Elah Bird: Maricela provided a fun and engaging tour of the Teotihuacan archeological site. Her depth and breadth of knowledge of Mexican (and world!) history and culture is really impressive. While we learned so much, our day felt very conversational and never rushed or like we were listening to a rote lecture. I would highly recommend Maricela is you want an exceptional tour experience.

Nancy Janin: My husband and I had a marvelous day touring Teotihuacan and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe with Maricela Munoz. She is an anthropologist who knows everything about Teotihuacan but also knows not to hit you with information overload. It was a very enriching and fascinating visit. Then at our request she took us to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe which is so important in the spiritual and cultural life of Mexicans. She not only told us the history of the various churches and the story of how the Virgin revealed herself but shared personal experiences of visiting the site all her life. Maricela speaks perfect English - and French and Spanish. During the drive up and back she answered all kinds of questions about Mexico past, present and future. We learned so much about the country and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We highly recommend Maricela.

Sarah Gilster: Our experience with MCPT couldn’t have been better! We did a Barragan morning tour of the Gilardi House then the Pedregal House followed by lunch at Tetetlan. Our guide was fantastic - very responsive over email and WhatsApp, timely, kind, a safe driver and very happy to chat with us / answer all of our questions. The VW convertible was in excellent condition, spotless and a lot of fun. The Gilardi house tour is wonderful and intimate, led by a member of the family that owns and lives in the home. We had a bit of extra time between tours which our guide offered to fill with a stop at Panaderia Rosetta for coffee and pastries — this gesture was greatly appreciated after a red eye flight and little sleep. The Pedregal House tour was led by our MCPT guide and he was so well informed and full of great tidbits and lesser known facts — it felt like a private tour since we had the entire home to ourselves for most of the tour. We were so happy we chose MCPT and can’t wait to book another tour on our next visit to CDMX! Very highly recommend!

Hugo chose great food options and made sure we had bookings for our preferred times. Private van was very new and well equipped. So, this tour perfectly catered to our interests and allowed us to maximize our time! Elli and Hugo are THE BEST! Carlos Figueroa: The tour was pretty good, but in my opinion there were a couple of things that were irritating. Before and after visiting the pyramids, they spent way too much time promoting the gifts shop and the restaurant, and did not provide enough time to explore the site. Also, there was no mention beforehand that there were still COVID restrictions in place that preventing climbing the pyramids. I would have gone anyway, but I would have liked to know ahead of time. They were punctual and the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Nisa Schoonhoven: This was a fun and informative tour - Carlos is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Mexico City and surrounding areas, has great energy, and keeps everyone engaged. He is happy to answer questions and I definitely received a deeper understanding of the sites we visited than if I had gone on my own - plus all of the logistics are taken care of for you. Very worth it!
Tricia Stephens: Excellent tour!! 8 hour tour including The Temples of the Sun and Moon, a visit to the Virgin of Guadeloupe, learning about the agave plant and labrodite and so much more. The lunch was a little touristy but if you ask the wait staff for spice they will bring you the hottest (and best) chili sauce I had in Mexico. The wait staff at the lunch spot were friendly and efficient. Carlos and Lorena were fantastic. Carlos our guide was the best part of this tour. He is knowledgeable, friendly and clearly loves what he does. Lorena drove us around safely around for the day - an important factor when you are making multuple stops. The bus was air conditioned and comfortable. I left the tour feeling like I learned a lot about Mexican culture and history AND had a great time. I recommend this tour without hesitation!

We really enjoyed the day and felt we received an excellent highlight of the three areas with a few surprises thrown in (mescal and tequila tasting and Obsidian workshop). Lunch was delicious.
