Hanky Panky Cocktail Bar: what do users think?

Veronica P: Such a cool, nice spot to visit. It is a true speakeasy with hidden entrance and exits. Thank goodness a local on the street was able to point me in the right direction, because the google maps address didnt even take me to the right spot (its across the street in what looks like a taco shop). You definitely needed a reservation when I went on a Tuesday evening. The speakeasy vibe holds true inside with a more lounge-y feel, lower music, and quiet conversation. Was exactly what I needed! The bartenders are too busy to offer pleasant conversation so it may not be the best option for solo travellers. Still good for 1 drink Highly recommend: Naked and Famous

Алиса Карасик: Lively vibrant speak-easy bar #12 in world’s top 50 bars list. They asked us to order food as they supposedly don’t have the license to serve only drinks. Menu is wide, cocktails are nice, the waiting time on Thursday evening for two of us was over hour and a half

Sunny Hirpara: My wife and I spent our last night in Mexico City at Hanky Panky and it was absolutely fantastic! We arrived early and they still allowed us to sit down. Mind you our reservation was a bit earlier and by the end of the night the bar was packed. Our bartender was super knowledgeable and even made a drink based on our preferences as a surprise. Definitely worth checking out! Great ambience as well.

Robert Gtz: What a fantastic hidden style cocktail bar. We brought in the new year 2022 here and we had a blast with everyone and staff. High quality crafted cocktails. Reservation is definitely recommended as it’s small and extremely busy. They make a fantastic “Martinez” cocktail, including a classic gimlet. If you enjoy fine handcrafted cocktails this place is a must visit. Also be noted that it’s possible you will share a table if necessary as tables are not apart of your actual reservation only being allowed In. Cocktails are worth it! Also AMEX is accepted fyi. Cheers from Texas.

Guillaume Lf: Speakeasy, the entrance is somewhat difficult to find but after all that is the principle of a Speakeasy. Really delicious cocktails, well balanced, very friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. The glass of water on arrival is always welcome. We had to wait about twenty minutes despite the reservation.

Jonathan Tierrablanca: Hands down one of my favorite bars here in Mexico City. First time I tried it was last year in September and that experience left me wanting to come back. Great drinks, amazing vibes and attentiveness to their guests is a standard every bar should aim to achieve.

HANDSHAKE SPEAKEASY: what do users think?

Robert Gtz: Place has a great vibe including good service from servers and bartenders. We actually stumbled across this bar on google and wanted to try it, we didn’t have a reservation which is best as they are fairly booked however we were let in for a limited of time before the table was needed to try it out which was cool. The drinks are very unique flavor profiles to your classic cocktails. I prefer clastic style cocktails so it was a little weird for my personal palette. However I definitely recommend for the experience of this speakeasy bar. Cheers.

Guillaume Lf: Speakeasy with an easy to find entrance, very friendly staff and friendly bartenders always ready to give explanations. The quality of the cocktails is impeccable, well balanced with original and classic choices. The prices are in the average of what we can find elsewhere in the world. A seat at the bar allows you to see the bartenders prepare your cocktail with a bit of show. They fully deserve their place in the top 50 bars in America. Worth a visit.

Kai DeBus: Drinking art. I’ve been to a countless number of bars but Handshake was without a doubt my favorite experience. The space is dark, moody, and elevated. The staff is courteous and incredibly knowledgeable about each and every technique. And the drinks. Where do I begin. My favorite was their matcha gin cocktail, which had a large ice cube sprinkled with white chocolate to look like a Japanese winter landscape topped with delicate flowers. It was superb. Handshake was the highlight of my time in Mexico City. I can’t recommend it enough

Wilson Tsang: This place has amazing drinks for a reasonable price and very intelligent bartenders who know how to explain the drinks and what they’re talking about. I had two drinks, the first one was a butter mushroom old fashioned and though it was a bit buttery for me, it was very tasty. The second drink was a matcha drink and besides being a bit sweet, i finished it quickly! Beautiful atmosphere, would definitely come again

Andrés Zamudio: Great bar, highly recommended. Well deserved spot in the list of best bars. Outstanding cocktails, cool vibe and amazing service from all the team. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Mexico City and you enjoy cocktail bars.

Aruj Maekwatana: One of the best bar ever. All drinks were on-point and well balance. Some drinks combination were eye opening for us. Despite being a walk-in, they tried their best to accommodate us. No doubt the must go place for all alcoholic.

Alana Dreimann: There’s a reason this bar is ranked #11 in the world. The service, cocktails, and atmosphere are all exceptional. Everyone working at Handshake rotates roles and responsibilities so everyone’s a bartender, but they might be working as a host or server, making them all incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. The menu is beautifully designed and pays homage to the incredible culture of craft cocktails and bartenders across Mexico City. Lastly, the bar itself swanky and welcoming with black and gold interiors and chandeliers from the ceiling. The couches make you feel right at home and the staff brings that same energy as well. 11/10 would recommend making a reservation here!

Fabiola Calderon: How can I describe the amazing time I had at handshake. I wasn’t expecting this experience at all, hidden gem in CDMX. And talking about our mixologist, Mario, super five stars. He welcomed us to the beautiful bar and explained every single item on the menu, he took care of every single detail in terms of presentation and flavors about all drinks we ordered. Besides the drinks in the menu he was super professional and knew about other drinks we wanted to have and made those for us. Very knowledgeable about worldwide drinks. Apart from the amazing drinks, Mario’s hospitality was great, always with a smile and extremely kind. Kudos for him and this place. If you want to go to an exclusive place in CDMX, this is the place, and make sure you ask for Mario for an outstanding experience.

Gaurav Jain: Most amazing speakeasy I have ever been too!! Everything is perfect about this. They will be top ten in the world in no time. Entire experience was wonderful from the sophisticated drinks to the amazing staff (shout out to Javier, David, Eric and Pam). Can’t wait to visit you all again in Mexico City!!

Chaunteé Mejia: Such an incredible experience! The staff was phenomenal. Best cocktails I’ve ever had. Make your reservations and don’t be late because it’s an experience you won’t want to miss a second of. I can’t wait to go back.“bienvenidos”!

Xaman Bar: what do users think?

Andy Lurs: The cocktails were truly a standout feature of the bar. The bartenders were incredibly skilled and each drink was expertly crafted, with a perfect balance of flavors and a unique twist. I tried a few different cocktails and was impressed by how delicious and creative each one was. The atmosphere at Xaman was also top-notch. The music was lively and the ambiance was energetic and fun. I loved the feeling of being transported back in time and the speakeasy vibe added a sense of excitement and mystery to the evening.

Sanel Selimovic: We finally found time to visit Xaman after many years on my list. This place is fantastic. I ordered two drinks that were not on the menu and the bartender did a superb job. My date ordered two mezcal based drinks from the menu and both were outstanding. Atmosphere and ambiance is of a speakeasy in a basement, limited seating but intimate and romantic. We will be returning here. The drinks are loaded with alcohol about 75ml each. For the price and quality Xaman is an outstanding must visit place in CDMX.

Tony Uribe: Great little spot with variety of specialty drinks, fun beats provided by a live deejay, and mixed crowd that keeps the energy flowing. The basement level venue can get a bit warm.

Tanya Philip: Love this tucked away speak easy style bar with vibes and ambiance for days! Cocktails were amazing, dj spinning great dance music, and a really intimate space.

Jonathan Tierrablanca: I’ve been here three times and I plan on coming back. The drinks are great, staff is attentive as well as extremely nice, and a great party atmosphere after 10pm. Also, it’s best to make a reservation or else you’ll be out of luck.

Ivanna Ames: Great speakeasy in DF. The drinks are amazing. The atmosphere and music are great. Gives me a little bit of tulum vibes.

Black Soul speakeasy: what do users think?

Tania Crespo: It is a super attentive team, from the reservation to the farewell 😍 Each of them brought something special to my birthday night with fair prices and good promotions. Very good music and very accessible DJ. We are definitely going back!

Thamara michelle silva: On the 31st I went with my friends and I had a great time, this place is a “speakeasy” concept but it really has no competition, the music is very good, the atmosphere, the cocktails 👌🏻 I would definitely go back every weekend.

lucero lizeth dominguez gonzalez: Celebrate my birthday last weekend in this speakeasy concept bar and I had a great time, they respected me all the promotions they offered me, the excellent music and with the service no problem. I highly recommend them.

Estefania Quiroz: I loved this Spekeasy, it is the best place to spend a pleasant night, with the best cocktail bar and excellent service. The place is small but the music and the great atmosphere make up for it. Highly recommended!!!

Cin GH: Good atmosphere, but the waiters, even if you go to the bar to buy a beer, want to charge you 20% commission.

Tony Arbol: a very good place for beautiful people who like the rome and countess colony also speakeasy concept is only for those who make their reservation through the excellent public relations team that characterizes it, in addition to the cocktail bar is exotic and exclusive of the place itself and its employees are always attentive to the needs of their customers a true place for people who like the good life and quality, in advance their team of captains and manager (toñito) have earned a frequent customer who will be there every weekend to enjoy this club that more than a club is a nightclub of friends and healthy living

Maria Fernanda: Very good place, a speakeasy in Rome of very good quality. The cocktail bar is exquisite and the music very good, highly recommended.

Gerardo Gutierrez Mancera: I had an incredible time, the concept behind the restaurant is unique, as you feel that magic of mystery when you enter.

Parker & Lenox: what do users think?

Marcel Ohrenschall: I love the two-area concept of this place. First the Café/ Bar in the front and by going through a small door behind the bar you’re entering the Jazz club like a backstage guest :) The old fashion was great. You definitely need to make a reservation. They only have one place which works as a „waiting list“, if you come early. The owner was really kind offering that to us, but I would rather prefer a concept where there would be a little bit more space for spontaneous guests as well. Otherwise you need to find another Jazz Bar. This is only in regards to the live music. You’ll always have the chance to get a nice seat on the front bar. The Staff was very kind.

Aaron Brooks: Recommend making a reservation or you could have a wait on busy nights. Walk up and ask for bar in the back. Full jazz band which was awesome!

Ale O: Must visit. The music is fantastic, the ambience is great. The food is really good, the fries are thin slices of golden crispy perfection, if you are craving American comfort food, Parker and Lenox is the place to visit. The drinks are something else, perfect for a date or hang out with friends. Bonus* they serve dinner after 10 ☺️

Kamila Andree: Cozy jazz bar, delicious drinks.

Melissa S.: Came on a Tuesday night- was able to sit at the bar. The cocktails were excellent and had a kick. The jazz musicians that night created a chill and relaxing vibe. We had a few appetizers and enjoyed the croquetas de jamón the most! It was a wonderful experience!

Monica Rivera: Awesome jazz bar. The place is really cool, it is hidden behind the restaurant. Food is very good, they have a good variety in their menu. Prices are accesible. The cover is 100 mxn which is pretty cheap. Service is fast and friendly. They have valet parking service. They have a great selection of jazz artists. Very local supportive. A must for jazz lovers. Reservations are encouraged to grab a good seat.

Deleted Souls: what do users think?

John Corcoran: Best cocktail bar in Mexico City! We had an incredible night here. Bartenders will take care of you (in Spanish or English), introduce you to new liqueurs and cocktails, and create such a fun atmosphere. Go here! We had Deleted Soul (pictured), Mortal, Dead Man’s Bones, Naked and Famous.

Pranav Dhingra: This is it. Absolute wow! The owner pours all his passion into crafting the most phenom cocktails. The namesake drink “deleted souls” tastes like luscious smoky perfume in a good way. The classics like old fashioned, margaritas are too good. Highly recommend! Condé Nast find this place lol.

Brent Wakefield: What a cocktail experience. Warm and welcoming people in a gothic setting that were brilliant at mixing. Have the namesake cocktail. You won’t regret it. The vibe and music were excellent!

Daniel Vesey: Lwuan and Genesis welcomed us with open arms and a passion for mixology. The menu has unique specialty cocktails featuring local ingredients and liquors but also classics we all know and love! The music was on point and the bar had great atmosphere. Check this place out if you’re in Mexico City!

mazfinny: It’s smaller than what you think. But the extensive menu is large and they are creative with their options. Some nice jungle techno vibes on a Friday night

Tiffany Wertheimer: Great cocktails and staff, but the music didn’t do it for me - loud techno vibes were too much for what I’d describe as an intimate cocktail bar.

Laura Mendez: Lengthy list of cocktails, I loved every single one I ordered, I highly recommend the "deleted soul" and "v & Enix", they were my fave.

Carmen Pop: Best cocktail bar in CDMX. We had multiple drinks here and each one was excellent. If you love quality cocktails, you go here. Also, the music is on point.

The Brooklyn Rippers: what do users think?

Diana Pereyra: This place is great. There is a speak easy in the back that has a very cozy and chilled back atmosphere. I had to try the pizza since I’m originally from Brooklyn NYC and to my surprise the pizza was flavorful and enjoyable even though it’s not your typical nyc pizza dough. The drinks were lovely and the mixologist experts. I would definitely come back.

Jack Medlin: Amazing space for a drink and great pizza. The atmosphere is really cool and is very reminiscent of a speakeasy. Friendly staff that can speak English if you need. The drinks are creative and taste great, and the liquor is just the right amount. The pear and Gorgonzola pizza is incredible. This spot hasn’t really been discovered yet, and you need to try it before it is! Can’t recommend enough!

Casey Moffitt: Funky speakeasy, walk into the pizza shop and ask for the bar- they’ll radio the bar who comes to get you and walk you through a side entrance to a hidden lounge. Drinks were strong! Not a lot of people when we went, but we could imagine the vibe being cool with a group.

Stan Medlin: Excellent cocktails and amazing pizzas. We stumbled upon this place unexpectedly and loved it! Came back the next night for more drinks and pizzas. Definitely check it out!

Raquel Ramirez: Walk up to a cute Italian restaurant, ask for the secret bar, and you’ll soon be escorted through the restaurant, the kitchen, and a secret code locked door to Brooklyn… a moody speakeasy with well crafted cocktails. Don’t be fooled by the tame restaurant decor out front, this bar has a style. From the loungy couches to a secret open roof, to the classic creations served in chic glassware with modern garnishes, the back room is a cool hangout spot to impress your visiting friends. They offer some food, but I had just come from dinner so we spent our 2 hours there hanging out over drinks and good conversations. Pro tip: call ahead to make a reservation because they can fill up pretty quickly on busy days!

Shelly: Great speakeasy. Original and unique cocktails. Would recommend, would visit again.

Surya Manchikanti: Great ambience, fantastic service, actual hideaway bar, and good vibes. CDMX this is your best bar hands down

LaTasha Young: Super cute Speakeasy in the back of an Italian restaurant. The drinks and service are great.

Charlotte Raciboski: This place is great! The cocktails are strong, the space is brick Chicago style. Fun music and they are flexible to change it up for you, comfy seats. Great for groups or date night

Maison Artemisia: what do users think?

Making Waves: Very cozy little bar. First floor had a nice ambience with candles. Went to the rooftop for the absinthe. Nice rooftop bar. A lot of seating. Absinthe served with a sugar cube on a spoon. Absinthe was very good, ordered two. A lot of tourists (Americans). Would visit again. Absinthe was $150 pesos.

Dustin Staggers: One of my favorite bars, in any country, period. My man just asked my spirit preferences, my flavor profile preferences, and started serving up masterpieces. 3rd time there and when we move there in March it will be a regular spot for us.

Stephanie Pratt: Lovely bar upstairs in an old building. Service was friendly and when we ordered the Absinthe they served it in a traditional way and were really keen to explain everything to us. The place was buzzing by about 8pm

Maria Del Refujia: Ordered the macadamia mai tai and champagne honey drinks to go. Very unique flavors. the champagne honey has a floral almost soapy flavor. Drinks are pricey here. Liked the fresh flowers added to the drinks.

Fantasia Warren: Paulina was incredible and the food was perfect. I’m American and grew up eating grilled cheese, but this place topped any other place in the world. Paulina was so Nice and helped us choose her favorite mezcal. If you are visiting Mexico City, don’t miss out on this spot

Melanie s: Great cocktails, great service, great vibes. Looking forward to come back here. The space was really great and cozy.

Amit Patankar: My kind of place! I love their drinks and the ambiance , setup is just perfect for an evening with friends or someone special or even if you’re by yourself.

Minnie Villamar: Good atmosphere, has hygiene measures and healthy distance. Their drinks are very good, affordable prices. Excellent attention. They should extend their hours. And put more tables

Pablo CarAvi: Too good. The place is small but the product is great. It is very cheap, there is no snack or anything, only its star product. Tamarind is recommended.

Daniel gonzalez: excellent service And the micheladas are great They also have several flavors

alejandro salvador hernandez: Good place to have a drink.

Abel m.v.: Nice place, just a little bit small.

luis camargo: The super huge hamburgers, the micheladas with an excellent unique flavor, you are left wanting one more liter, my favorite is the tamarind one

yessica hernández: Very economical and very rich, only more space would be needed since there are only 4 or 5 tables but very pleasant

Francisco Ramos: A good service, very rich micheladas, good price, very good atmosphere, everything is excellent

GinGin: what do users think?

Felix's Buch Club: I love great bars and good cocktails! This place has both! The person is also super friendly and the cocktails are amazing. I can recommend the house cocktail with the surprising name: gin gin :D But a Hugh minus point is the place is not heated. So you definitely need some warm closings.

Karthik Sajikumar: Great cocktail bars for anyone visiting Roma neighborhood and who loves a good gin joint. Definitely try their signature Gin Gin cocktail. Do try their food as well. We ordered the beef arugula appetizer which was delicious. Their cardamom ice cream is a must try as well for anyone who has not tried the flavor yet

David Shapiro: Great ambiance and service. Food: goat cheese and fig pizza was great, salmon, shrimp tacos, veggie burger were all good. Everything else was decent. Music a bit loud so made it hard to talk across a larger table.

Humberto Garcia: Great place every year i come to mexico city have to come and trye their drinks great cocktails also great service cant wait till next time

Chi Vu: I love the cocktails at this bar. The mango mezcal and expresso martinis are exceptional. The hookah is very smooth. Love the vibes and services too.

La Barra del Patrón Roma Norte: what do users think?

Jeremiah Carroll: The two cocktails for $200MXN is a good deal. There are sixteen choices. The service is good with friendly staff. Four stools inside with standing room for about ten more people. Outdoor seating for eighteen.

Debi Slinger: Pretty nice place to come and choose what you’d like and del Patron was one of them. Located upstairs, there was a lot to like about all of this. The choices available are good and our group tried a little bit of everything. Drinks were reasonable prices. Not wheelchair friendly as it’s upstairs. Kid friendly.

Emilia Baur: Very tasty cocktails with nice staff and cool vibe, went there for birthday drinks, defined would recommend that!

Adarsh Thaker: Lalo was our bartender. We were two co ples visiting the Bazaar Saturday from LA to check out art and shopping. The staff showed us a great time... Spent a long time doing mezcal and mezcal cocktail tastings at the bar. A great place to unwind and taste some delicious mezcal.

Bryan Hucke: Great find off the beaten path. Good selection of mezcal drinks. Service was friendly. Place is very small but several tables located outside too. Super chill, in a good way.Update: the Patron Mule was great!

María Mena: Very rich cocktails but with a lot of ice, but they are worth it and very smooth mezcal.

Enchulame al Chucho: Excellent cocktails. Fish and chips. Talk...laughs. attention. connections. Agus and Carlos are the wave. It is the place to have a drink in the neighborhood.

David García Montero: The food is delicious and the drinks are excellent. A totally recommended place. I discovered it already half fart and it was the best.
