Rokai Ramen-Ya: what do users think?

Kevin Shim: Came for the ramen, stayed for the sushi. This place is two places in one. Rokai Ramen-Ya is the ramen place and Rokai is the sushi place. You can order from both. I did not expect much from this restaurant. Initially, I thought it was on the pricier side for CDMX after looking at the menu. However, the sushi quality justifies the cost. I ordered saba mackeral, chutoro, and toro nigiris. Also, I had the spicy tuna maki and the kaisen maki. Everything was delicious. Rice was well-cooked and seasoned. Fish was fresh. Toro melted in mouth. Definitely worth checking out. I’m getting the omakase next time.

Marina Stefanovic: Really good quality and authentic Japanese food, prepared with fresh ingredients. The menu is also very extensive and includes various starters, ramen, sashimi, sushi, other main dishes and desert. The only remarks I have is that (1) the futomaki rolls were very loosely rolled and therefore very difficult to eat (almost falling apart) and (2) wasabi was not served, so I had to ask for it. But overall a great place and I plan to visit it again during my stay in Mexico City.

Cat Li: Delicious. Pricey for the portion but worth a try. Broth is so rich and from start to end the experience is authentic. The futomaki is pretty good too, try to reserve before you go. If the wait is too long go to MO+F right around the corner :)

Clementina Vera: Very fresh seafood! The sushi rolls were exquisite, very friendly staff and nice environment. Would love to come back!

Sun Lee: Can’t speak for the ramen but the rolls I’ve had here are the best I’ve ever had. The ingredients are amazingly fresh and beautifully presented. Can’t wait to return to CDMX to come back!

Felipe Colomo: Great Ramen. Away from traditional Japanese recipes, but with all the flavor and top quality ingredients. Also, the sushi is just out of the league! (As Edo Kobayashi can only deliver). A must stop if you want to delight yourself with Ramen.,

Alex Tatner: Amazing food. Great service. Must visit. We had too much food but no regrets. Ramen, vegetable tempura donburi, salmon maki & fried chicken, all incredible!

Aja Brandman: Loved the vibe of the ramen restaurant, so we ate here, but ordered all sushi (the sushi restaurant is right next door). Food was delicious, the shishito peppers were a great appetizer. All the fish tasted fresh and considering how much we ordered, price was reasonable.

V Ramen: what do users think?

Kate Jarocki: V Ramen is SO DELICIOUS. They have a huge menu with other dishes in addition to ramen, including Japanese curry, tonkatsu, taiyaki, onigiri, gyoza, etc., and it just goes on and on. They have A TON of vegetarian options, too (including vegetable broths for the ramen, and even portobello tonkatsu!), which was a wonderful find. The staff is amazing, so kind and they genuinely love working there. We will definitely be back often. Thank you!

Cesil J. “DarkAngelDB” Roman A.: The dishes are amazing, the taste of the curry is delicious and the okonomiyaki, one of the best!!! Vegetarian options: They do have a special vegetarian menu

bernard willis: Super solid, with some nice Japanese-Mex mashups on the menu, including with the creative ramen roofless options.

Natassa Gelinas: Very amazing menu, not the best ramen I ever tried in my life but very very good!! Their dishes are very amazing and the variety of catering to vegans all the way to meat eaters is amazing! I really appreciate the service and the place is cute! All in all I defo suggest it for any ramen lover! The fact that they have 1/2 portions of ramens is amazing!! 🙏 great job guys!!

Rachel Clara Reed: We ordered on Uber Eats and one appetizer was missing when it was delivered - they made sure to send what was missing quickly with an added dessert to make up for it - wonderful service and lovely food :)Service: 5/5 …More

Matt Ruscigno: The vegan tantanman ramen is rich, creamy, and delicious. A nice sized portion as well. And they have much more than ramen on their HUGE vegan menu! Had excellent sushi, inari, and other sides. All above average. Have also had exceptional service here. The prices are reasonable for most everything and the wine bottles are some of the cheapest I’ve seen in CDMX.

Mukyu ramen: what do users think?

Alex Delechambre: Excellent ramen place. I had the curry ramen w.hich was better than expected. The tofu salad was average. Service was quick and friendly. Overall a good place for a late lunch/early dinner

Wontaek º: I had the tonkotsu ramen with extra chashu. The ramen is pretty good. Its not amazing but it definitely grows on you as you continue eating. Be aware that the ramen is quite expensive (400+ pesos) even by NYC and SF standards. However, they were very generous with the extra chashu that I ordered on the side for 100 pesos. I think it was like 5 or 6 additional pieces.

Alex Juan: Very authentic Japanese ramen! Though not cheap but totally worth a try!!Recommended dishes Gyoza …More

Miguel Pablo: I feel like I have to update my review .. this place has seriously the best staff ever .. they are always attentive to your needs and will do their best to accommodate you. The food is extremely delicious the staff is extremely friendly and if I could give them more stars I would. Go get your ramen here you won’t be disappointed.

Ben Huff: Amazing ramen and edamame! Cool atmosphere too.

mayu: Nice place!!! loved it, the taste... EXCELLENT, very traditional, prices $$$... worth it(COVID precautions 👍🏻)

Yamasan Ramen House: what do users think?

Jack: I’d say good vegetarian ramen is not the easiest to find in CDMX, but Yamasan Ramen House’s Vegetarian Ramen is not too shabby! It’s quite flavorful and has a couple of ingredients like corn, tofu pocket, seaweed, bamboo shoots, fried garlic, cabbage, carrot, scallions, and white sesame seeds. The soup can get a tiny bit salty, but otherwise I really enjoyed the ramen. The portion size was nice and I’d say for the price of around 190 pesos, I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Len Aye: We knew the place was going to be good due to people queuing to get a table, around 3 pm in the afternoon. I ordered Boshu Kakuni ramen and my wife ordered Chinese Hot & Spicy ramen. The fried chicken wings was very fresh, crunchy Ellet soft and spicy. The huge lump of pork belly was so tender and sweet. My wife also love the flavour of the soup. The waitresses were attentive and quick. We’d happily go there again next time.

Shani Hashmonay: Great ramen and good serviceThey serve “Naruto ramen”

Ton Ton Ramen: what do users think?

Antonella Bandiera: I mean it could be better, but it is super good for the price. The dry noodles were very tasty, the ramen was ok (broth could have been more flavorful). Service is very good.

Bruno: Incredibly impressed with the TonTon ramen. Broth was fantastic & noodles were pretty good. Pork could’ve been better & less tough. Service was fine & the Hoji tea was refreshing… would eat here again!

Ale O: The veggie ramen is very nice, the service is fantastic all with reasonable prices 🍜🍜🍜

RamenYa: what do users think?

m mullin: Delicious ramen. Not exactly authentic but a good effort and the service and space is very welcoming. If you’re getting sick of tacos, this is a welcome alternative!

Sabrina Olmedo: If your looking for a nice, cozy place to have really good Ramen, “Ramenya” is your spot. Despite having opened quite recently, it is quickly becoming a popular place due to the quality of its food (ramen and tsukemen, mainly), the generous portions served and the friendliness of the staff. Red miso ramen and gyoza (a sort of dumpling) are my go-to dishes. Go ahead and give it a try!

michel giovanni torres lopez: This ramen is too close to the japan ramen. If you haven’t go to Japan yet, you can come here in Mexico City and taste the real ramen

Zach Newman: an unassuming ramen spot that was actually super tasty and hit the spot. no frills but delicious and lower cost.

John Yingling: There’s too many terrible Ramen joints in Mexico City. This is not one of them. Get the Tsukemen.

Aaron Montanez: The Tsukumen was delicious and their instructions on how to eat it were pretty helpful for someone who was new to it.

YANG YUWEN: As worked in 三田製麺所which is specialized in Tsukemen in Nakano Tokyo for few years, I would say it’s a pretty fine place to try Tsukemen and Ramen. Although personally Miso Ramen tastes more authentic than Tsukemen. The quality is surprisingly better than my expectation. First of all, the service was pretty friendly and kind, can use English as well. Shop was clean and organized, had a lot of Japanese decorations. Tsukemen was 175 peso which is not cheap even in Tokyo. Noodle looked yellow and pretty unique from Japanese noodle. The smell, and plain taste of noodle was very similar to Japanese one, from how they put amount of soda or something, it smelled like eggy (without egg) and texture was chewy like how it should be (felt like極太). The soup was not so much like Tsukemen but not bad as well. Felt more like a sesame chili oil miso ramen than Tsukemen (popular Tsukemen has 豚骨、鶏ガラ、魚介豚骨、鶏白湯...). チャーシューwas very good, without foreign pork’s bad taste but can be even softer in my opinion. メンマwas very authentic and crunchy. Didn’t bother to try 割スープ. Overall good. Spicy Miso Ramen was 140 peso, fine cost performance. The bowl size is smaller than Japanese size but you can get full I promise. Soup was thick, salty, porky, with a bit of miso and garlic taste. Different than Tsukemen soup but not enough distinctive. All other ingredients are as good as Tsukemen.

Jametaro: what do users think?

Yi-Chieh Chen: One of the most authentic and delicious ramen I’ve had in Mexico. The ramen shop itself has a really cute vintage/retro vibe. I arrived on a Thursday shortly after opening, and there were already 3 groups of customers before me. Service was fairly fast. I had the soya ramen and it was perfection - from the al dente noodles, to the soft boiled egg and the broth. Wish I had room for gyoza go with your friends! Payment by card accepted.

Paladarandantemx MX: Ramen place. Unique in La Santa María la Ribera. It is one of those local hidden places that you must go. Affordable and delicious For more reviews follow Instagram Paladarandantemx #ramen #japanese #cdmx

Julian: Super cute small menu great food

miguelangel tovilla: I Love it! Best ramen in town!

Andy Stauffer: As a (half)Japanese spending over a month searching for the best ramen in Mexico City I can confirm, Jametaro, checked the nostalgic box I was searching for. Would always recommend.

Guillermo Antonio Cardenas: Jametaro Is a jewel in Mexico City. Flavor is really Japanese, stew is rich with more than 10 hours of preparation. Real Ramen, real gyozas and amazing Karage. A must in the City. Relaxed and Laid Back.

Mex Vergara: Possibly one of the best Japanese restaurants in Mexico City. Absolutely mind blowing and super Japanese flavor. Delicious!

Gaby Cepeda: very, very yummy, good prices for great food. Small menu because everything is good, really.

Anna Argandona: Yummy! 🤤👌🏼

Ramen Sairi: what do users think?

Hannah: Super yummmmy. Great for a cool night, or a cold! I love that they have tofu ramen. Just be sure to see if it has cerdo or almeja in it (I asked for it to be removed) if you’re looking for something more vegetarian. Also, the resto is adjacent/connected to a store. But there’s a patio to sit on out front and some seats inside too. Spicy miso ramen was sooo good!

Jo: The food here is great and for a decent price. The gyozas were so good! I thought the broth of the Ramen Shoyu was a little strong. The pork itself was unreal though, melted like butter. Ramen Tenri was our favorite - bit more vegetables and a little bit of heat! And there’s an Asian shop attached too which was nice to browse.

Tiny Nitai: As a first time visitor I went for the curry ramen and was not disappointed, the service is a little bit slow, but worth the wait!

Andrea Ruz: Super tasty ramen. Small but the flavor is spot on. Service was nice and also quick. They also have a small shop space for japanese/asian products. Totally recommended.

Felipe Angeles: One of the best ramen in town. Could argue this is better than Momofuku Ramen in NYC! Also very good side dishes options. Hope it doesn’t become too popular…

dar: Ramen shop inside a retail shop is a fun concept. Being able to buy many of the ingredients they cook with is the perfect way to bring the good good home with you. We got the edamame, salad and two ramen: vegetariano and shoyu.

Amalia Ortiz: It is one of the best places to eat ramen in the Condesa. My recommendation is it is traditional with a normal portion of pork as it is very juicy. Another would be coriander, since it gives it that flavor of freshness and is a presentation worthy of a fusion meal. The veggie ramen features imported veggies so the flavor is phenomenal. I suggest you go before 2pm or after 3pm. It is not a space for large groups, better to go as a couple or alone. If you go alone, I recommend you sit at the bar that overlooks the street and enjoy the peculiarity of the area and its people. The menu of sakes and imported beers is recommended. It has a small super mini where you will find oriental items at good prices and quality kitchen tools. The instant food section is well stocked, and the coolers contain several wet food surprises. Quite a few good teas. Fair prices and not high at all. The attention is good. It is one of the places that I like to go the most to eat good ramen. ——/—-.

Vegan Ramen Mei CDMX: what do users think?

Bonnie Lawrence: Straight fire, I had tried this spot originally in PV and had though about their vegan Karaage ever since. I’m so so happy they have a location in CDMX now. Also super dangerous because I’ll be ordering from them all the time. This time I tried the Korean “pollo” and the spicy Shibiya, both were on point and I love some heat. Can’t wait to try everything! 💖

文文蔚: The best vegan ramen I have ever had! The soup is delicious and the Korean chicken is a must try. The toasted edamame is also very delicious. Highly recommend!

Rachel Molnar: Satisfying, delicious vegan ramen. Service was prompt and friendly. I will definitely go back!

山崎明信: I’m Japanese and very picky about ramen so I didn’t expect ramen in Mexico. But this place didn’t disappointed. The broth has perfecto umami and noodle is chewy and flavorful. I can easily guess this place is owned Japanese. (and seems it is.) You can’t miss orange chicken as a side dish. I’m not vegan by the way… Highly recommended !

Caitlin Meyers: The ramen was so good and the serve was prompt and professional! This is some of the best ramen I’ve had, including the many places I’ve been to in the United States.

Jay Shapiro: I love this place. It is becoming a weekly ritual and wonderful for a chilly evening!

J. Ray Sparks: The ramen & fried chicken pictured were excellent! Was going to give 5 stars. But we went back for the fried chicken at night and it was barely edible, mostly left over chicken parts with very little meat. That was disappointing. So we’d recommend going for lunch when supplies are fresh. This is a nice family run place that’s on a slightly quieter street. We’ll be back!

Deigo Ramen Zona Rosa: what do users think?

Wyatt Lawrence: Great ramen bar, just like in Japan. You order and pay through a machine at the beginning so the no staff really interacts with you which makes the whole experience fast. Fast wifi too.

Jeremias: Hard to find a place that can balance being 24 hours and producing good quality food, for that effort I give them 5 starts in my heart. The food however was closer to 4 star quality. We ordered 2 appetizers and 3 different ramen bowels. 2 of our bowels were much colder than the third. The dumplings 🥟 were fresh (not my favorite flavor) and the fried chicken had a nice spicy crunch to them. Probably the best ramen you will find in CDMX. Nice experience but there is often a wait outside which sucks when it rains, however they do kindly share umbrellas with their customers.

KG: Good ramen. Prices rather high for México - 250 mxn for most of the ramen. Good quality ramen, broth is rich. We went early on a Sunday morning (1130 am), No waiting time. Good service. Easy process on their vending machine.

Jason Nockels: Props for the curry ramen specialty, it’s not that common to see outside of Japan, actually even in Japan I’ve mostly only noticed it in Hokkaido. I also appreciate the restaurant was a very authentic ramen restaurant setting you’d see in Japan. The ramen itself was good, not perfect, but pretty good. I would (and have already) recommend trying it.

Cat Li: Amazing authentic ramen. Open 24 hrs, and from start to finish you feel like you’re in Japan. Expect to wait almost an hour, inside only sits about 10-15 ppl. Portions are hearty. Tantanmen broth is one of the best I’ve ever had. Do not get the karaage. Incredibly overpriced for a tiny portion

Tiff: Decent place, price is actually not too bad if you compare it to other countries or places. Food was super good. Downside is the wait to get inside to eat. Otherwise, good place to go

Guillermo Flores: Overall is a good experience, the place is small and nice, people are attentive. The food presentation is excellent. But the food is expensive and is not my type of ramen, the noodles are very thin and the broth is dense and highly seasoned.

Anton: Very happy to see that you can finally experience Japanese style Rame. shops, the prices are a bit steep we paid about 800 pesos for two.

Yi-Chieh Chen: Good neighborhood Japanese restaurant with friendly (English-speaking) staff. I love that they have a baby portion for the ramen, so that I can leave room for dessert 😂 Tonkotsu ramen broth is a tad too salty for me, but overall delicious and satisfying. The baby portion is about 7 to 8 spoons of noodles, which is just the right amount I needed. Harajuku honey toast was the perfect afternoon treat. The toast was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The berry sauce was rich and sumptuous. Want to try the other sandwiches next time!

Karel: Good food! Lot of nice things to try! The service is good too! I recommend

Marie I Laurent: Best ramen I’ve tried in Mexico City.I recommend Tori Patan baby size. And for dessert you’ve got to try Shibuya Honey Toast with a cup of coffee

Melissa L: After having a fantastic meal at GinChan, we had to try their new ramen and sando shop! Super authentic ramen and great service in CDMX. Love the baby ramen portions. Cotton cheesecake was delicious too!

Mog Bistro: what do users think?

Lainey Cameron: Such an extensive menu - so many different types of Asian food from sushi to ramen to Thai and so many other more unusual options. And delicious - from what I could tell they did everything well! Tip - could have a wait on busy nights..

Jose Oscar: This place has a great variety of Asian dishes. If you have a table in the second floor you will need to take your shoes off. The calpico drink is awesome. Also try the Thai style chicken. Ramens are good.

Javier Santiago: Great place for Asian food: Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai and a bit Chinese. The menu has a lot of items and may be overwhelming but the servers helped us explain the main dishes. Good service. The food took a bit longer than we expected to arrive. Pricing are competitive and there is a good value. We liked the presentation and flavor. Nice atmosphere. Recommend it. The manager León is a great guy. He told us that the owners are Japanese.

Miguel Vasquez: Great service, excellent taste, staff was very friendly and lots of options. I tried their miso Ramen and various toro dishes. Everything was brought out to us promptly and outside dining was excellent. Didnt have trouble parking on the street but they do have a vallet option if you dont want to struggle. Overall we had a great experience.

Jorge Mendoza: The ramen is very tasty but not the best in Mexico city. Prepared edamames are the best. The drinks are delicious. The desserts are amazing.

Karel: This place is just awesome! Food, drinks and service is really good! The outside terasse is great! A large menu 24 pages, so you have choice!! I recommend this place for everybody.

Nadav Levy: Cool place. Great atmosphere and good food. The spicy ramen (dont remember the name) was great but the udon was just OK. Also the okonomiaky was a little bit disappointing. The matcha crepe desert was amazing. Overall great place to have dinner.

Madai Ramen: what do users think?

Adam: Amazing fish and presentation. Feels like a very traditional Japanese sushi restaurant might feel. The Omakase was perfect and the device was excellent. No wonder this place is rated as one of the best in Mexico.

Kyler Zee: Outstanding but pricey sushi. Very good ramen. The pork was seared to perfection. The Fresh Ramen was a neat take on the dish.

Enrica Quartini: Prime sushi spot. Pricy but worth it. Excellent crafted selection of fish and exquisite execution by a superb chef. I’ve been twice now and will be definitely returning!

Freya Bryson: Fantastic food. Every single dish was a knock out. Quick service, friendly staff. Minimal decor, but not cold. I’d be surprised to find better sushi out there. Enoki sushi was an unexpected gem as is their mocktail. Highly highly recommend. So good went back three times on my short visit!

Mario Castillo: Best ramen in the area (probably CDMX) reasonable prices, good staff, nice place.
