Lukshmi Shanthakumar: Good fun- great band and lots of people to dance with

rodney munoz: Great spot

ruben jesus ramos: This place has a peculiarity regarding the hours and the influx of visitors to the "club". At 10 p.m. the place opens and people are lined up to enter which fills up in 5 minutes, the music of the DJ is already playing, and the dance floor receives expert dancers and not so much. A couple of hours before there are some classes, so at the opening time of the track there are at least 40 people already in the place. This place is excellent for dancing and a very good atmosphere. Although the place is not big, the space is used well since there are no tables or chairs! The whole space is a dance floor. Also plays a live band Drinks, beer and the classic soft drinks. Moderate prices. It is located one street away from La Reforma, on the corner of Río Nilo and Río Lerma.

Victoria Abril Maza González: A great place to dance and learn some salsa online

Oskar Lo: The place is not as big as it looks on the face, it has good music, good staves, there is level, if it had music with more brass it would be phenomenal but the stage is small.

Jorge Sánchez Rivero: The best thing about this place is the live orchestra. The DJ is not far behind, but the live orchestra has its 5 stars earned. I do not give it 5 because I would love it to be more spacious and with a greater possibility of sitting down. However, that is not an impediment, and it is justified because it shares the premises with another super large restaurant, but, furthermore, if you go to this place it is not to stay seated, but to leave in a wheelchair from what tired of dancing! I personally quite enjoyed it and would go back many more times.

Gynna Ariza: If you want to dance salsa and listen to very good groups like the best atmosphere, this is the place. It is also zero pretentious, it is not expensive and people of all kinds go to dance and practice what they learned in class

Jaswinder Taank: Went here on a Friday night with some friends after a salsa class together. This was basically a club playing salsa music, so I liked that I could practice my new moves even further. Bartenders were fast. I liked their mezcal shot. Note that there is a cash cover of 120 pesos for everyone.

Simon B: What an absolute blast! $60 per person admission. Saturdays are packed and fun. Sundays are more mellow. 💃 Plus best live music in town. Saturdays are about packed to capacity, band starts at about 11pm. Tons of fun and hardly enough space to dance - but super fun. Sundays starts a lot earlier, 6pm. Dance students try out their skills in the earlier part of the set but plenty of room to move throughout the evening.

Harry Richardson: Great vibe here. Amazing dancing. Most tables reserved when we went. Band started around 11pm (Thursday)

꧁sʇuʌɹϽ ᴉuoꓕ꧂: MamáRumba Is a great place to go salsa dancing. This place particularly has Cuban salsa which is different to other Salsa styles like Puerto Rican or NY. There is actual no dancefloor. People dance in the aisles or between tables. There is dancing Thrusday through Saturday. Saturday dance on March 2018 was $120 pesos. There is a live band but it starts playing late. Around 2300 or later. It may be too loud for some people. Usually there is a group dance performance. I have seen impersonation performances as well. I often see Asian and American people going to this place. This place is usually crowded and if you want a table better make a reservation. I recommend MamaRumba.

Kirubel Mersha: Me and my gf went here on a Saturday night. Not too much of a wait at the door. They have free re entry if you need to smoke or make a call. It does get packed so you will be waiting at the bar for a drink. The live band is great and makes the music pop. It gets crowded but there are pockets of space you can move to if you want more space to dance. Great salsa spot with good music and a fun vibe. Recommend this place for sure.

Lilian: If you are in Mexico for a short visit this is a good place, it’s full of both locals and tourists/ expats. You pay cover at the door and the later you get there the longer the line, its NOT a cocktail place better stick to basics or a mojito. what is cool is if you are new to salsa and want to learn you will probably get a chance to do so and bonus points for the live band that starts around midnight.

Bertha Cerda: We went yesterday and had a great time everyone was very servicial good service the music good place to have fun and safe we love it

Juan Pablo Duque Angel: Good place with a live band, the staff at the entrance is not really friendly and as in many places in Mexico, if they let you in is like they are doing you a favor. Once you are in, the music is fun. Mainly salsa and cumbia.

Anna L: Really fun classes, great instructors, learned a lot! Since I am in Mexico City just for a little bit, I am paying per class which is currently 150 pesos/session. There are instructors for different levels at all classes, so definitely feel free to join. The classes were small and I received a lot of individual attention, which was very nice. Would highly recommend!

Alexa Dannemiller: Victor was our instructor, we took a private lesson just tonight and will sleep well tonight!! He went above and beyond to teach us and push us with new salsa moves. A kind teacher, and I hope to come back to learn from him again.

miguel arellano camacho: An excellent site. The Cuban salsa and bachata teachers are amazing. Widely recommended for everyone from those looking to learn to dance to the most experienced.

Victor Arias: Excellent place to learn to dance. The best teacher Víctor My respects and admiration. Price and Quality

D. Mauricio Dominguez Martinez: Excellent place to learn to dance and have fun, very good vibes !!!!

Shabina Begum: I am super grateful to the dancing instructors for making me feel so welcome at the studio. The dancing made me feel more connected to this country and the classes enabled me to make some amazing friends and create a special community during my stay in Mexico 🇲🇽 I was also super grateful to the instructors for trying to accommodate the fact that I didn’t speak much Spanish. Towards the end however I found myself picking up Spanish phrases thanks to these dance classes, so in effect I learnt not only salsa and bachata but also some Espanol! Gracias ☺️

עומר ש: Dancing is a lot of fun I like to explore different styles and the private lessons was very good for that! I had a lot of fun dancing and the guide was very professional Highly Recommend

Gen Lee: Arelli has been nothing but amazing in teaching salsa cubana and I am glad that I had taken classes with her!! She is very meticulous and technical and I will definitely continue learning from her whenever possible!!

Alicia Desantis: First review I’ve ever posted in google, but wow I just have to: I was traveling from NYC and a beginner who thought to try out some classes — it turned out to be 8 weeks dancing with Marco and it’s hard to express how wonderful it’s been. I have improved wildly but really it’s the place and the people — excellent, warm and welcoming. I could not recommend it more highly. As someone else said here — if I could give more stars I would.

Preethi Nallu: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI am completely new to Salsa and signed up for 8 private classes and really enjoying them. I am at my sixth class and can see huge progress since the first one. I would definitely recommend Marco as an instructor. He makes the lessons fun and light, but also pushes students where needed!

Chenyu Zheng: Wonderful salsa studio with great and attentive teachers! I learned a lot :) it’s also in a great area and you can find good food afterwards.

Julio L M: Positive: Professionalism, QualityThe best place to learn salsa in Mexico City by far. Classes are incredibly funny and after 3 months I was dancing without even notice. 100% Recommended

Alberto Ochoa: The best place ever to dance Cuban music . Music is always live, prices are a little high and also the food but it is really tasty. It is a familiar environment where young and old people go to have fun and dance until it closes.

Carlos S. Pérez: Nice salsa bar with a cozy dancefloor

Javier Cervantes: Great! Just very little space for dancing. But the crowd is beautiful.

Sergio Zaleta: Very nice place! I really enjoyed breakfast here. Cheaper and excellent service!

Luis Olayo: Ok

Justin MacDonald: Great spot for salsa dancing. Live music was great!

Nik Frid: Awesome place, love the music

Zalmen Behar: Tasty food at reasonable price.

Gil Cruz: Best SALSA PLACE!!!

Cleo Jasmine: This place has very high energy and great vibes. The lines to get a drink can take a while but at least we were entertained by the reggae music blasting. If you like having a dance under coloured lights with a drink in hand to some reggae music, this is the place for you.

Gabriel Ferreira: Great music and nice place to hang out. Only take cash, no credit cards. Beers are medium, would expect more. Pulque is very good

Doc Holliday: This place is the best. It has chill fun reggae and really kind people. Good vibes only. I even lost my glasses and security helped me find them.

Adan Juarez Jr: I had a great time, DJ’s do an amazing job the music sounds extremely clear and planned out, drinks are fairly priced crowd is friendly everyone is just there to vibe to good music

Mariela Jimenez: Amazing place to dance and listen to reggae music!

Junueth V: NICE VIBES. NICE PLACE. NICE PEOPLE. BEST PLACE OF REGGAE IN MEXICO

ISM Salsa Bachata: what do users think?

Tam Pham: ISM is the BEST place for travelers to learn how to dance and meet international friends. The makeup is half expats and half locals which is perfect for those who want to have that variety. They have an active dance schedule throughout the week along with frequent socials. The class sizes tend to run large so expect to learn lots of moves but for specific technicalities, I recommend to book a private with one of their local teachers. I’ve met some of my closest friends through ISM and I am forever grateful to Kentaro, the team, and the people who make up this amazing community. 🙏😊

Becky Olivares: I moved to CDMX recently and am a long-time salsa dancer. I was missing dancing soooo much given the pandemic. I was so happy to find Kentaro’s group and his salsa classes. Although the classes are geared toward beginners, he does throw in challenging choreography…the classes are always well-attended and people who attend are keen on learning which makes it enjoyable (even for a more experienced dancer). Everyone is quite friendly. I’ve attended at least 4 sessions so far and will keep doing so as long as they continue. Also, as you can see in the pics, we all wear masks 😷 in accordance with Mexico City requirements so people are protecting themselves and others. Kentaro is a great teacher, patient, upbeat and he’s a great dancer. 💃🏻🕺🏻💃🏻🕺🏻

Álvaro N: Kentaro has built a community where you can relax, connect with cool people and make friends while learning salsa and bachata. He teaches from a very basic level to intermediate and advanced. If you are new in Mexico City and want to learn how to dance while making new friends ISM Salsa Bachata is a must!

Jonathan Ng: My partner and I took a 5 day salsa challenge with Kentaro and were able to go from 0 to competency in majority of basic salsa moves! Kentaro even invited us to a salsa party where we tried our moves with more seasoned dancers. Kentaro was always on time and patient with us, with extremely reasonable rates. His sense of humour and lightheartedness made classes with him extremely enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone looking to try out salsa!

Alyssa Young: The best experience I’ve had in Mexico City. Learning to dancing and meeting locals and foreigners who are having a great time. Kentaro and his team are the best salsa dancers in the city.

April Hong: Kentaro was super welcoming and made me feel super comfortable and welcomed. Amazing teachers amazing songs amazing people and amazing place. Would fly back to CDMX just to dance 💃🕺🏻💃🕺🏻

Salon Pata Negra: what do users think?

Christian Orozco: I went on a Tuesday night and expected it to be kinda dead. Boy was I wrong, the place was full of people, not as much as on the weekends but there was enough people to get you in the mood for dancing and such. The costs of the drinks is proportionate to the place and the area where it is located. The mojitos are the best! Upstairs they had a live rock band and downstairs they had a DJ mixing live and it was great! Everyone was dancing and they play music kind of like what they would play in a club in Hollywood or L.A. which is a nice change from the places in Mexico City. There are plenty of tourists so you can meet people from all over the world. Did I mention the mojitos are great? XD

Ale O: Casual, very laid back, perfect to meet new people, prices are average, the service is good, you’ll find good music too! They have different kinds of artists

Homer: I managed to find this spot from a Resident Advisor show and it did not disappoint. It looks like the hot spot where younger crowds come out to enjoy great house music. I had a great experience here, even though I came alone. The drinks were cheap and well done. Would love to stop by this place next time I visit La Condesa.

Jeferson G. Pires: This place has an incredible view of the “Alameda Central” and the “Bellas Artes Palacio”. It’s also a great option for dancing salsa, if you are into it, drinking a beer, hanging out with friends, and watch sports. Prices are ok and service is nice as well.

Ravi: Decent place in CDMX, zocalo for beers and hanging out with friends..This is infront of the Bellas Artes... Currently they are running salsa and bachata dance classes during evening in the week days...

Cinthia Silva: Good music for a party night. Not good drinking
