El Cardenal: what do users think?

Simon Howe: Terrific breakfast, brunch, and lunches were had here by my wife and I. The service is excellent! The hot chocolate is an absolute must - though I recommend sharing it between two adults as it is quite rich and very strong. The breakfast menu is delightful with terrific flavour. Not too spicy - just right. My eggs and beans kept me full and ready to go from 9am right until we had dinner at 7. They have English menus available and many of the wait staff understand some English.

April Yang: This is a very lively place and the service is great. Pro tip: Come here early to avoid the crowd. They have English menu. We ordered the zucchini flower and mushroom omelette plus carnitas tortilla with a side a bacon, and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is a must try!

Antoine Avdb: We had the seasonal menu. The starter and dessert are common and do not deserve any comment here. However the Chile de Nogada was incredible. This plate is worth the trip to the restaurant, it was sublime (and in large quantity, with hindsight we might have only took this plate rather than the menu)

glorcyinia: Staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Place was clean, food was good. The whole dining experience was remarkable given the money spent is not that much. Well recommended!

Nejc Korasa: The place was half empty when we arrived at ~5pm on Wednesday so we didn’t have to wait to be seated. The food was delicious, we tried 2 starters and opted for 2 different kinds of Chicken Mole for the main dish. Mole was great and very filling, remember that if it’s your first time trying it :). One thing I disliked is that the service felt very rushed, and with the restaurant being half empty that felt unnecessary. The waiter waited for me to finish the starter and in 10 seconds replaced my empty plate with the main dish. He took the glass of beer before it was empty etc… The place offers a good value for money as well. See the picture of the bill for reference. Overall I would recommend it for a good dining experience of Mexican food.

Elías Ortíz: Excellent place, nice atmosphere. The staff very friendly and attentive. The delicious food. The salmon dish with mango extraordinary flavor and presentation. Crispy and attractive bolillos. I recommend visiting this place.

Angel Lo: Great experience at this "El Cardenal" Mexico City downtown. It is just a block from La Catedral in this beautiful Mexico City. The service is just what expected. People are polite and they are willing to assist all customers. Special recognition to Mr. Álvaro for his great customer focused service. Quality if meals is to point out. This is high quality mexican cuisine so it is worth it to visit and have a tasty meal (breakfast, lunch or supper) This particular site is very convenient if you are downtown area.

MAD-TJ Travels: Pastry Chef Lucero’s skills are amazing. She is leading a strong team who delivered amazing food. Every pastry is excellent 👍🏾 If you are friends with the chef like me 😁, you can get White chocolate croissant with lemon zest & orange , glazed with honey, worlds best ! Breakfast is wonderful & on the house, Mexican omelette is delicious. Their hospitality is top class 👏🏾 A strong & capable women force 👏🏾👍🏾 Loved the ambiance !

Kurt and Sheila Team: You must do the tasting menu with the wine pairing! This dining experience coupled with the amazing weather and friendly people is enough to bring us back to Mexico City. It was amazing. Fantastic service from Ivan, Arturo and Guadalupe. We came for the amazing views but will return for the amazing experience and fine dining. Thank you for the great memories.

Hannah Perlmutter: Came here for our anniversary dinner and absolutely loved it. We didn’t make a reservation so we sat inside (not on balcony) and it was still amazing. Loved the cocktails and the food. Especially the dessert. Would recommend for a special occasion or just a fancy day!

JUSTINA: We went here 3 weeks ago and its such a beautiful romantic place and the scenery is very nice. Food was good and drinks were good. The only issue was you had to have reservations for the balcony and there were none available for our stay.

bianca huzum: What an amazing experience! We had breakfast here for 7 days (we stayed at the Zocalo hotel) and had dinner here once as well. The service is incredible! Friendly, attentive and fast staff. The food was delicious and the view was breathtaking. I consider myself lucky for seeing the sunrise over the cathedral for 7 days in a row while enjoying a cup of coffee.

EverythingPlayaDelCarmen Website: We give this place a 4.3. It is a well designed restaurant with a great view. It is also the same place for breakfast for hotel guests, so usually means not a truly a good restaurant focus on food. Coffee is very good here. Baked goods were dry and not very tasty. Food was good but not special. The view makes it worthwhile but there is a good chance you won’t have a seat with an unobstructed view or not much of a view at all.

Janice Mendez: This is an excellent restaurant with the best views in the city. The food is excellent. We had dinner last evening and came back for lunch. It’s clean, airy and the service is remarkable. Would highly recommend.

Agathe Guerrier: Excellent food and wonderful views over the Zocalo. Creative Mexican cuisine with many vegetarian and even vegan options. I give 4 stars because the DJ tested the sound system for a good hour during lunch and that was extremely disruptive.

Pujol: what do users think?

Nha Ha: A great experience and excellent setting. There wasn’t a wine pairing when I went but they did offer what they thought would be a great drink to pair. I would opt to finish dessert in the patio if the weather is nice and it isn’t too busy. Food wasn’t mind blowing but it was tastefully done and had great flavor to it.

T Le: Came here with my husband because of the show Chef’s Table. It was a unique dining experience that you want to have once if you are visiting Mexico City! You can tell there was a lot of time and thought that was put into each dish which we appreciate. A+ for creativity! The service was flawless. Some reviews may say this place is overrated but if you like to indulge in fine dining, definitely give this place a try!! We booked our reservation 3 months ahead so make sure you pre-book before your trip!

Ceraun Loggins: This was worthy of the months wait and the price tag. Such a beautiful intimate dining experience. The flavors in the mouth was divine and you can tell how much thought and effort went into making this meal. The wine pairing is def what I would get because they were so divine and really highlighted the dishes. Standouts are the lobster Brussels sprout taco and the crab soup with crab empanada

Sunny Hirpara: This is my second Pujol experience and it simply always seems to impress. The ambiance to the service to the wine selection to the incredible food. We were blown away. I will admit I wasn’t a fan of the main fish dish but I always seem to not like 1 dish out of a tasting menu. Beyond that, everything was perfect. The chef even allowed us to come back into the kitchen and had the whole kitchen staff take a picture with us! So incredibly nice of them!

Kira Sea: Had a lovely dinner here. I got little tripped up by worlds 5th best restaurant since there is a higher expectation and food is subjective but overall, it was good. Loved the ant and the corn. Also really enjoyed the tortillas that had leaf since I didn’t get to try that anywhere else.

Stephania R: Beautiful restaurant in the four seasons. The garden part of the restaurant is very nice there is also indoor seating. The food is great and so is the service. This is one of my favourite places to come for breakfast while in CDMX either for meetings or for breakfast with friends. You definitely won’t be disappointed!

Greg S: I was just a guest for breakfast and not staying at the hotel. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and my service was good. I chose to order off the menu and left happy. Four Seasons standard did not disappoint.

A: Beautiful terrace overlooking the courtyard of The Four Seasons. They sell champagne (Louis Roederer) by the glass which makes a huge difference to me as I only drink champagne. The aguachile (gluten-free) was lovely. Definitely one of my favourite spots in Mexico City.

david: You must try the antojitos mexicanos platter ! Also the unlimited Veuve Cliquot Mimosas !

Maya K: Beautiful ambiance and high quality food. You can get Mexican, Western and Asian food!Price is around USD50-60. I got the menu which included free flow of sparkling wine.

Jose Carlos Alarcon Lopez: Best Sunday Brunch in Mexico City - unbeatable dessert selection. A very fancy brunch option with price tag to match but well worth the experience. Food selection is impressive: great seafood and steaks , very decent Italian food and outstanding tacos al pastor! But the real star of the brunch is the dessert selection. Every possible flavor and dessert is covered here so come with empty stomach and indulge in a world class brunch with a Mexican twist.

Gabriel Ramirez: A super experience!! We started with the delicious Tortilla soups and a Venison dish. Both were delicious. Ended up having some mole and cochinita tacos. All of them had amazing flavours. The service was amazing, one of the best restaurants I have eaten in Mexico City!!!

Adriana Sarcina: Good place and nice environment. Service is what deserves the best recognition here, the waiter was so nice and helpful. The Chile en nogada was delicious, but the sweet sauce is better. The waters are fresh and taste great.

Gulia A: Delicious food but the service is something we were simply amazed by! Everything came quickly, servers were super attentive. We loved it!

Lisa: A requisite for anyone coming to CDMX. Worth coming here for the setting alone; a beautiful historic building that carries a sense of wonder and magic. I only had dessert here. Beautiful presentation and just as delicious.

Ramon Torres: Beautiful place with great tasting food. We had the bean tamal, pork tacos and tortilla soup to start. We followed with pollo en mole and pork belly on green sauce, everything was delicious. The staff was always there for anything we needed. They were awesome.

Yi-Chieh Chen: Classic Mexican restaurant in the historic center district. Highly recommend visiting for dinner to get the full ambiance of this place. Reservation may be needed (it was packed on a weekday evening when I went). I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, as I thought it would be a tourist trap. Granted it is on the touristy side, but the overall food quality, experience and presentation are solid, and I can see myself bringing friends who are visiting Mexico City for the first time to this place. I enjoyed the starters (guacamole con chicharrón and panuchos de cochinita pibil) more than the mains we ordered. The complimentary sauces were delicious as well. Service was fairly swift considering it was a full house.

Kikimuncherr: We were so excited for this restaurant. We had the pastor little truck, the grilled octopus & churros! The drinks we got were also delicious. Everything was delicious! The creativity in presentation is the cherry on top. I saw a lot of big parties so definitely recommend making a reservation!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Elizabeth Winslow: Amazing experience!!! Totally worth it! Exceptional service! Made margaritas for us at our table! The mule cocktail had a flaming lime! Our food came out super quick! We went around 6pm. All the food was VERY flavorful and amazing! Ambience and lighting was perfect- not too dark 😊 but relaxed feelFood: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Solomon Romano: Trendy modern Mexican restaurant. Overall food was delicious and with a good presentation. Ordered the esquites, which were pretty tasty and followed it up with the mixed ceviche -- refreshing, with a mix of shrimp, octopus, scallops, pineapple, orange, cucumber, and onion in a mango and chili pepper sauce. The check comes with a brown sugar cookie in the shape of a pig. Nice way to end a delicious meal. The ambiance is festive, with latest pop hits playing on a big screen.

Tyler Dixon: Very nice. We went with a large group and the staff handled us well. Very responsive and professional. Presentation is important in this restaurant. The dishes looked and tasted great. Our party of 12 had no complaints. I tried the Chile en nogada- a seasonal dish. Muy Rico! The guacamole was good. I enjoyed the tuetanos de reys and escamoles. We finished with churros and carajillo.

Enrique Velasco: Pricey but guarantee of quality and taste, especially if you are into steak. The location offers a relaxed ambiance with bar vibe to inspire people to enjoy some drinks. I highly recommend filete al mezcal, it is a whole experience from preparation to taste. For more experiences like this follow @quiquinnv

Zachary Schultz: Most fun dinner we had our entire trip! We had a 10 PM reservation via OpenTable and it was the perfect spot for a group of 10. Music videos and club music made it a fun place to dance in our seats while dining. Food was awesome, the queso fundido and spicy salsas were highlights for me. I would recommend the verde enchiladas. The bartender makes your drinks right next to your table - the mezcal / cucumber cocktail was great!

Limosneros: what do users think?

Carl: Incredible food with incredible service! They were all so kind in accommodating us, and making sure that we knew exactly what we were eating! We did the seasonal fixed menu and it was really quite special. The pickled mussels were a standout - they had a good bite to them and were just a touch tart on top of being perfectly salted. Everything from the food, to plating was seriously thoughtful - definitely come by when you have the chance!

CVillalobosJr: What can I say about this place except that it worth every penny. Not only was the food and drinks absolutely delicious, but the service was just as amazing. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, and the server went out of his way to take pictures of us and even gave us a shot of mezcal on the house. Definitely make a reservation as you won’t regret it!

Garden OfEden 7777: This restaurant is a little expensive but totally worth it in my opinion. The food is flavourful and there’s a lot of option - you can also opt to try samples of a variety of dishes. The service, atmosphere and decor is great as well.

Sucheta Nadig: We had the steak and quail because we wanted to try their mole - both were amazing but I think we enjoyed the white mole more. Dessert was a little disappointing, we had the sweet tamale which was a bit dry and just too much chocolate with no relief. The hot chocolate was nice but a little too sweet for our taste. Their Fanatica hot sauce is wonderful - definitely worth trying!

Elena Buenrostro: The tacos were great, but everything else okay. When we entered, we asked to sit in a booth. The waitress told us it was reserved, but the restaurant was nearly empty. Even when we were done with our meal 1.5 hours later, the booth we asked to sit in was still empty.

Wanderers Compass Travel Blog: This was an exceptional dining experience in the heart of the Historic District of Mexico City. This is Haute Cuisine at its best with a culinary twist in both presentation and the flavors of traditional Mexican cuisine. The ambiance of this charming and intimate restaurant is what first draws you in. The stunning award winning decor from the boutique shop at the entry, to the dining room to even the bathrooms take your breath away. Even the serving dishes and glasses at unique and of exceptional quality. The attention to detail is remarkable. Take the time to examine your surroundings. Service from the welcome and throughout the whole meal is top class. It beats out many Michelin Stars we have been too. We adored our Wine Stewart who knew his wines and was blast to chat with. What can we say about the food other that they serve gastronomic excellence Limosneros offers ingredients and traditional techniques of Mexico with a contemporary touch. A joy to all our senses. Limosneros collects ingredients from their rich homeland to tantalize your palate. Our meal was delivered at a leisurely pace so we could savor each and every dish. That evening we chose their tasting menu with wine pairing. Nine course plus (we had two complimentary ones) with a different wine with each course that blew us away. The freshness and quality of the food could not have been better. They also make custom salsa table-side. We like things spicy and ordered a medium strength to be safe. It was way too spicy. This was a special treat and we could not be happier with our evening. Highly recommend! Reservations are a must.

Quintonil: what do users think?

Chelsie GawneMark: One of the best restaurant experiences of my life. The chef and staff were exceptional, knowledgeable, and warm. The food journey was a beautifully composed narrative that was inventive and playful while referencing a variety of local food regions. One of the best wine/beer pairings I’ve enjoyed. I will be back—thank you! Also WONDERFUL about my food allergy!

Jainif Marediya: This place was really good and my favorite in Mexico City. I liked this much better than Pujol. The flavors were really good here and the service was great too. It was cool to sit at the bar but I wish the step on the bar wasn’t there so that I could actually see the kitchen at work but that was my only complaint on the scenery. On the food, I do wish there was one more dessert course but aside from that this place is a must try

Keith Michael Godfrey: Easy to understand why this is one of the top 50 restaurants in Latin America. From the minute you walk through the door you realize you are in for an experience. The dishes were exquisite and unique to Quintonil and their chef. This is definitely a "bucket list" restaurant for foodies. Make that reservation and enjoy!

Diana H. Wayne: My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and had the kitchen set menu and It was amazing! I’ve been to other top rated restaurants and this was up there. The presentation and uniqueness of the dishes made the experience magical. I Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Lisa: I came here for my birthday, ordered the tasting menu, and had an amazing experience. First off they modified the menu to suit my needs (vegetarian) and they did a wonderful job of accommodating without any sense of compromise. The food was rich, vibrant, and inventive. I would recommend Quintonil to anyone!

M Smith: Amazing experience and delicious food! We came for the 10 course tasting and was not disappointed! Actually it was so good we came back the next day to try the rest of the menu à la carte. We came due to it being one of the top 50 best restaurants in the world (along with another restaurant near by) and we definitely like the food here better after trying both places!

Monica Osorio: Simply amazing. Had the tasting menu and it truly felt like an intro to Mexican cuisine. The kitchen was synchronized and it was completely exciting to see a woman leading the kitchen! ⭐️ service is great and the venue is intimate and cozy

Sunny Hirpara: What a stunning experience. We went for an à la cart lunch since we were going to Pujol for dinner and this place totally impressed us. From the quality of the ingredients to the service. Everything was absolutely impeccable. I hope to come back for the tasting menu one day. Totally deserves to be part of the top 50 restaurants in the world.

Rosa Negra | restaurante latino en cdmx: what do users think?

Faiz Khan: I went here for dinner with my daughter on a Monday night. This place is absolutely amazing. From decor to ambiance to the friendly staff. And I have not even gotten to the food part yet. The food was amazingly prepared. Everything felt fresh and cooked to perfection. We had two people serving us the meal and at every step they explained what was what and how it was all prepared. All in all a great experience for us. Everything was top notch and done with perfection in mind. If you are in Mexico city and want to be pampered and treated and served like royalty this is one of the few top places to go. Although it can get a little lively for business meetings however you cannot go wrong if you want to have a formal family celebration here. You just tell them in advance and they will make it a memorable visit. Make sure you have your cameras ready for the surprises.

Eiko Jian: Very delicious food. Loved the ceviches. Super fresh ingredients and tastes very refreshing and packed full of flavors. The service here was top-notch, very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend trying out this restaurant. The ambience and interior is also great.

Andrew Dabydeen: Heard a few mixed opinions about Rosa Negra but was pleasantly surprised when I came here. Yes the prices are a bit high but the food is well worth it - especially in combination with the vibe and the wonderful waitstaff. Had a great night here and everything was tasty - the salmon, branzino, and octopus. The cocktails were just okay but the presentation was nice! Would come here for special occasions and a great experience.

A Stint Abroad: I came here with my boyfriend for lunch. The service, food, and attention to detail were outstanding. We ordered the beet, spicy octopus, and bread as an appetizer, and shrimp risotto as a main course. Our entire meal was quite tasty. I think we could have done without the risotto as we were already full, but it was tasty nonetheless.

Oscar Martinez: Was in CDMX for a weekend and was able to get a reservation on Sunday. We were a bit late yet they took care of us as soon as we arrived. Good drinks and wine. Service was great and welcoming. Will definitely be back.

Rupinder Hunjan: This place is always busy. There is always a queue for this restaurant from 7:30 in the morning so we thought we should try it to find out why the locals love this place so much. Food was certainly very traditional but tasted good. Maybe too much choice on the menu made it difficult to decide what to eat. Overall still worth a try.Food: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Christian Murillo: Absolutely the best staff ever! They are so friendly and helpful! The food was amazing! I had Breakfast and Dinner here. Would highly recommend.

Diego Ambriz: Great place, quick and attentive servers. Food was on point, and if you need more tortillas they are quick to bring them and they will be hot and ready to go. Personally I would recommend the "Carnitas estilo Michoacán" with some green sauce and "Arrachera" meat with red sauce. Hoy chocolate was good too. Be careful because depending on the day the place might be full. But it is worth the wait!

Kevin Dern: After hoping to have some street tacos I ended up here. I had a vegetarian quesadilla with zucchini blossoms and guacamole, chicken mole poblano, and crepes with caramel sauce. Great service. New forks with each course. Wish I had stayed at the Hilton and I could have had all my meals here lol.

Bilal A: Authentic Mexica food. Staff extremely welcoming and gave excellent recommendations. Theplace is really busy and many families hang out there. Recommended.

Ehsan Yazdan Panah: For sure they deserve five stars. Food can not be tastier and service can not be better

Hector Hernandez: One of my favorite restaurants to visit while in Mexico city, finally had my Chile en nogada

Guillaume cds: Outstanding service from Raul and Eric who helped me book the best table at the best time to have the best experience.I highly recommend to reserve at 12pm for two people and envoy the delicious Mexican cuisine with the view on the iconic ruins of Tenochtitlán

Ivan Dumančić: Friendly service and seating area outside. Very loud at time from the music of the street entertainers (not even pleasant) that is too much noise. We only had a small snack with drinks.

Agathe Guerrier: Great service and food in a wonderful ancient building which was clearly shaken but not destroyed by earthquakes. Many vegetarian and some vegan options. Great service!

Jonathan Christodoulides: One of my favourite meals in Mexico! Only downside is that the staff offer no help when it comes to suggestions for ordering.

Yang Y: Beautiful building, excellent service, and delicious dishes. The view from the terrace is fantastic! Highly recommended!

Morton's: what do users think?

Mauri Ochoa: What an AMAZING service. We booked our table through Opentable and got a confirmation call asking for our terrace vs. salon preference. We had the mozzarella and prosciutto entree, which was delicious and served with an arugula salad. We also had the filet mignon which was my favorite part of the meal; the short rib tacos, Caesar salad, and the porterhouse. They have a wonderful wine offering (but quite expensive if you compare it with other same-quality restaurants), and ended up ordering Napa Valley’s 689 —can’t go wrong with that bottle. We also got the key lime pie for dessert and the manager offered complementary Prosecco. The place is expensive but you get the quality service you are paying for.

devo33: Amazing service and excellent food. A pleasant experience worth having again. 10/10.

Laura Cerda: The service amazing, the food delicious. I love going to mortons everywhere I travel because they truly treat you so special.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Elsa Ruiz: Love this place in the states and I was very happy to find out there is one here in Mexico and the only one in Latin America. I love their filet mignon and that is exactly what I had here. I prefers a side of asparagus and Mac and cheese which it was to die for but the side portions are definitely meant to be shared. I will definitely go back my file mignon was cooked just as I like it. I suggest that you sit inside though as at night it does get pretty cold and the food gets cold even faster. Overall service, food and area was very good. This is a high end steak house so be aware that you will minimum spend 1,000-1,500 per person. Definitely recommend for a special occasion.

Em: what do users think?

Marisa Silber: Absolutely loved this meal. The restaurant is clean and chic. The service is warm and friendly. The menu changes nightly but I cannot imagine a bad bite here. We loved absolutely everything. The drinks were delicious too. Such and elevated experience. Cannot more highly recommend!

George Poon: Amazing selections of 12+ courses highlighting some of the best ingredients from all over Mexico. You can tell the chef has a deep appreciation of not just fine dining but also food in general. Their corn especially blew me away. The staff contacted me before hand on whatsapp to see if I had any food allergies (luckily I have none) so they are definitely respectful of those concerns. Highly recommend if it fits within your budget.

Alexandre Lafleur: Outstanding. We had Christmas Eve dinner here and we were blown away. It was a set menu and we really got to experience the range and refinement of the chef. Standouts include the tuna sashimi, stone crab claws in a creamy peppercorn sauce, the striped bass and the mashed potatoes with chips and truffle. We had a couple glasses of champagne followed by really good house cocktails. The space is super minimal, warm and elegant. Their is a ton of staff making sure everything is going smoothly. We were really impressed. Only comment would be about the sound system : the volume kept going in an out, as if somebody’s phone was changing speakers constantly. It was a little distracting.

Elizabeth: We enjoyed the Omakase dinner menu immensely. The ambiance is dimly lit, with spotlights on the tables to highlight the food. Service was impeccable: friendly but not overbearing. The food ! was incredible! Beautiful flavors with a pleasing presentation for each. My partner and I were blown away, and we will certainly consider coming back next time we visit CDMX. 10/10 do recommend!

Tianxiang Wu: Very tasty unique Omakase menu. Both the quantity and quality is impressive. I like the avocado, beef and the "snow" dishes. And the chat in GoogleMaps is very helpful which accepted my delay due to the heavy traffic.
