El Babalú: what do users think?

Lukshmi Shanthakumar: Good fun- great band and lots of people to dance with

rodney munoz: Great spot

ruben jesus ramos: This place has a peculiarity regarding the hours and the influx of visitors to the "club". At 10 p.m. the place opens and people are lined up to enter which fills up in 5 minutes, the music of the DJ is already playing, and the dance floor receives expert dancers and not so much. A couple of hours before there are some classes, so at the opening time of the track there are at least 40 people already in the place. This place is excellent for dancing and a very good atmosphere. Although the place is not big, the space is used well since there are no tables or chairs! The whole space is a dance floor. Also plays a live band Drinks, beer and the classic soft drinks. Moderate prices. It is located one street away from La Reforma, on the corner of Río Nilo and Río Lerma.

Victoria Abril Maza González: A great place to dance and learn some salsa online

Luis Eduardo Ornelas: The worst place to come to have fun, there is no orchestra and the place is lousy, I really only give it one star to be able to add the comment. I WOULD NEVER COME BACK HERE!! The restaurant next door has more atmosphere than this.

Oskar Lo: The place is not as big as it looks on the face, it has good music, good staves, there is level, if it had music with more brass it would be phenomenal but the stage is small.

Jorge Sánchez Rivero: The best thing about this place is the live orchestra. The DJ is not far behind, but the live orchestra has its 5 stars earned. I do not give it 5 because I would love it to be more spacious and with a greater possibility of sitting down. However, that is not an impediment, and it is justified because it shares the premises with another super large restaurant, but, furthermore, if you go to this place it is not to stay seated, but to leave in a wheelchair from what tired of dancing! I personally quite enjoyed it and would go back many more times.

Jonathan Dorantes: A place to dance Casino, the beautiful girls, you don't need to know how to dance because they give classes right there, accessible cover, women don't pay as far as I understand, men 100 pesos with the right to a beer. Foreigners come easily. Unique but for me, sometimes too crowded and you have to make your space. 90% of women are very sociable and agree to dance.

Ana Moreno: Excellent place to learn Cuban salsa, the class is very good and fun, live orchestras and great atmosphere for all those who just want to go dancing for the pleasure of dancing, highly recommended! Great place to visit if you want to get a quick lesson in the basics of Cuban salsa, live bands and great vibe, all the people there go for the love of dancing, don't be shy to dance or ask someone to dance.

Gynna Ariza: If you want to dance salsa and listen to very good groups like the best atmosphere, this is the place. It is also zero pretentious, it is not expensive and people of all kinds go to dance and practice what they learned in class

Jaswinder Taank: Went here on a Friday night with some friends after a salsa class together. This was basically a club playing salsa music, so I liked that I could practice my new moves even further. Bartenders were fast. I liked their mezcal shot. Note that there is a cash cover of 120 pesos for everyone.

Simon B: What an absolute blast! $60 per person admission. Saturdays are packed and fun. Sundays are more mellow. 💃 Plus best live music in town. Saturdays are about packed to capacity, band starts at about 11pm. Tons of fun and hardly enough space to dance - but super fun. Sundays starts a lot earlier, 6pm. Dance students try out their skills in the earlier part of the set but plenty of room to move throughout the evening.

Dean Velentzas: Had an OK time dancing, but the hyper-masculine bouncer was unnecessarily rude and horrible to communicate with. It was very clear he had some negative biases towards Anglophones, and treated myself and my boyfriend with complete disrespect. If he wasn't there, would have been a decent time!

Cruz: Good live music and everyone was dancing. They have and upstairs and downstairs as well as an area in the back so it's very spacious but it does get super packed. The service was very quick and the drinks were good.

Harry Richardson: Great vibe here. Amazing dancing. Most tables reserved when we went. Band started around 11pm (Thursday)

Jinli Xie: If you come to Roma, it doesn't matter if you like salsa music; it doesn't matter if you like live music; it doesn't matter if you like dancing. This place is a MUST visit! Good vibes, music, and people, everything! Awesome place! Highly recommend!

꧁sʇuʌɹϽ ᴉuoꓕ꧂: MamáRumba Is a great place to go salsa dancing. This place particularly has Cuban salsa which is different to other Salsa styles like Puerto Rican or NY. There is actual no dancefloor. People dance in the aisles or between tables. There is dancing Thrusday through Saturday. Saturday dance on March 2018 was $120 pesos. There is a live band but it starts playing late. Around 2300 or later. It may be too loud for some people. Usually there is a group dance performance. I have seen impersonation performances as well. I often see Asian and American people going to this place. This place is usually crowded and if you want a table better make a reservation. I recommend MamaRumba.

Luis Cabrera: It gets really complicated to dance as it gets really crowded. Thursday at 9pm you can attend the salsa class (divided by beginners and advanced). Thursday is the best day to go for a dance. Although it gets crowded I recommend to have the experience if you are a foreigner.

Kirubel Mersha: Me and my gf went here on a Saturday night. Not too much of a wait at the door. They have free re entry if you need to smoke or make a call. It does get packed so you will be waiting at the bar for a drink. The live band is great and makes the music pop. It gets crowded but there are pockets of space you can move to if you want more space to dance. Great salsa spot with good music and a fun vibe. Recommend this place for sure.

Lilian: If you are in Mexico for a short visit this is a good place, it’s full of both locals and tourists/ expats. You pay cover at the door and the later you get there the longer the line, its NOT a cocktail place better stick to basics or a mojito. what is cool is if you are new to salsa and want to learn you will probably get a chance to do so and bonus points for the live band that starts around midnight.

Club San Luis: what do users think?

Alejandro Rivera: I do not recommend coming here. People stole our belongings and staff does NOTHING!! They gave our table to someone else while we were there!!!And it is pretty expensive as well.

Slothyogi: The door person was rude and dismissive. A friend recommended I go there because I’m a salsa dancer. However, I guess they don’t care about business or money because the man at the door barely even looked at me when he told me I couldn’t go in. I won’t be going back. There are much better places to dance salsa nearby anyway. I think they’re trying to be exclusive, but honestly it doesn’t look like a very nice place

Bertha Cerda: We went yesterday and had a great time everyone was very servicial good service the music good place to have fun and safe we love it

MachiiPicchu: Bands were great. Don’t fall into the floor tables bottle service!

Juan Pablo Duque Angel: Good place with a live band, the staff at the entrance is not really friendly and as in many places in Mexico, if they let you in is like they are doing you a favor. Once you are in, the music is fun. Mainly salsa and cumbia.

Marco Hernández Calvo: Don’t get fooled, this is not an authentic salsa place, it was a decade ago! , now it’s business model changed, expensive for what they offer, a beer is around 100 MXN, the bands aren’t good (if you have heard an authentic salsa band you know what I mean). The service is very bad, they just want to take out you money, they doesn’t really care about the experience of the people, they care about their money. Cheap and false pachuco outfits of the waiters, it’s intended for tourists. For a REAL salsa place go somewhere else! These guys are mercenaries, it’s a shame! It was a great place. They doesn’t accept credit cards, come on! they are probably avoiding taxes.

cedric durand: Don't waste your time. Horrible place, force you to get a bottle before getting in and still make you wait outside an hour while they let in people tvey already know. Must avoid.

Briana Barrales: Best place to dance salsa. It's not overly crowded where you can't dance. There is also a live group playing every night. The service is amazing. Every time I vacation I make sure I go at least twice. The only thing is I wish on the weekends they would close later.

Alejandro Paz Lasso: Way too overpriced place. The music and mood is acceptable if not for its horrifying prices, plus having every waiter watching your every single move (especially at the restroom…), almost demanding a tip for every small thing they do. Definitely not worth the price.

Nikola Mirkov: The music is amazing! But there are only women that ask for 200 pesos to sit with you at the table and 50 pesos for a dance. Of course, you are informed about it once you want to pay the check before leaving.

Salsa Dance Club Polanco Condesa: what do users think?

Anna L: Really fun classes, great instructors, learned a lot! Since I am in Mexico City just for a little bit, I am paying per class which is currently 150 pesos/session. There are instructors for different levels at all classes, so definitely feel free to join. The classes were small and I received a lot of individual attention, which was very nice. Would highly recommend!

Alexa Dannemiller: Victor was our instructor, we took a private lesson just tonight and will sleep well tonight!! He went above and beyond to teach us and push us with new salsa moves. A kind teacher, and I hope to come back to learn from him again.

Vijeet Suman: Fraud and scam. don't fall for it. The owner is a good dance teacher, but the teachers are substandard. Before you pay the fees, the owner will give you a trial class and once you pay for the class, they will send you to sub-standard teachers. Also, there are some policies that only the owner knows about and when we were ready to pay extra for private classes (after taking only 1 class), he told us that we had to pay both the monthly fee (already paid) and the fee for the classes. private for the same month. It's a complete scam, just don't be fooled. Find something better.
Response: Dear Vijeet, Having the body coordination and skills necessary to be able to dance requires time and several learning sessions, especially when starting from scratch. We honestly do not understand how AFTER ONE CLASS you can talk about fraud, tell lies and make such a wrong judgment about the work of 10 dance teachers and the teaching method of an academy with more than 5 years of experience. Despite all this, and hoping to be able to give you our best service, the doors of our academy are open for you to take the days of class that you paid for and that you still have pending. We remind you that YOU PAID FOR A MONTHLY PACKAGE OF GROUP CLASSES. THE PRIVATE CLASS PACKAGES HAVE ANOTHER COST AND SCHEDULES. ** Fraud is paying for a service and wanting to obtain a higher benefit in return.

miguel arellano camacho: An excellent site. The Cuban salsa and bachata teachers are amazing. Widely recommended for everyone from those looking to learn to dance to the most experienced.
Response: Thanks for your comment ! We follow your orders!!!

Victor Arias: Excellent place to learn to dance. The best teacher Víctor My respects and admiration. Price and Quality

Jesus Vargas: The best place to learn to dance salsa or bachata in CDMX, the teachers are excellent dancers, patient and adapt to each person's level of dance, they have patience to teach and in general an excellent atmosphere is created to have a good time. Completely recommended !
Response: Thanks a lot for your preference ! Cheers !

D. Mauricio Dominguez Martinez: Excellent place to learn to dance and have fun, very good vibes !!!!

imsu longkumer: Gave 1 star for rude and biased staffs. However, the dance teacher was pretty good. I was told not to take my bag inside as that's the rule. I told them my bag contain only my wallet and my bag ( a small tiny hand bag) will be with my boyfriend who won't be dancing and will take care of the bag, but we were denied and one of the stuffs told us to leave the place. With no choice, I left my tiny bag at the counter for which they charged me additional ( bag counter charge..lol) However, after 10 mins I see some people inside the dance floor with a large hand bag. I mean, seriously.. If thats the rule why exception to some people. Extremely rude rude staffs. Never coming back. This 1 star is only for the rude staffs. Otherwise, 4 stars for the dance lessons.
Response: We are sorry for what happened, we send you the contact WhatsApp 55 2708 3463

Manuel Del Valle: Extremely expensive, bad service and poor quality in drinks and food. Good music and show, but not enough to get over the cover, the awful actitudes of every person at service and the different scam methods they have.

Charlotte Raciboski: The best place for salsa and Bacharach lessons! 2 for 1 drinks during the 2 gourmet class (goes by super fast) great music fun crowd, great teachers. No partner needed, show up, learn to dance, meet people , have a cocktail!

J C: What an amazing vibe! I loved that place. They had also a great salsa group from Colombia, Yambó. The service was excellentMake sure you come before 12 because they won't let you in. We arrived at 1130 and it already had many people. Totally worth it.

MARIOSO1: Was denied on a Saturday night . Was told only groups of 3 or more . I was really disappointed as a tourist.

Kat B: Dance class was fun. Good teachers and music but service was awful. Never going to return. Took 20 min and fighting with waiters to get a bottle of water. They had a drink promotion which they closer early And then coatcheck tried to double charge to take out an umbrella. Asked for manager - he never came.

Paul Sleviin: Great place to dance and have a great time. I'm assuming that because of the location the drinks are way too expensive. Could have a bigger dance floor, everyone is crammed in the dance floor and you end up dancing in the walkways.

꧁sʇuʌɹϽ ᴉuoꓕ꧂: I went to Mambicafe Insurgentes on Friday night. I arrived early. I was told that they had limited sitting. They had tables where people can order shots or other tables for people had to buy the whole bottle. Only the later were available. I had plans to drink but not a whole bottle so I was not able to get in because I was not buying a bottle. We went to Mama Rumba Roma instead

Gar ZV: The dancing class is awesome, sadly the mambo cafe is only trying to get money from you... mandatory wardrobe, they require hard formal shoes and a reservation to let you in. Too much old people orientation...Sad....

Alyson Acosta: Promised bachata but didnt put a single bachata in almost 3 hours we were there. A true latin club should play a variety of music but the dj seemed to not care.

Shabina Begum: I am super grateful to the dancing instructors for making me feel so welcome at the studio. The dancing made me feel more connected to this country and the classes enabled me to make some amazing friends and create a special community during my stay in Mexico 🇲🇽 I was also super grateful to the instructors for trying to accommodate the fact that I didn’t speak much Spanish. Towards the end however I found myself picking up Spanish phrases thanks to these dance classes, so in effect I learnt not only salsa and bachata but also some Espanol! Gracias ☺️

עומר ש: Dancing is a lot of fun I like to explore different styles and the private lessons was very good for that! I had a lot of fun dancing and the guide was very professional Highly Recommend
Response: Thank you very much we continue to your orders

Gen Lee: Arelli has been nothing but amazing in teaching salsa cubana and I am glad that I had taken classes with her!! She is very meticulous and technical and I will definitely continue learning from her whenever possible!!
Response: Thank you so much! Hope to see you soon! Salsa Condesa is your home :)

Alicia Desantis: First review I’ve ever posted in google, but wow I just have to: I was traveling from NYC and a beginner who thought to try out some classes — it turned out to be 8 weeks dancing with Marco and it’s hard to express how wonderful it’s been. I have improved wildly but really it’s the place and the people — excellent, warm and welcoming. I could not recommend it more highly. As someone else said here — if I could give more stars I would.
Response: Thank you! You’re a great dancer !

Andy Neary: Came here for a beginner salsa class while visiting Mexico City. Decent class but before the class started was told the classes were m$150 per person, afterwards we were told by the same person that they were m$250 per person! This was the only time I was ripped off during my 5 days in the city which was otherwise a fantastic experience colored by meeting many very nice people. Avoid this place if you are a tourist.

Shay Singh: The teachers here are truly amazing and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone. I've taken salsa classes with other teachers before, but I find them to be the best ones yet. Me and my friend have been taking private lessons with Marco and Arely since over a month, and they both make great team. Marco has taught us the dynamics of the male dancers and adds a male point of view to the learning experience; whereas Arely is very technical, and has been helping us with the subtle nuances of the movements in addition to sharing the female point of view. I love everything about them - their relaxed and friendly personalities, careful attention to technical details, and responsive communication. They've helped us improve MASSIVELY and I love them both

Preethi Nallu: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI am completely new to Salsa and signed up for 8 private classes and really enjoying them. I am at my sixth class and can see huge progress since the first one. I would definitely recommend Marco as an instructor. He makes the lessons fun and light, but also pushes students where needed!

Chenyu Zheng: Wonderful salsa studio with great and attentive teachers! I learned a lot :) it’s also in a great area and you can find good food afterwards.
Response: Thanks a lot!!!!

Juan Carlos: Despite my first 4 classes were very good and can say now that dancing is very easy to me, I'm very angry because I paid 8 lessons and, because of my schedule, could not attend them daily/weekly. After one month they told me that my lessons expired and had to pay again if I wanted to take the rest of the lessons [4 lessons left]. What makes this situation special is that they NEVER TELL YOU ABOUT THIS EXPIRATION DATE.
Response: We are sorry about this situation, but whenever a new student enrolls with us, on the flyer where we give you your ID number, we specify the validity of each package. The 4 and 8 classes package are for you to come once or twice a week and the intention of the validity is that you don't interupt the learning process. Only for this time we could give you two weeks to take the classes you have left, but please understand that none of our packages have an unlimeted validity.

Julio L M: Positive: Professionalism, QualityThe best place to learn salsa in Mexico City by far. Classes are incredibly funny and after 3 months I was dancing without even notice. 100% Recommended

Alberto Ochoa: The best place ever to dance Cuban music . Music is always live, prices are a little high and also the food but it is really tasty. It is a familiar environment where young and old people go to have fun and dance until it closes.
Response: We appreciate your rating and your comment we love that you like it! We are waiting for you soon.

Carlos S. Pérez: Nice salsa bar with a cozy dancefloor

Javier Cervantes: Great! Just very little space for dancing. But the crowd is beautiful.

Salon Tropicana de Mexico: what do users think?

Juan Sebastián Delvasto: The show wad good. Juan Gabriel and mariachis, hillarious. All the joy was gone when they brought the bill. 1300 Mexican pesos for 4 (each 158) drinks. How is that possible? They tried to rob us charging a fee and changing a 500 bill for a 20 as they are both blue. Mother flickers! Never go there, or be cautious. At your own risk! Be aware or get robbed or worse! I hope tourists could read all the bad reviews before...

Erika Martinez: Wow, I should have checked the reviews before going to this place. I had to ask them to adjust the cover fee, and the waiter left the bill had the same amount after he said he fixed it. They also try to say they were only taking cash. After they finally found a way to charge my credit card, I found out that they overcharged me close to $2,000 pesos. I used their own calculator to add all the drinks, which came up to $2,960, but they were asking for $4,800. Then, after the 15%, it should have been $3,395... the manager still charged me $4,260. I didn't and add the 15% for the service fee when I calculated all the drinks... And he just added an extra $1,000 pesos to my bills just because. I didn't realize until I was out of there, and my cousins recommended not to go back because they don't give you the money back. Please avoid this place and just sit on the lil bar on the opposite side of the plaza. Their Micheladas are $100 pesos, and they give you a whole Littler cup. You'll have more fun there. This Tropicana place is for sure a tourist trap!!! They will rob you right on your face. Yes, this is the correct Salon Tropicana. Their main dba is called LA JALADA. Which is what they do to tourist or people they see buying drinks. Even if the manager gets on here and says this is not the correct, it is. My cousins took pictures of the managers and the people working there in case.

Adreena Angela: We went late at night to see a dance duo and had so much fun. A really old school dance hall with basic drinks but a great vibe on the right night. The crowd was young fun and queer mixed in with Mexican locals. One of my Mexico city highlights

Nadia Policard: SCAMMERS! We went to this place and ordered ONLY a bottle of tequila for 1795 pesos that came with water and two sodas. However, our bill was 3300 pesos. Something we could not understand. They did NOT bring us an itemized receipt and refused to take credit cards. A man came to our table only with a charge on a piece of paper that he hand wrote. RED FLAG!!! They even demanded a tip!!! We were five women visiting on vacation and felt like we had no choice but to pay. Do not waste your time and avoid getting scammed. They are straight thieves!! What a shame.

Catherine Storm: Please read the other reviews before you decide to go. This business is a scam. My wife and I arrived on Friday February 25th. We wanted to watch live music and have some drinks. Like the other reviews we were charged over 1200 pesos ($60USD)for 3 drinks. Drinks, table charge, entertainment charge and service charge. BTW...No signs outside or on the menu to let you know. To top off the experience..we called over the manger to discuss the bill. My wife speaks fluent Spanish and asked him about the charges. He explained them and we thought it was ridiculous but paid him in cash. All of the sudden the manager got very aggressive and said we shorted him 500 pesos. He literally tried to rob us by switching the money from one hand to the next hand. We assured him no we did not and gathered our things and left. . The staff was friendly and the music was good. It is a shame that the management will not run a legit business. Buyer beware and stay away from this place. Like other people who reviewed.. go next door and have a better experience.

Angel Magadan: I will never be back here. They will still your money! My family and I went to have a good time, but ended up leaving angry and disappointed with this experience. They lied to us telling us we could not pay in cash, they also added 1200 to our bill.

Dylan Clark: Avoid!! Overcharged! Got a handwritten bill, inflated, and added improperly. Mediocre food, anyway. So many honest people in Mexico City: our only bad experience was here.

mohamed gamal: I wish I would have read "Juan Sebastián Delvasto" post below before dining at this restaurant as this exact thing happened to us. My wife and I purchased both food and drinks... food okay, but drinks tasted like there wasn't any alcohol in it. When we received the check, we saw that it had an additional 100 pesos charge attached to it, but we didn't say anything as we just assumed it was for the entertainment. Stupid mistake! We placed the full amount, 800 pesos (one 500 pesos bill & three 100 pesos bill), on the table, and the waiter immediately told us that we had paid with a 20 peso bill instead of the 500 peso bill. I was sure I gave 500 but the waiter insisted saying us the 20. So we gave an additional 500 pesos not knowing we just were scammed. The next day, my wife calculated our spending and we realized this... WOW!! BEWARE!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS AND THIEVES. THEY ROBBED US! I think because we purchased food, we didn't get charged for 2000 pesos like others, but they definitely tricked us by saying we paid with a 20 instead of a 500, since they're both blue in color. Definitely recommend to STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT/BAR AS THEY WILL SCAM YOU, LIKE THEY DID TO ME AND MY WIFE.

Gulia A: Stay away from this place. Ripoff.Food is awful. Service doesn't exist. At the end they give you the check and overcharge you by lathe amounts (+400/500 pesos). The staff is rude and threatening.

Alberto Loera: Beware of waiters taking advantage they will try to charge for the table minimum of $300 pesos and they will over charged the taxes when it supposed to be 16% of total. The food and shows are nice but makes everything worse @ the time of paying the bill with them talking very gradually over advantage.

Delao ZONA ROSA: what do users think?

Lyza Olmedo: Great prices and awesome salsa playing live band! Dance floor is small for the amount of people there and needs resurfacing. Had a great time.

Victoria Fay: Very busy. Great deals on beers on Fridays. If you love music and dancing it's a good option.

Nad Rodríguez: Very popular bar with live music and great location.

S. ASTRIT SUAREZ: Perfect

Patricia Vazquez: When entering for having already arrived past 10 the cover was $50 The atmosphere is very good since there is live music, either from a group or from the DJ, but if you want to dance, the floor is small and you can't even enjoy it. The tattoo studio we were going with for their anniversary ended up divided over why they had dirty water leaking from the bathroom that they couldn't control. I thought the drink prices were good, but like everywhere they give you few mixers. When paying you can pay in cash or by card, however they charge you a 10% tip or the service within the account and you still have to tip the waiter who served you. Even though the waitresses were attentive. It's been an ugly experience and I'm not going back.

Daniel Yaxi: The place is good if you go to dance and have fun, if you go before 8 the bucket has a good price, the orchestra has a good repertoire. However, they harass you to give the tip and they demand 20%, even though it is not mandatory (with arguments that they take away 12% and 8% are shared). Once the account is paid, they forget that you are still there, and they stop serving you. If they start to go tables without paying even though you're still consuming, they'll force you to pay since it's not someone's fault that happens to them.
Response: Every opinion is valid because of it we correct and improve our attention and service, thanks for your visit.

Susy Sanchez: It is a good place to have a good time. The beer is really affordable, the waiters are very attentive. They include you in the bill if you tip. They have a live band.

Damaris Morgado: I went to a Christmas dinner on Friday, December 23 and a waitress named Nadia stole my bag, there was a cover-up by the other waiters of the staff, the manager was the only one who helped me with what when seeing the cameras it was verified how She covered her bag with a napkin and went to hide it in the bathroom. I do not recommend going at all, I doubt they will run the waitress and all the other people who helped her

Maribel Mar: Good music, but too young to dance. They require a minimum consumption of $800 per table, so if you go alone with your partner it is not convenient. If you buy a bottle and you don't finish it, you can take it with you 👍

Fer Acevedo: This place meets the 3B 👌🏻 It is super accessible, I came on a Friday and the atmosphere is super cool. The only thing is that it is very hot, but from then on, everything is perfect. The waiters super attentive. Good.

Cleo Jasmine: This place has very high energy and great vibes. The lines to get a drink can take a while but at least we were entertained by the reggae music blasting. If you like having a dance under coloured lights with a drink in hand to some reggae music, this is the place for you.

Gabriel Ferreira: Great music and nice place to hang out. Only take cash, no credit cards. Beers are medium, would expect more. Pulque is very good

Doc Holliday: This place is the best. It has chill fun reggae and really kind people. Good vibes only. I even lost my glasses and security helped me find them.

Adan Juarez Jr: I had a great time, DJ’s do an amazing job the music sounds extremely clear and planned out, drinks are fairly priced crowd is friendly everyone is just there to vibe to good music

Maria Rios: It's a fun reggae club, live music, good pulque, and mixed drinks. 3 stairs, 3rd stairs has a balcony where ppl can go outside &smoke. Lady in rr gives small squares of toilet paper, bring your own.

Mercedes Santana: Fantastic music and atmosphere but the guys at the door can be quite rude. Don't leave jackets unattended! They will be gone in a matter of minutes.

Mariela Jimenez: Amazing place to dance and listen to reggae music!

Junueth V: NICE VIBES. NICE PLACE. NICE PEOPLE. BEST PLACE OF REGGAE IN MEXICO

Estrella José Aranda: Good

ISM Salsa Bachata: what do users think?

Tam Pham: ISM is the BEST place for travelers to learn how to dance and meet international friends. The makeup is half expats and half locals which is perfect for those who want to have that variety. They have an active dance schedule throughout the week along with frequent socials. The class sizes tend to run large so expect to learn lots of moves but for specific technicalities, I recommend to book a private with one of their local teachers. I’ve met some of my closest friends through ISM and I am forever grateful to Kentaro, the team, and the people who make up this amazing community. 🙏😊
Response: Thank you Tam!! I am appreciated for your feedback! see you soon

Kristine U: I took private classes with Michelle in order to learn lady styling and to review dancing codes. I'm an intermediate dancer and can follow well but wanted to uplevel my abilities since I felt like I was at a roadblock. Michelle was really amazing and leads incredibly well. She is super patient and I learned a lot from her. We had a bit of miscommunication at the beginning for scheduling but Kentaro (the owner) helped a lot and things went super smoothly from there. It was also really nice to dance in the park and be in the fresh air. Definitely sign up to dance with Michelle! Can't recommend her enough.
Response: Thank you sooooo much 😀see you soon

Becky Olivares: I moved to CDMX recently and am a long-time salsa dancer. I was missing dancing soooo much given the pandemic. I was so happy to find Kentaro’s group and his salsa classes. Although the classes are geared toward beginners, he does throw in challenging choreography…the classes are always well-attended and people who attend are keen on learning which makes it enjoyable (even for a more experienced dancer). Everyone is quite friendly. I’ve attended at least 4 sessions so far and will keep doing so as long as they continue. Also, as you can see in the pics, we all wear masks 😷 in accordance with Mexico City requirements so people are protecting themselves and others. Kentaro is a great teacher, patient, upbeat and he’s a great dancer. 💃🏻🕺🏻💃🏻🕺🏻
Response: Hi Becca, thank you so much for the positive feedback. and great comment. I will do my best to keep this group active and continue!!

Álvaro N: Kentaro has built a community where you can relax, connect with cool people and make friends while learning salsa and bachata. He teaches from a very basic level to intermediate and advanced. If you are new in Mexico City and want to learn how to dance while making new friends ISM Salsa Bachata is a must!

Jonathan Ng: My partner and I took a 5 day salsa challenge with Kentaro and were able to go from 0 to competency in majority of basic salsa moves! Kentaro even invited us to a salsa party where we tried our moves with more seasoned dancers. Kentaro was always on time and patient with us, with extremely reasonable rates. His sense of humour and lightheartedness made classes with him extremely enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone looking to try out salsa!
Response: Thank you so much for your great review. I had so much fun dancing with you! I hope to see you soon!

Carson Leung: What an absolutely incredible community Kentaro and his team has built. When you come here you don't just learn salsa, but you also connect with a ton of other human beings, which is what I loved the most. The crowd is inclusive, friendly and diverse. They also have some spin-off day trips to the nature around CDMX so don't miss out!

Alyssa Young: The best experience I’ve had in Mexico City. Learning to dancing and meeting locals and foreigners who are having a great time. Kentaro and his team are the best salsa dancers in the city.

Tatiana Varfolomeeva: I absolutely loved the class! Kentaro is a great dancer and teacher. He explains everything very precisely. And the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly with lots of great people there. I'm so happy I finally have a place to dance. Thank you!
Response: Thank you very much! I am glad you come ISM!

Bailey: I go to Kentaro's classes occasionally and his classes are very fun and engaging. They are in both English and Spanish and you'll see a good mix of foreigners, locals, expat regulars and newcomers join in. You can tell the crowd that goes genuinely wants to learn and which adds to the input of great vibes. There are experienced people that take beginner classes here as well, because there's a free social right afterward at the park. It's also a great way to meet others as Kentaro is not only a teacher but a great networker. Im sure people made friends during the social/ organized after lesson activities. Arigato señorito.
Response: Bailey, you are the best!!! We have a lot of classes now . Hope to see you soon!

April Hong: Kentaro was super welcoming and made me feel super comfortable and welcomed. Amazing teachers amazing songs amazing people and amazing place. Would fly back to CDMX just to dance 💃🕺🏻💃🕺🏻

Salon Pata Negra: what do users think?

Christian Orozco: I went on a Tuesday night and expected it to be kinda dead. Boy was I wrong, the place was full of people, not as much as on the weekends but there was enough people to get you in the mood for dancing and such. The costs of the drinks is proportionate to the place and the area where it is located. The mojitos are the best! Upstairs they had a live rock band and downstairs they had a DJ mixing live and it was great! Everyone was dancing and they play music kind of like what they would play in a club in Hollywood or L.A. which is a nice change from the places in Mexico City. There are plenty of tourists so you can meet people from all over the world. Did I mention the mojitos are great? XD

Ale O: Casual, very laid back, perfect to meet new people, prices are average, the service is good, you’ll find good music too! They have different kinds of artists

Phil Enock: good place. solid DJ 🎧 . i heard dancing is good 🕺 🕺. crowd is a bit older than expected, but everyone seems cool... i would definitely come back here / definitivamente volvería aquí!! 😀 (hung out with Internations' Javier 🇲🇽 and my fav estadouidense 🇺🇸 in town)

Dave Todds: Be prepared to get attacked by their own drug dealers! I know this place for over 15 years, went over 100 times and never thought they would just attack random clients just for not willing to buy drugs or wearing a cell phone. Please be aware, that every peso spend there supports the same mafia facilitating the death of one human beeing every 15 minutes (please read statistics and do the math) I was lucky and managed to flew with just some minor scrapes , destroyed cloth, the broken cell phone I attached an image and a thread not even to try to call police. And since I never knew a friend who went and did not get offered drugs on toilet, you might get an idea why. There is no doubt that this attack would not have been possible without the help and knowledge of the whole crew and I am also pretty sure, that I am not the first one suffering this. Please help and share, post on their facebook and ask, if their drug dealers still beat up random clients. Explain people that there are other choices to have fun and tell them not to cry if they loose loved ones, when their is a choice whom to power with your money spend! Que viva México!

Adelino De Santi Júnior: I had a really bad experience at this place. We arrived at the spot and it was empty, there were 16 of us. Friends from different countries. We started having fun, the music was quite nice but the bar staff was really dishonest! They just avoided giving back our change. So, you give them a 500 bill for a 100 pesos drink, and they will just pick up the money, give you the drink and avoid yourself as they owe you nothing! This happened with EVERYONE that night! They really took advantage over us and the fact that no one spoke Spanish at the time. Besides that, the bar staff is always harassing women!!! Avoid this place!

Mark Loh: We went down on 8/9/21 (wednesday) and although google said it was open until 10pm, it was completely shut down. I guess covid has had a severe impact. But at least update your hours on google, so people aren't coming down for nothing.

Homer: I managed to find this spot from a Resident Advisor show and it did not disappoint. It looks like the hot spot where younger crowds come out to enjoy great house music. I had a great experience here, even though I came alone. The drinks were cheap and well done. Would love to stop by this place next time I visit La Condesa.

Napoleon Rojas: Place is very crowded, entrance is fast but the only way you're getting a good service is via bottle service. Music switches constantly and it doesn't seem to have a good mixing pattern. It is more like an house party than a club.

Joseph Yakopec: DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I went here with 2 friends for our last night in the city only to find out one of my friends was jumped in the bathroom by 5 guys. Now from what I understand it is Mafia owned and operated. The place like nice but it is very sketchy!

Andrea Murray: I went on a Sunday night, since my local friend suggested it, saying "it's always crowded." When we got there around 9:30 pm, the DJ was playing a mix of funk, disco, and nu disco. It was amazing!

Mayra Meneses: This place was a classic back in the 50's when burlesque and ficheras had their golden years in Mexico City. Nowadays it maintains it's tropical underground flavor. Ladies in tight dresses and high heels are ready to dance with you for 20 pesos, live music like salsa, cumbia, chachachá all night. Take your time when going to the upstairs bathroom and take a look to the kitch decoration. Good service, only drinks. No food serve inside, but try the street tacos that are really good.

karnell schultz: Had a wonderful time here. Saw a man get punched in the face at the bar, after he got up he just sat back down and kept hanging. If you do not speak Spanish well or are a foreigner, do not let them hustle you on the tab, They'll certainly try.

Joss Guillermo: 10/10

Bill McCafferty: Cool place but the waiters are thieves and will rip you off

El Tigre Toño t.t.: No mame nir tu mama??

roger roiz: Ok

Erick Rodríguez: Cool

Anette Salinas: Horrible

Joaquín Munguía: The better place to

Pablo Dávila: A decent bar to go dancing. The prices are not exaggerated. The atmosphere is good. The only issue is the area: it may not be the best idea to go alone or as a couple. Let's say that it is better to go "in the ball". There are those who think that the place is complicated, especially at closing time.

Carmen Lemus: I like the place, it has good environment and party music but it is a bit overpriced and service is terrible. They always ask you for 20% surcharge on top of the bill even when tip is already included. I never pay the extra 20%, which I consider unfair, and they stop me on the way out and don't let me out for a while. I always swear i won't go back but eventually music calls me when I pass by.

Víctor Suárez: Nice music, super crowded, dance floor and many drinks, it gets a little difficult to walk in after midnightToilets are shared, so if you have some shame is going to be uncomfortable.Cover include a beer. Vip places request you to buy a bottle, no beer only allowed

Jeferson G. Pires: This place has an incredible view of the “Alameda Central” and the “Bellas Artes Palacio”. It’s also a great option for dancing salsa, if you are into it, drinking a beer, hanging out with friends, and watch sports. Prices are ok and service is nice as well.

Ravi: Decent place in CDMX, zocalo for beers and hanging out with friends..This is infront of the Bellas Artes... Currently they are running salsa and bachata dance classes during evening in the week days...

Ulrich Schmidt: Essen war okay. Abiente super

Jackie Lu: A good place to having fun

Mónica “Mon” Valc: Unfortunately the services was wrong, and probably never come back again. :(

Cinthia Silva: Good music for a party night. Not good drinking

DIEGO PARRA: Pretty good.
