint and ordered my check and the mango and sticky rice to go. The dessert was also delicious. Will I return?? For the papaya salad and the mango and sticky rice. I'm still on the hunt for a good curry.

Pho King Restaurante Vietnamita: what do users think?

Tam Pham: Love to see a Vietnamese restaurant in CDMX!! I’ve been here plenty of times and loved trying foods I grew up eating like Pho and Com Thit Ko. Of course my favorite cafe sua da!! Big shoutout to Tere and Fernando for being so warm and friendly. I also loved meeting the owner Linh who was so nice to me and my friends. Nos vemos pronto 😇

lem nguyen: Fairly good pho but there is no thai basil or bean sprouts on the side. Maybe its not easy to find them here. We ordered rare beef pho but the beef was overcooked. At 200$ peso each, it is not cheap for Mexico city but its also exotic food. As a Vietnamese, I need some light Vietnamese food after the first few days of all those tortillas lol

YG Chow: Absolutely delicious pho! 200 pesos a bowl which is a bit pricey, but it's very good and I am very very satisfied.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Haley Rose Smith: On a rainy night after a full day hike this was exactly what we needed. Delicious beef pho (the dac biet was richer broth than the other one) and the hot ginger tea was perfect. Stopped in another night just to get some tea to go and the friendly staff helped even though they were technically closed. Thank you!

Becky Olivares: I was here over the weekend for lunch. Service was friendly, efficient and on point. The place is also very clean. The food seems fairly authentic (having lived in LA and San Fran with large Vietnamese communities, I’ve had my share of Vietnamese food). I had the bao to start and the asparagus & beef with steamed rice. I should’ve had the Pho! I know. 🙄 Next time. I live right down the street from this place so I’ll be back. Everything was quite tasty but they missed the mark on the rice! 🍚 Yes, the rice. :-/ It was overcooked and hard on the edges. Booo. It’s also quite expensive for Mexico City and for what you get. However, the food is decent so if you’re having a craving for Vietnamese food, this is a place to try every now and again to quench the craving. Enjoy!

Fernando Burgés: It's disappointing. Nothing we ordered was really that good. My noodles were overcooked and the phō was very simple. Prices are higher than they should. Service was good though.

Karel: It's a good place to go and eat! The Phó was delicious and the salad ok. Service is great!!

Angela Gu: A non-pretentious pho place. I like combining the meats from the different pho dishes to get more meat. The broth hits the right spot. They give you physical menus with pictures of the food. The staff is nice and very accommodating. The fruit drinks are authentic, freshly made, and delicious. I love that they have true authentic Vietnamese dishes beyond just pho. Great place for a post-workout meal or inexpensive dinner with friends.

Amy Sadd: Haven't been able to have pho in nearly 5 years due to my location and it meant the craving but wasn't the best pho I've ever had. The fresh ingredients that are normally served as a side were served already in the soup and there were no bean sprouts at all.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Alesia Tam: Hits the spot if you want noodles and soup or lighter fare. Not the best Vietnamese food and definitely not cheap. Paid $25 USD for two items. Would go back if I was desperate but not my first choice.

El 123: what do users think?

DG Yoo: Not the place if you're looking for authentic Thai cuisine. But that being said, their rendition is still amazing. A bit sweeter than I'd like (e.g. Tom Yum), but still plenty of room to be enjoyed.
Response: Thank you very much!

Tad Samson: Phenomenal place!!! The food, the service, and the atmosphere is all top notch. The food is a blend of East Asian flavours and you can tell that the kitchen takes pride in what they send out. Each dish was well prepared. Pleasing to the eye and the palate. The service was attentive and quick... without being pushy. For example, they had no oranges as a side to our mezcal so they offered alternatives. Quick thinking and well done! Totally in love with this place. I will definitely go back for more! One piece of advice is to check the closing hours... since I find it does close early. Vegetarian options: Many dishes are offered with or without the meat protein. It's your choice.

Ivan Vetcher: The restaurant is quite pleasant with the open layout and many plants. Service was excellent. The upstairs was more relaxing. Food presentation is beautiful. The dishes were ok and eased our cravings for Thai. The cold shrimp cocktail like salad was very interesting and delicious. The soups were also enjoyable. The baba ganoush and shrimp/octopus tostada were interesting, but they were not as enjoyable. The pad thai was also ok. The other like dishes are the same I think. A bit too sweet and noodles are overcooked. The egg rolls, "everyone play," and desserts were disappointing. Egg rolls were mostly wrappers and bland. The "everyone play" biscuits were just fried dough with a salad. Mango with rice was made with regular rice and not sticky rice. The texture of the muffins didn't quite pair well with the flavors and ice cream. *We were surprised with the baba ganoush, which is a slice of eggplant with some mayo-like sauce on top.

Hugo Cervantes: A very trendy place with very trendy cuisine with prices on the pricy side. The staff is super friendly (now) and attentive, so hopefully they can keep the game up. The special chai latte is superb, I totally recommend it. Gluten-free options would be a great addition to the carefully curated menu. Will certainly be back.

Nathan R: In globetrotting, I love to taste authentic fusion food. Sometimes, it’s a hit and sometimes it’s a miss. This is a perfect example of a ***winning*** combination of Thai and Mexican food. Absolutely loved the discrete use of Mexican spices with my Pad See Ew. Don’t expect traditional Thai here, but do expect to be delighted. For the discerning traveler only. The vibe checks out too—make sure to see the art and eating spaces on the second floor. My spouse and I will definitely return next time in CDMX.
Response: 💕💕

Akanksha Bhatt (iamfab.us): In terms of expectations the food was terrible! Everything I mean everything was super sweet except for the dessert. It wasn’t sweet. We ordered 2 noodle dishes both super sweet. We ordered green curry- it was just sweet green water with boiled veggies. It came with salad that was topped with melted ice cream as dressing. And we ordered Thai sticky rice with mango that’s my favorite dessert but to my surprise it was regular rice dumped in watery coconut water topped with blandest mango ice cream. Service was good and chai latte was good. Pictures don’t do justice. They came out nice.

Tiff: Pad Thai was decent, service was nice and quick. Only thing was the Thai tea didnt have enough flavour. Otherwise it was pretty good

Ifan Chang (Yifan): lovely foods and place. my first meals in Mexico.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Diriki R.: Great atmosphere and cuisine. My first time having a different version of Chilaquiles.
Response: Thank you very much!

Erik Akhmetgaliev: The interior is nice, but neither Tom Yum nor Tom Kha were good - too much spicy (I love spicy Thai food), flavor was far away from the traditional one (don’t know what is the reason to add sugar into soups). Also the area where this restaurant is located is not that comfortable. Next time I rather select another place to eat Asian food.

Galanga: what do users think?

Robert G: Really cool decorations/location. They did a great job of building a beautiful restaurant. Cocktails were amazing, you have to get one. The food presentation was excellent, quantity was adequate. Where I was left short, in my opinion, was the actual flavor of the dishes. There was no spice whatsoever in their dishes, even when ordered “Thai Spicy”. This kind of surprised me in Mexico, because even the water has spicy to it here.

Lindsay Veenstra: Honestly don’t understand how anyone could give less than five stars for this restaurant. I’ve eaten Thai all over the world and I think the quality and price was so high. The service was attentive, knowledgeable and prompt, and the dishes had beautiful flavours and creative presentations. I would come again and again. Between two of us we had two starters, two mains, and three delicious cocktails plus mineral water for 60 USD each and enough left over for two lunches. 10/10.

Agnes Theresia: It’s a high end restaurant located in Roma. Authentic modern Thai food. The herbs and spices are fresh since the owner plants some on her place. Saw a lot of pots with Thai herbs around. You need to make reservations before because this place is always full and most people already made their reservations beforehand. Their tom yum is amazing, the pad thai is good and the desserts are the ones to try! The vibes is great too! I came here for lunch and dinner, it’s a romantic place to bring your date for dinner!

Saera Fernandez: I wasn't expecting to make a stop at a high end Thai restaurant in Mexico City but I'm glad I did. The food was incredible and the service top notch and friendly. The space is sunny and airy with lots of plants, too! Worth a stop, albeit limited vegetarian options and a bit pricy.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Cecilia UK 3010: Prices here on Google are $$ On the actual menu $$$$. Appetizers $300+. Mains from $450 up to $950. By far the most pricey place in La Roma. Def tourist prices. Much others better options around. Food is good. Tasty. Portions are average, not sharing portions. Friendly staff. Waiting time to get the food served LONG. Seriously LONG. One glass of red wine $180 one fish main $450 ( ie. Lamb $650)

Michelle Van Heiningen: We came to the Galanga in hopes of Pad Kee Mao and satay. Which, unfortunately, is no longer on the menu. The new menu was completely different from what we expected, so we told the waiter that we would just have some cocktails and go. The cocktails were AMAZING! No complaints. But once we told the waiter that we weren't going to order food he was extremely rude to us. Making sighing noises and giving us annoyed looks anytime he would come by. It got to the point where we chugged our drinks quickly and left because it was so uncomfortable and so apparent that we were no longer welcome. I'm sure the food is great, and I'm sure that that if we would have ordered a main dish this review would be different. But it was a truly uncomfortable experience for us.

Marco Andrade: So good. The duck curry and pad Thai were delicious. Also the typical drink, forgot the name. Our waitress was very nice too, wish I had her name, she was beyond helpful, attentive and friendly.

Felipe Barousse Boué (febb): Great venue for dinner. Thai food but, honestly I was not that happy with my green curry. The curry sauce was spectacular, but the chicken pieces were awful: with nasty-floppy chicken skin and not very enticing chicken meat pieces. Would have loved it with clean boneless chicken breast bits. Expensive and disappointed, if you ask me, for this kind of meat in the curry.

Ari Rose: It’s been 7 months since I went and I still have frequent memories of how poor the experience was. Good things: Decor was beautiful and one dish was partially tasty (one of the desserts, which included rock hard pieces of rices in the mix to eat around). Bad things: I don’t mind paying for a high quality experience, but this wasn’t it. Outrageously overpriced, dishes ranging from average takeout to inedible, with painfully slow service (waiting an hour for a dish, etc etc). Hate to be a negative nancy, but some of the wiser, more recent reviews make me think the restaurant still has not improved. When a place charges these prices, they place themselves at a certain standard which Galanga did not even close to meeting. I’d stay away from the seductive decor until prices come (way) down or food/service improves. There are so many other amazing places in CDMX.

Israel Plata: Best Thai restaurant in Mexico City 😍 I’ve been here 3 times and every time I tried something different. Everything I’ve tried here looks and tastes amazing! Highly recommended.

Sesame: what do users think?

Jose de Jesus Reyes Cortes: Went on a sat night and everything was surprisingly good despite some reviews. Next to euphoric Rosetta’s bakery ….you’ll find this hidden cozy spot. The staff was super nice and everything we ordered was BOMB ! We enjoyed the vibe inside , the samosas, the dumplings , pad Thai, and ice cream. Everything delicious

Phillip Medalla: Very expensive for such type of restaurant and food. The portion was small for all that we ordered. It was kind of a hit or miss. Dumpling was bad, pork belly was great, Pho was good, the rest was okay. Value for money was not worth it. Service was also pretty lame! As Asian, I wasn’t very pleased. I would go to other places around Roma area.

Charlie Huynh: It's a real shame this place had a few bad reviews. I personally felt like it was definitely one of the better Asian restaurants I've been to. The two dishes I had were so flavorsome. I would definitely come back to hopefully see if the other ones are just as good.

Heather A Adams: The samosas are Awesome and I mention them first because pretty much everything we had after that was pretty disappointing. The steam dumplings with soup in them had thick pastry and were a bit cold and not that great. The steam buns with pork ribs were good but nothing new. And the entrée we chose we took one bite of and couldn’t finish it. It was an Indian dish with a type of yogurt and rice and the balance was ALL wrong. It was so disappointing and it didn’t get taken off of our bill or even addressed by our server. We really only saw our server in the beginning when he took the order and then didn’t see him again. The drinks were weak and not that great.

Cassie Grimm: The food was very flavorful and delicious with SUPER fast and friendly service. However portions were pretty small. I'd definitely go again.

Adriel Alstrom: Hands down the most delicious Asian food I've had in years. I live in NYC and nothing has compared to Sesame. We couldn't decide what to order, so we settled on a few small plates which is the route I highly recommend you take. They even split the pho into two bowls for us. The calamari was just so tasty, I'd go back just for that! It reminded me of a little Vietnamese restaurant you'd find in Ho Chi Minh City, they just hit every element so well.

Ahmad: The place is nice, we had to wait for almost an hour although we booked in advance. The service was very good, we were a group of 6 and we had different dishes ordered which were all good but not special. Desserts were not good for anyone and nothing “Asian” was served.

Skandar San: Yes, it is a bit pricy, but the menu is extensive and the food quality is great! With such a big range of options, anybody can find something worth trying. Food is fresh and cooked at the moment you order. Drinks (virgin and not) are great as well. We recommend it as a late meal and order to share. What we love ordering is: Pork Belly Bun - Sweet and works as an entree Kai Soup - Curry broth with noodles and chicken Tobiko Rice - The best you’ll ever have! Basil Ice-cream - Fresh and not too sweet

Lyndsey K: Was looking for Asian cuisine so decided to come here. The menu was much different than I expected. If you don’t like seafood, you won’t have many options. I don’t like seafood so I opted for the chicken curry which was pretty tasty! I wouldn’t have paid as much as they charge, but it afforded two meals so I guess it was okay. The staff weren’t that friendly… they seemed bothered by my terrible Spanish. Overall, I’d say come here if you’re in the area and you’re wanting some Asian cuisine flavor

Daniela de la Torre: If you go there, don’t expect to have real Asian Street Food… it’s really an Asian/Mexican cuisine, if you go with that in mind then you will like this place. It’s a good place to order to the center and share… don’t forget to add the Calamari (my favorite of this place and the reason I come). The price is a little bit higher for the area, but you get what you pay for. Pro Tip: next to Sesame there is Rossetta the best bakery in town, skip the dessert here and go for a sweet Mexican bread (order the rol de guayaba 🤤) and a coffee.

Mog Bistro: what do users think?

Lainey Cameron: Such an extensive menu - so many different types of Asian food from sushi to ramen to Thai and so many other more unusual options. And delicious - from what I could tell they did everything well! Tip - could have a wait on busy nights..

Jose Oscar: This place has a great variety of Asian dishes. If you have a table in the second floor you will need to take your shoes off. The calpico drink is awesome. Also try the Thai style chicken. Ramens are good.

Jason Teh: The chef's choice of skewers is a killer deal. The katsu sauce rice bowl was also delicious. Ramen was okay. Would come back except for the fact that I was charged for a takeout box ($10) and for the full price of my cocktail even though I requested it without alcohol (maybe my fault here for not requesting clarification on the charge).

Charlie Huynh: Wasn't sure what to expect before coming here. But every dish was a massive 'Wow' from me. Probably the most tasty rich ramen I've had so far in CDMX. The tempura was massive and not oily, and the Pad Thai was on point. Definitely coming back here

Ehsan Yazdan Panah: The restaurant vibe is very nice. You can see lots of people eating but you don’t feel crowded (Friday at 1700). We had Ramen 🍜 and it was ok! I am not a very fan of asian food but the broth of the ramen was very yummy. The service was not the fastest you can find CDMX but staff were very nice and friendly

Javier Santiago: Great place for Asian food: Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai and a bit Chinese. The menu has a lot of items and may be overwhelming but the servers helped us explain the main dishes. Good service. The food took a bit longer than we expected to arrive. Pricing are competitive and there is a good value. We liked the presentation and flavor. Nice atmosphere. Recommend it. The manager León is a great guy. He told us that the owners are Japanese.

Miguel Vasquez: Great service, excellent taste, staff was very friendly and lots of options. I tried their miso Ramen and various toro dishes. Everything was brought out to us promptly and outside dining was excellent. Didnt have trouble parking on the street but they do have a vallet option if you dont want to struggle. Overall we had a great experience.

Jorge Mendoza: The ramen is very tasty but not the best in Mexico city. Prepared edamames are the best. The drinks are delicious. The desserts are amazing.

Karel: This place is just awesome! Food, drinks and service is really good! The outside terasse is great! A large menu 24 pages, so you have choice!! I recommend this place for everybody.

Nadav Levy: Cool place. Great atmosphere and good food. The spicy ramen (dont remember the name) was great but the udon was just OK. Also the okonomiaky was a little bit disappointing. The matcha crepe desert was amazing. Overall great place to have dinner.

EN Asian Food: what do users think?

truvultur bb: Charming little place with delicious food! We ordered yakisoba, curry, and ramen and it was all made fresh just a few feet away from us. If you’re specifically looking for ramen I highly recommend this place. It is the BEST ramen on this side of town!

Elisa Grob: Unfortunately the Ramen was pretty bad. The vegan Ramen were sweet and hat Cinnamon in it. For me this has nothing to do with Ramen. For 190 Pesos so not worth it.

vero mnm: Super yummy ramen! Little hole in the wall - hidden gem in the center area. The staff is super friendly, the chef is awesome and the place itself has personality!

Suzanne Scheurink: Great Japanese food!!

Alx GT: Excellent food flavor and please try Green tea ice cream you'll love it!!!

CubeInTheBox: Great place to eat ramen. The chef is Japanese!

Erre: It's ok

Roxana Hernández: I was finally able to visit this place. I wanted to try the vegan ramen but there was no reason to run out. They offered me chicken curry and it was the best decision, delicious! The rib ramen they ordered was also very popular. Small place that offers delicious food.

Ken-ichi H: I'm not vegan, so I don't eat much, but I tried the vegan ramen. It is a taste that you can understand that even vegans can make delicious dishes. Don't forget to try the spicy salsa served with it. Spicy but very fragrant.

Ophelia C. C.: Since I didn't have office lunch at the end of the year, I had to offer myself a meal of the deities (Asian, ehem, there are many). When I arrived there was almost no one and I could see the menu to my heart's content: I ordered a cream soda that indeed tasted like one; but out of a can, crazy! and since I didn't want to eat rib, I ordered the vegan ramen. It was a glorious decision since with the soda I can no longer fit much food; but since they were vegetables, all good (or rather a lot of vegetables, broth and super tasty noodles in a well-served bowl and despite such a large quantity, I was able to enjoy it). I almost fell out of my seat when I saw that they had mont blanc, I had been wanting to try it for a year and a half and finally! the flavor is very delicate and quite pleasant. I highly recommend it to pamper yourself or for any other reason.
