Rokai Ramen-Ya: what do users think?

Kevin Shim: Came for the ramen, stayed for the sushi. This place is two places in one. Rokai Ramen-Ya is the ramen place and Rokai is the sushi place. You can order from both. I did not expect much from this restaurant. Initially, I thought it was on the pricier side for CDMX after looking at the menu. However, the sushi quality justifies the cost. I ordered saba mackeral, chutoro, and toro nigiris. Also, I had the spicy tuna maki and the kaisen maki. Everything was delicious. Rice was well-cooked and seasoned. Fish was fresh. Toro melted in mouth. Definitely worth checking out. I’m getting the omakase next time.

Nicolas LEE: If you're looking for real Japanese Ramen, this is the right place to be in, not Mexican styled Ramen, or Chinese / Korean styled Ramen. Seafood is very fresh, tempuras are neat and not greasy. Beware a lot of customers, so booking in advance required. 10/04/2022: tried the omakase set, advised by restaurant, upon receiving the bill i was surprised by the $1,800 price tag, considering the set was composed of one small entry dish, a fish filet, 9 nigiris, a miso soup, and a macha tiramisu. For the limited variety of fishes served, price was way too high! I would personally not recommend any of these menu, only a la carte.

Marina Stefanovic: Really good quality and authentic Japanese food, prepared with fresh ingredients. The menu is also very extensive and includes various starters, ramen, sashimi, sushi, other main dishes and desert. The only remarks I have is that (1) the futomaki rolls were very loosely rolled and therefore very difficult to eat (almost falling apart) and (2) wasabi was not served, so I had to ask for it. But overall a great place and I plan to visit it again during my stay in Mexico City.

Cat Li: Delicious. Pricey for the portion but worth a try. Broth is so rich and from start to end the experience is authentic. The futomaki is pretty good too, try to reserve before you go. If the wait is too long go to MO+F right around the corner :)

Clementina Vera: Very fresh seafood! The sushi rolls were exquisite, very friendly staff and nice environment. Would love to come back!

Sun Lee: Can’t speak for the ramen but the rolls I’ve had here are the best I’ve ever had. The ingredients are amazingly fresh and beautifully presented. Can’t wait to return to CDMX to come back!

Felipe Colomo: Great Ramen. Away from traditional Japanese recipes, but with all the flavor and top quality ingredients. Also, the sushi is just out of the league! (As Edo Kobayashi can only deliver). A must stop if you want to delight yourself with Ramen.,

Alex Tatner: Amazing food. Great service. Must visit. We had too much food but no regrets. Ramen, vegetable tempura donburi, salmon maki & fried chicken, all incredible!

Aja Brandman: Loved the vibe of the ramen restaurant, so we ate here, but ordered all sushi (the sushi restaurant is right next door). Food was delicious, the shishito peppers were a great appetizer. All the fish tasted fresh and considering how much we ordered, price was reasonable.

gg C: This place was sooo good!!!! I'm so happy to try this place. It was a little expensive but the food tasted wonderful and my daughter loved it. We got the Vietnamese Ramen (I think that's what it was called) and the fried wontons. My daughter enjoyed everything. Definitely a must try!

V Ramen: what do users think?

Charlie Huynh: I think I've finally found my Japanese spot. This place reminded me of when I was stumbling across a corner restaurant in Kyoto and it has all the dishes you are looking for. With a complete vegan and traditional menu, the Ramen was close to perfect, the Dimsum and Shumai tasted homemade. This place is not over priced and definitely will be calling this my local spot for my Japanese food cravings.

Kate Jarocki: V Ramen is SO DELICIOUS. They have a huge menu with other dishes in addition to ramen, including Japanese curry, tonkatsu, taiyaki, onigiri, gyoza, etc., and it just goes on and on. They have A TON of vegetarian options, too (including vegetable broths for the ramen, and even portobello tonkatsu!), which was a wonderful find. The staff is amazing, so kind and they genuinely love working there. We will definitely be back often. Thank you!

Cesil J. “DarkAngelDB” Roman A.: The dishes are amazing, the taste of the curry is delicious and the okonomiyaki, one of the best!!! Vegetarian options: They do have a special vegetarian menu

bernard willis: Super solid, with some nice Japanese-Mex mashups on the menu, including with the creative ramen roofless options.

Emma Harvey: We've been here twice. The first time our food took ages to arrive and they made a few mistakes with the order but the taste was okay so we decided to return. On the second visit the food was inedible. It took ages for the it to arrive (again) and when it did come, my meal was cold and I had to send it back. The vegetarian dumplings tasted off and the noodles in the ramen had an unusual egg smell. We complained twice and they gave us a complimentary dessert but that doesn't really make up for the over priced disgusting meal we were severed. We won't be returning.

Natassa Gelinas: Very amazing menu, not the best ramen I ever tried in my life but very very good!! Their dishes are very amazing and the variety of catering to vegans all the way to meat eaters is amazing! I really appreciate the service and the place is cute! All in all I defo suggest it for any ramen lover! The fact that they have 1/2 portions of ramens is amazing!! 🙏 great job guys!!

Vedika Kumar: I always try to like vegan places but this was very disappointing. They served me the wrong food and then charged me for it and refused to correct the bill. The noodles were soggy and the tantamen broth tasted like just salt. The tofu appetizer was not crispy and the salad was soggy and also too salty.

Cat Lantigua: i almost never leave reviews and when I do it’s usually to say amazing a place is, but my experience last night was so bad that I had to come and write why. We ordered 2 sets of veggie gyozas, the first ones were cold, the 2nd ones came out only after we reminded them about it. I ordered the curry ramen which was good, but my friend never received their order because their food was taken to another table (that arrived long after us) instead (due to bad communication b/w staff). It was only noted after ~30 mins and because we brought it to their attention. I ordered shrimp tempura to go along with my ramen, it only arrived after I reminded them about it ~20 mins into my meal. Once I received it, I got scolded by a waitress (the one who gave my friend’s meal to the wrong table) for putting the shrimp in my bowl because it was apparently a bowl only used for vegetarians/vegans but a disclaimer was never given. And also, does this mean they don’t thoroughly clean all of their silverware/serving plates/bowls? We ended up just asking for the bill early and never received the rest of the order. The quality of the food was outweighed by the horrible customer service. Nobody seemed to really care that we were there, and there was no urgency at all to help make the situation better, make sure the food came out in a timely fashion, or at all. I won’t be returning to eat here.

Rachel Clara Reed: We ordered on Uber Eats and one appetizer was missing when it was delivered - they made sure to send what was missing quickly with an added dessert to make up for it - wonderful service and lovely food :)Service: 5/5 …More

Matt Ruscigno: The vegan tantanman ramen is rich, creamy, and delicious. A nice sized portion as well. And they have much more than ramen on their HUGE vegan menu! Had excellent sushi, inari, and other sides. All above average. Have also had exceptional service here. The prices are reasonable for most everything and the wine bottles are some of the cheapest I’ve seen in CDMX.

Mukyu ramen: what do users think?

Ms E. E.A.: The restaurant is clean and very cozy. It has a decent size for a Japanese restaurant here. The ramen is really good. The broth was amazing but the serving is lesser than I expected for it's price. But overall, I would recomment it. I'd love to try the other food next time.

Todd Hata: The most authentic Japanese food I've had in Mexico City. The chef is from Yokohama, the tonkatsu Ramen reminds me of my favorite Ramen in Yokohama, it's so good, fresh ingredients, homemade noodles, just amazing. Every dish I've tried has been so good, the fried chicken is amazing, the fried rice, the gyoza, the desserts. One of my favorite restaurants in Mexico City!

Anton: Delicious authentic Ramen joint we found by accident, what a great surprise. The Curry Ramen was tasty as well as the karage teishoku. The dessert Annin Dofu, almond milk tofu, oh my goodness, it's a must have!Recommended dishes Edamame, Curry, Curry Udon …More

Anna Simonse: My husband and I both had the shoyu ramen, gyoza, edamame, and coca-cola's with 20% tip it came out to ~$50 usd. The ramen broth was pretty good and egg cooked perfectly soft, but the noodles were seemed more like spaghetti and a bit heavy. Service was quick and friendly. Not sure it's worth the trip.

Alex Delechambre: Excellent ramen place. I had the curry ramen w.hich was better than expected. The tofu salad was average. Service was quick and friendly. Overall a good place for a late lunch/early dinner

Wontaek º: I had the tonkotsu ramen with extra chashu. The ramen is pretty good. Its not amazing but it definitely grows on you as you continue eating. Be aware that the ramen is quite expensive (400+ pesos) even by NYC and SF standards. However, they were very generous with the extra chashu that I ordered on the side for 100 pesos. I think it was like 5 or 6 additional pieces.

Alex Juan: Very authentic Japanese ramen! Though not cheap but totally worth a try!!Recommended dishes Gyoza …More

Miguel Pablo: I feel like I have to update my review .. this place has seriously the best staff ever .. they are always attentive to your needs and will do their best to accommodate you. The food is extremely delicious the staff is extremely friendly and if I could give them more stars I would. Go get your ramen here you won’t be disappointed.
Response: Thank you very much for your comments! For us it is a pleasure to serve you as best as possible. Cheers!

Ben Huff: Amazing ramen and edamame! Cool atmosphere too.

mayu: Nice place!!! loved it, the taste... EXCELLENT, very traditional, prices $$$... worth it(COVID precautions 👍🏻)

Yamasan Ramen House: what do users think?

Jack: I’d say good vegetarian ramen is not the easiest to find in CDMX, but Yamasan Ramen House’s Vegetarian Ramen is not too shabby! It’s quite flavorful and has a couple of ingredients like corn, tofu pocket, seaweed, bamboo shoots, fried garlic, cabbage, carrot, scallions, and white sesame seeds. The soup can get a tiny bit salty, but otherwise I really enjoyed the ramen. The portion size was nice and I’d say for the price of around 190 pesos, I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Kevin Mitchell: For context, this is the first Japanese restaurant / food I've eaten in CDMX, so please consider that when reading my review. It is entirely possible for example that this is the best katsu curry (tonkatsu curry i.e. カツカレ) in the city. I'm writing this review in a fairly critical way, mainly to help any other person specifically looking for "normal" Japanese katsu curry. That said, I'd probably give the curry / pork combo a combined 3.5/5 stars, but I'm bumping my overall rating up to 4/5 stars because the price was very fair and my spouses ramen was pretty good (too salty though, probably another 3.5 stars), and the portion of pork in the meal was very good. My main issue was the curry itself - the curry felt homemade, which could be a good thing, but it just didn't have the taste I've come to expect. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it was almost too savory or pungent / deep in flavor, vs sweet and a bit acidic. The tonkatsu itself was very good (4.5/5 probably), but be aware at least my portion was very thick. I'd almost say "amazing", sort of like a higher end katsu restaurant, except it was perhaps not entirely what I was expecting with the curry. If you're reading this and want a nice tonkatsu though, I'd give this place a try at least. My other issue (again, this is a pretty critical review I realize) was the rice wasn't super great in my opinion. Again, perhaps it's great for the city, or great for the price point, I unfortunately can't say yet (so again, grain of salt!), but it felt overcooked / mushy to me.

Natali Arenas: As a vegetarian this is my favorite Ramen spot. There is just one vegetarian ramen option but it's delicious. There are few tables so you must wait 25 min get in. I recommend to arrive before 2:00pm. The drinks are ok, I would suggest to order a calpico and then a hot sake 🍶. The waiters are nice but they sometimes are a bit slow bringing the check. Vegetarian options: There are not so many vegetarian options besides the Ramen 🍜 as a side dish they offer salted edamames

s y: If you've had good ramen before, I wouldn't recommend here. I got karage sweet & sour and yamasan ramen. Chicken was really tough and hard to chew. Ramen was so so.

Len Aye: We knew the place was going to be good due to people queuing to get a table, around 3 pm in the afternoon. I ordered Boshu Kakuni ramen and my wife ordered Chinese Hot & Spicy ramen. The fried chicken wings was very fresh, crunchy Ellet soft and spicy. The huge lump of pork belly was so tender and sweet. My wife also love the flavour of the soup. The waitresses were attentive and quick. We’d happily go there again next time.

Shani Hashmonay: Great ramen and good serviceThey serve “Naruto ramen”

Lame Loser: Pretty good ramen. Try the house special or the spicy broth one, those two are my favorite. For appetizers definitely order the pork belly, it is well cooked, tender, and full of flavor. You can skip out on the ginger cocktail, it lacks flavor, but it does cool you down with the lemon and ginger. Cold beer is a most with Ramen, but be aware that the beer is almost as expensive as the Ramen. I'm sure importing them cost a lot of money. Don't forget to add a Tamago as a side to your ramen.

Lena Yang: Small ramen shop located in a small mall / plaza. We wanted to switch it up after eating tacos for a week and were excited to try this place after seeing all the good reviews on Yelp and Google. We had the Yamasan Ramen. It was mediocre — flavor of soup was somewhat there but it wasn’t rich and brothy. Lots of toppings but not necessarily needed or a good complement to the ramen (i.e. cole slaw). The pork was not charred or flavorful. In fact, one of my pieces was cold. Good attempt on ramen but I wouldn’t recommend.

Andrea Alejandre: Small place, a little overpriced but with great flavors, great service, very traditional dishes, toppings and beverages, however we waited over an hour to get in, i can't decided if it was worth the wait. But if it wasn't overcrowded, it would have been really good.

Rafael Muñoz G..: We ordered the chinese hot and spicy ramen and we don't recommend it unless you want a ramen with the taste of mole, their spicy isn't spicy at all; the service isn't slow but we had about three different waitresses leaving us and forgetting what I asked for. I will not come back and don't recommend this place. For being ramen their specialty and not doing it right.. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Ton Ton Ramen: what do users think?

Black Ryder: Heard about the place for some time now and, honestly, I expected better. The Ton Ton ramen was alright but surprisingly simple with few ingredients, so it’s kind of overpriced, really. The menu is somewhat small and a tad unattractive as well, and sushi rolls and other delicacies are a bit too expensive and can be found at much better prices and in bigger portions in other restaurants around the area. The attention was fine and the service was quick, so that’s something in their favour but, honestly, I wouldn’t visit again.

Hope Elleston: The food was nice, but the service was quite disappointment. While we were eating they told us first that the kitchen was closing, and then that service was going to stop soon if we wanted anything else. We didn't order either of those times, and then they brought us the bill when we still had full plates of food, even though we hadn't asked for it. Then they brought the card machine so we could pay while we were still eating and we had to tell them to come back, because it was quite rude. We arrived while there was still service and nowhere near closing time, obviously they just wanted to finish early

Antonella Bandiera: I mean it could be better, but it is super good for the price. The dry noodles were very tasty, the ramen was ok (broth could have been more flavorful). Service is very good.

A. Vitriol: Yesterday I was able to visit this place and I was quite dissapointed. First my glass had a weird smell all over it; then we ordered two different kinds of ramen and they switched the flavour of the soup, also they did not added the mushrooms to our ramen because the "flavour was too strong" for some clients, instead of just saying that they forgot to add it or that they ran out of ingredients. I told all of this to the waitress and they gave me an ice cream in compensation but still not a pleasant experience.

Michael Dang: Friendly staff but the food wasn’t that tasty and authentic. Wouldn’t come back for a bowl of ramen and Karaage.

Dylan HQ: First of all the service from the waitress was kind of rude...secondly if you know Japanese Ramen, the egg should be soft boiled egg not over cooked...basically you can tell from the yellow part of the egg, the soup does not taste like an real ramen soup, the meat is also very over cooked, most importantly, ramen itself...you cannot call it ramen...all in all if you are looking for an real ramen shop, this is definitely not the good one. I would never go again or recommend it to anyone...for spending 199 peso trying ramen like this...

Bruno: Incredibly impressed with the TonTon ramen. Broth was fantastic & noodles were pretty good. Pork could’ve been better & less tough. Service was fine & the Hoji tea was refreshing… would eat here again!

Walker Storrer: FOOD POISONING. We are sure it was the salmon sushi and poke and have been having constant diarrhea throughout the night. I’m writing this at 4AM after my fifth trip. But don’t let this distract from the fact that the ramen was really bad. Edit: Taking my friend to the hospital now to get antibiotics. Ruined the trip.

Ale O: The veggie ramen is very nice, the service is fantastic all with reasonable prices 🍜🍜🍜

Teresa derosas: Bad service, bad food. I have no idea why this place has such high ratings. Our pork and shrimp ramen lacked flavor and the noodles were well over cooked. Our cocktails were watery and too sugary, not sure if they even added liquor. ... to top it off, a waiter brought us an entrada that he claimed was complimentary. We were billed for it and forced to pay. You are better off passing this place by!

RamenYa: what do users think?

m mullin: Delicious ramen. Not exactly authentic but a good effort and the service and space is very welcoming. If you’re getting sick of tacos, this is a welcome alternative!
Response: Hi Mullin! Thank you so much for your review. We hope to see you soon again! 🍜

Sabrina Olmedo: If your looking for a nice, cozy place to have really good Ramen, “Ramenya” is your spot. Despite having opened quite recently, it is quickly becoming a popular place due to the quality of its food (ramen and tsukemen, mainly), the generous portions served and the friendliness of the staff. Red miso ramen and gyoza (a sort of dumpling) are my go-to dishes. Go ahead and give it a try!
Response: Hi Sabrina! Thank you so much for your review! We’re very glad you liked it, our staff puts a lot of love in making our dishes and giving a great service. We hope to see you again soon! 🍜

Anton: Absolutely delicious ramen, the Tsukemen is a unique "dipping" noodle and the broth is super thick and strong so you're bound to be taken on a taste journey. The only downside is the heat, there's no air conditioning so be ready. Totally recommend this place.
Response: Hi A Y! We’re glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for your review, we will work in a way to reduce the heat inside the restaurant. We hope to see you soon again! 🍜

michel giovanni torres lopez: This ramen is too close to the japan ramen. If you haven’t go to Japan yet, you can come here in Mexico City and taste the real ramen
Response: Hi Michel! 😃 Thank you so much for your review, we try to make ramen as close as possible to the Japanese one! 🍜 Hope to see you again soon! 👩‍🍳

Zach Newman: an unassuming ramen spot that was actually super tasty and hit the spot. no frills but delicious and lower cost.

John Yingling: There’s too many terrible Ramen joints in Mexico City. This is not one of them. Get the Tsukemen.
Response: Hi John! We’re glad you liked it hope to see you soon again! 😃🍜

Aaron Montanez: The Tsukumen was delicious and their instructions on how to eat it were pretty helpful for someone who was new to it.

lizzi: I came here because they had tsukemen and that's often not a given for ramen restaurants in the US. I was surprised by how authentic the flavors are and the noodles are spot on. However, if you have had this dish in Japan, don't expect the consistency to be on the sauce-y side. Nonetheless, delicious and great service!!
Response: Hi Lizzi! We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed our Tsukemen, we hope to see you soon again! 😃🍜

Brent: Good Ramen but a little pricey for the portion size. They also didn't have the two ramens I wanted on the menu.

YANG YUWEN: As worked in 三田製麺所which is specialized in Tsukemen in Nakano Tokyo for few years, I would say it’s a pretty fine place to try Tsukemen and Ramen. Although personally Miso Ramen tastes more authentic than Tsukemen. The quality is surprisingly better than my expectation. First of all, the service was pretty friendly and kind, can use English as well. Shop was clean and organized, had a lot of Japanese decorations. Tsukemen was 175 peso which is not cheap even in Tokyo. Noodle looked yellow and pretty unique from Japanese noodle. The smell, and plain taste of noodle was very similar to Japanese one, from how they put amount of soda or something, it smelled like eggy (without egg) and texture was chewy like how it should be (felt like極太). The soup was not so much like Tsukemen but not bad as well. Felt more like a sesame chili oil miso ramen than Tsukemen (popular Tsukemen has 豚骨、鶏ガラ、魚介豚骨、鶏白湯...). チャーシューwas very good, without foreign pork’s bad taste but can be even softer in my opinion. メンマwas very authentic and crunchy. Didn’t bother to try 割スープ. Overall good. Spicy Miso Ramen was 140 peso, fine cost performance. The bowl size is smaller than Japanese size but you can get full I promise. Soup was thick, salty, porky, with a bit of miso and garlic taste. Different than Tsukemen soup but not enough distinctive. All other ingredients are as good as Tsukemen.
Response: Hello, Eva! Thank you so much for visiting us and making such an amazing and complete review. We’re glad you liked it and we hope to see you soon again.

Yi-Chieh Chen: One of the most authentic and delicious ramen I’ve had in Mexico. The ramen shop itself has a really cute vintage/retro vibe. I arrived on a Thursday shortly after opening, and there were already 3 groups of customers before me. Service was fairly fast. I had the soya ramen and it was perfection - from the al dente noodles, to the soft boiled egg and the broth. Wish I had room for gyoza go with your friends! Payment by card accepted.

Paladarandantemx MX: Ramen place. Unique in La Santa María la Ribera. It is one of those local hidden places that you must go. Affordable and delicious For more reviews follow Instagram Paladarandantemx #ramen #japanese #cdmx

Kana H: Be careful. Google map is not correct 😭 They are not open on Tuesday. I wasted my traveling time 😭

Julian: Super cute small menu great food

miguelangel tovilla: I Love it! Best ramen in town!

Andy Stauffer: As a (half)Japanese spending over a month searching for the best ramen in Mexico City I can confirm, Jametaro, checked the nostalgic box I was searching for. Would always recommend.

Guillermo Antonio Cardenas: Jametaro Is a jewel in Mexico City. Flavor is really Japanese, stew is rich with more than 10 hours of preparation. Real Ramen, real gyozas and amazing Karage. A must in the City. Relaxed and Laid Back.

Mex Vergara: Possibly one of the best Japanese restaurants in Mexico City. Absolutely mind blowing and super Japanese flavor. Delicious!

Gaby Cepeda: very, very yummy, good prices for great food. Small menu because everything is good, really.

Damien Neuman: Had the ramen + Chicken karaage (3 piece) combo. Great hangover cure and perfect amount of food. Went with the miso ramen and everything from the broth to the Noodles and pork were high quality and delicious. I'll definitely return to try more of the menu.
Response: I appreciate your visit. We are very pleased with your review. we will try to make best ramen at CDMX. We look forward to your next visit.

Nadia Stark: It’s a hit!! Great Ramen, and I’ve tried many different ramen restaurants. However, minus 2 stars for their awful staff. The first time I came I got rude service for no reason. I still tipped, gave the benefit of the doubt. This second time, not only was the woman with the short hair very rude but they forgot my drink and still wanted to charge me for it. They also didn’t seat me, take my order, or bring me the bill. After waiting a long time for each I had to flag down the waitress for everything. I didn’t tip this time, tips are for decent service and in this case I didn’t receive any.
Response: I would like to apologize your inconvenience. I really really sorry for having bad experience with us. Please let me know for the next time to apologize directly. And thank you for your understood.

Anna Simonse: ** update - have been back a couple times... Tanmen and Tenri Miso ramen, spam onigiri, and Natto Don are all yummy! Finally found ramen and gyoza 1) tasty 2) served at the right temperature 3) reasonably priced 🤗 Gyoza was perfectly pan fried, maybe a little greasy but yummy. My husband got the Chuka Especial and I tried the Miso Kimchi Ramen. Will be back to work our way through the menu, and pick up all the cute home goods and food in their store. So happy to move into the neighborhood 😊 Ps. I'm sorry the bench broke when I sat down...i only weigh 49kg. Staff didn't make me feel stupid, just moved it away quickly and asked if I was ok 🙏🏼
Response: I appreciate your visit. We are very pleased with your review. From now on also we will try to make best ramen at CDMX. We look forward to your next visit. *Don't worry about chair :)

Hannah: Super yummmmy. Great for a cool night, or a cold! I love that they have tofu ramen. Just be sure to see if it has cerdo or almeja in it (I asked for it to be removed) if you’re looking for something more vegetarian. Also, the resto is adjacent/connected to a store. But there’s a patio to sit on out front and some seats inside too. Spicy miso ramen was sooo good!
Response: I appreciate your visit. We are very pleased with your review. we will try to make best ramen at CDMX. We look forward to your next visit.

Jo: The food here is great and for a decent price. The gyozas were so good! I thought the broth of the Ramen Shoyu was a little strong. The pork itself was unreal though, melted like butter. Ramen Tenri was our favorite - bit more vegetables and a little bit of heat! And there’s an Asian shop attached too which was nice to browse.
Response: I appreciate your visit. We are very pleased with your review. we will try to make best ramen at CDMX. We look forward to your next visit.

Tiny Nitai: As a first time visitor I went for the curry ramen and was not disappointed, the service is a little bit slow, but worth the wait!
Response: Thank you so much. I recomend after eat curry ramen, you can order Risotto. The taste is very nice.

Andrea Ruz: Super tasty ramen. Small but the flavor is spot on. Service was nice and also quick. They also have a small shop space for japanese/asian products. Totally recommended.
Response: I appreciate your visit. We are very pleased with your review. we will try to make best ramen at CDMX. We look forward to your next visit.

Felipe Angeles: One of the best ramen in town. Could argue this is better than Momofuku Ramen in NYC! Also very good side dishes options. Hope it doesn’t become too popular…
Response: Thank you so much. Don't worry about it. We will keep doing our best!!!

dar: Ramen shop inside a retail shop is a fun concept. Being able to buy many of the ingredients they cook with is the perfect way to bring the good good home with you. We got the edamame, salad and two ramen: vegetariano and shoyu.
Response: Thank you for your comments. We hope your next visit also.

Amalia Ortiz: It is one of the best places to eat ramen in the Condesa. My recommendation is it is traditional with a normal portion of pork as it is very juicy. Another would be coriander, since it gives it that flavor of freshness and is a presentation worthy of a fusion meal. The veggie ramen features imported veggies so the flavor is phenomenal. I suggest you go before 2pm or after 3pm. It is not a space for large groups, better to go as a couple or alone. If you go alone, I recommend you sit at the bar that overlooks the street and enjoy the peculiarity of the area and its people. The menu of sakes and imported beers is recommended. It has a small super mini where you will find oriental items at good prices and quality kitchen tools. The instant food section is well stocked, and the coolers contain several wet food surprises. Quite a few good teas. Fair prices and not high at all. The attention is good. It is one of the places that I like to go the most to eat good ramen. ——/—-.
Response: Thank you for your comment. We look forward to future visits as well.

Vegan Ramen Mei CDMX: what do users think?

Bonnie Lawrence: Straight fire, I had tried this spot originally in PV and had though about their vegan Karaage ever since. I’m so so happy they have a location in CDMX now. Also super dangerous because I’ll be ordering from them all the time. This time I tried the Korean “pollo” and the spicy Shibiya, both were on point and I love some heat. Can’t wait to try everything! 💖
Response: Thank you very much Bonnie ✨ And also thank you for loving our ramen and Korean fried chicken 🍜😚

文文蔚: The best vegan ramen I have ever had! The soup is delicious and the Korean chicken is a must try. The toasted edamame is also very delicious. Highly recommend!

Response: Hola!! Thank you for coming Vegan Ramen Mei. There's nothing better than eating ramen on a comfortable terrace on a sunny day. 😋 Have a good day~💝

山崎明信: I’m Japanese and very picky about ramen so I didn’t expect ramen in Mexico. But this place didn’t disappointed. The broth has perfecto umami and noodle is chewy and flavorful. I can easily guess this place is owned Japanese. (and seems it is.) You can’t miss orange chicken as a side dish. I’m not vegan by the way… Highly recommended !
Response: Hello Yamazaki-san! I myself am Japanese and I am very picky about ramen, so I am very happy that Japanese people are happy with our ramen. Please come to Vegan Ramen MEI when you come to Mexico again! Thank you very much 😊

J. Ray Sparks: The ramen & fried chicken pictured were excellent! Was going to give 5 stars. But we went back for the fried chicken at night and it was barely edible, mostly left over chicken parts with very little meat. That was disappointing. So we’d recommend going for lunch when supplies are fresh. This is a nice family run place that’s on a slightly quieter street. We’ll be back!

mayu: 🤩 big portions 👍🏻 Corean taste guaranteed 👍🏻 Average Prices (card accepted) 👍🏻 Bathroom in 👍🏻 Service

Hannah Radigan: We walked 30 minutes to get our to-go order, got home to find it was wrong, we called the store again to let them know, and when we spent more time going back and getting the correct food they took no ownership of their mistake (we took a picture and they refused to see it), and basically said because they had written down the order correctly that they didn’t do anything wrong. Child-like behavior. Took 1.5 hours to get our basic ramen order with no apology or decency from staff. Wasn’t worth it.
Response: Good afternoon Hannah, the ramen house you ordered is a spicy ramen, I remember that when he asked me for the food he told me that it was the siracha hot sauce, on the call I did not hear that he said that the ramen was not spicy, sorry about that . When he arrived at the restaurant to tell us that it was the wrong ramen, we changed it for a new one, thanks for your comment :)

Natali Arenas: There are two ramen options for vegetarians. I was hoping for a little more flavor and maybe vegetables. I ordered the Ramen House which had avocado, sliced carrots and Oaxaca cheese. I asked for the broth without spicy but I'm not sure if this was the reason of the lack of flavor, I had to add soy and a few drops of siracha. My companion ordered a Ramen with egg and told me the broth on his ramen also has a lack of flavor. The service was very good, the waiters were very attentive and the music was nice. Vegetarian options: Two options of ramen, one with cheese and other just vegetables

Joe Suh: As a Korean American, I just had to try Korean food in Mexico City. Did not disappoint. Dolsot bibimbap was as good as I've had in the states, and dare I say even comparable to what I've had in Seoul as well. Service was good and had a nice chat with the owner

Ari M: We came here because of the great reviews and ended up disappointed. The shrimp ramen tasted like it was out of the packet, which for me the most important part of any ramen is the broth. Although, the veggie rolls had fermented veg inside which gave them a nice flavour. Overall, slightly overpriced for the quality of the food.

Citlali Ramírez: The place looked small, but is not. The service is perfect, the food was brought almost immediately, hot and it was delicious.I will be back.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Response: Thanks for your kind words, I'll try harder

Kris Eddy: I've been eating here for a while now, quality dishes and serving are always on point. Normally the spicy ramen are actually very spicy so be careful. The place is managed by an awesome couple and they have an amazing service.

Ujwal Velagapudi: Broth was just too hot sauce like. Fried chicken was ok, the pieces were odd. Overall decent, but would much rather spend the same to go to a place with some proper ramen that has a great broth & noodles.
Response: Thank you

Christian Gutierrez: Great food, well portioned, nice service and reasonably priced. The staff are kind and the owners focus on giving a fast but enjoyable eating experience.

Deigo Ramen Zona Rosa: what do users think?

Ichi Jp: This is one of the best ramens I ever eat, but there are some things I didn't like. The place is very full and very small you need to wait at least 40 minutes, I had to wait 1 hour and 35 minutes. You pay before getting serve and then the waiting, they only sell ramen and like 4 entrees, the drinks are all canned ones they don't even have lemonade or anything fresh, it's a very authentic experience and the ramen is delicious but it's also the priciest ramen I have eat and that's why it doesn't have a 5 stars review you can get equally delicious ramens cheaper and with no waiting.

Wyatt Lawrence: Great ramen bar, just like in Japan. You order and pay through a machine at the beginning so the no staff really interacts with you which makes the whole experience fast. Fast wifi too.

Jeremias: Hard to find a place that can balance being 24 hours and producing good quality food, for that effort I give them 5 starts in my heart. The food however was closer to 4 star quality. We ordered 2 appetizers and 3 different ramen bowels. 2 of our bowels were much colder than the third. The dumplings 🥟 were fresh (not my favorite flavor) and the fried chicken had a nice spicy crunch to them. Probably the best ramen you will find in CDMX. Nice experience but there is often a wait outside which sucks when it rains, however they do kindly share umbrellas with their customers.

Ms E. E.A.: First time to visit in the store and it was a great experience! The owner Diego was so friendly and very accomodating, though there was a language barrier, but it great! I ordered Chanshu ramen. It's so filling and the taste as what I expected is satisfying. I got a green tea which was served while waiting. And I also got fried gyoza for free!! I would definitely recommend it when you're at Reforma. Kudos to everybody who works at the store.

KG: Good ramen. Prices rather high for México - 250 mxn for most of the ramen. Good quality ramen, broth is rich. We went early on a Sunday morning (1130 am), No waiting time. Good service. Easy process on their vending machine.

Jason Nockels: Props for the curry ramen specialty, it’s not that common to see outside of Japan, actually even in Japan I’ve mostly only noticed it in Hokkaido. I also appreciate the restaurant was a very authentic ramen restaurant setting you’d see in Japan. The ramen itself was good, not perfect, but pretty good. I would (and have already) recommend trying it.

Cat Li: Amazing authentic ramen. Open 24 hrs, and from start to finish you feel like you’re in Japan. Expect to wait almost an hour, inside only sits about 10-15 ppl. Portions are hearty. Tantanmen broth is one of the best I’ve ever had. Do not get the karaage. Incredibly overpriced for a tiny portion

Tiff: Decent place, price is actually not too bad if you compare it to other countries or places. Food was super good. Downside is the wait to get inside to eat. Otherwise, good place to go

Guillermo Flores: Overall is a good experience, the place is small and nice, people are attentive. The food presentation is excellent. But the food is expensive and is not my type of ramen, the noodles are very thin and the broth is dense and highly seasoned.

Anton: Very happy to see that you can finally experience Japanese style Rame. shops, the prices are a bit steep we paid about 800 pesos for two.

Ольга Марченко: Super tasty food and great prices 👌 we will come back 😇Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Adam Knight: 4 stars relative to other 🍜 in Mexico 😊 Good, not great. Ingredients were tasty and fresh. Broth was ok. Takimeshi fried mixto rice was great. Very friendly staff.

Sasha Miroshnychenko: Tasty and affordable 👍

Francisco Vivar: Ok

Jose Zamora: Coool

Arturo EsCon: After several attempts still living in Guerrero I finally found it. Very very good. It's an unassuming place with an extensive menu and friendly service. Oishi Ramen is a local secret you have to know about

Moises Solis: It is a very nice place, what I ate was quite tasty, everything tastes great and the portions are good, one of the best ramen. They accept transfer, a plus.

Margarita Vazquez: Excellent service, if they take time to give you your food but it is because of its freshness and it is really worth it. The only bad thing is that it is very small.

Valeria Michaus: I don't know let the area fool you. It's a good place, the ramen was great (so good that I didn't even take a photo haha) and the roll we ordered was the same. The prices are quite affordable, the food is made at the moment, friendly attention. Small place but it looks like it will succeed. Good taste, good price, good service, what else?

Celene Martín: Good price, and the taste is fine. They do not accept cards; They receive cash or transfer.

Katsu Sando: what do users think?

Youngmahn Moon: Cute place off the beaten path. It's quaint but the food leaves a bit to be desired. In their defense, great ramen is hard to master. Katsu sandwich was a bit thick and therefore a bit tough.

Yi-Chieh Chen: Good neighborhood Japanese restaurant with friendly (English-speaking) staff. I love that they have a baby portion for the ramen, so that I can leave room for dessert 😂 Tonkotsu ramen broth is a tad too salty for me, but overall delicious and satisfying. The baby portion is about 7 to 8 spoons of noodles, which is just the right amount I needed. Harajuku honey toast was the perfect afternoon treat. The toast was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The berry sauce was rich and sumptuous. Want to try the other sandwiches next time!
Response: Thank you so much for the review, we really appreciate that you had time to give us a review since we are a brand new restaurant we only have three weeks opened and we take this reviews into a lot of consideration as for our all the restaurants. Karel: Good food! Lot of nice things to try! The service is good too! I recommend

Marie I Laurent: Best ramen I’ve tried in Mexico City.I recommend Tori Patan baby size. And for dessert you’ve got to try Shibuya Honey Toast with a cup of coffee

Melissa L: After having a fantastic meal at GinChan, we had to try their new ramen and sando shop! Super authentic ramen and great service in CDMX. Love the baby ramen portions. Cotton cheesecake was delicious too!
Response: Thank you very much for your review. We love that you love our baby portions. We hope to see you again soon.

מורג: Very tasty! I ordered amazing beef ramen and nice gyoza. Really nice spot as well. Very kind people. Recommend!

rotem yaron: Amazing ramen , only served from 13-17 so take note on that.I had the vegan ramen and it was great

Julio Pérez: So delicious Ramen, very tasty 😋The place is clean and the service is very kind.

bethany dufresne: Cute new Japanese spot in Roma Norte. Tasty katsu sando and highly recommend the yakitori. Good meet-up spot for yakitori and drinks.
Response: Thank you very much! This means a lot to us because we are brand new and we are sorting a lot of things out. We appreciate your review!!

Mog Bistro: what do users think?

Lainey Cameron: Such an extensive menu - so many different types of Asian food from sushi to ramen to Thai and so many other more unusual options. And delicious - from what I could tell they did everything well! Tip - could have a wait on busy nights..

Jose Oscar: This place has a great variety of Asian dishes. If you have a table in the second floor you will need to take your shoes off. The calpico drink is awesome. Also try the Thai style chicken. Ramens are good.

Jason Teh: The chef's choice of skewers is a killer deal. The katsu sauce rice bowl was also delicious. Ramen was okay. Would come back except for the fact that I was charged for a takeout box ($10) and for the full price of my cocktail even though I requested it without alcohol (maybe my fault here for not requesting clarification on the charge).

Charlie Huynh: Wasn't sure what to expect before coming here. But every dish was a massive 'Wow' from me. Probably the most tasty rich ramen I've had so far in CDMX. The tempura was massive and not oily, and the Pad Thai was on point. Definitely coming back here

Ehsan Yazdan Panah: The restaurant vibe is very nice. You can see lots of people eating but you don’t feel crowded (Friday at 1700). We had Ramen 🍜 and it was ok! I am not a very fan of asian food but the broth of the ramen was very yummy. The service was not the fastest you can find CDMX but staff were very nice and friendly

Javier Santiago: Great place for Asian food: Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai and a bit Chinese. The menu has a lot of items and may be overwhelming but the servers helped us explain the main dishes. Good service. The food took a bit longer than we expected to arrive. Pricing are competitive and there is a good value. We liked the presentation and flavor. Nice atmosphere. Recommend it. The manager León is a great guy. He told us that the owners are Japanese.

Miguel Vasquez: Great service, excellent taste, staff was very friendly and lots of options. I tried their miso Ramen and various toro dishes. Everything was brought out to us promptly and outside dining was excellent. Didnt have trouble parking on the street but they do have a vallet option if you dont want to struggle. Overall we had a great experience.

Jorge Mendoza: The ramen is very tasty but not the best in Mexico city. Prepared edamames are the best. The drinks are delicious. The desserts are amazing.

Karel: This place is just awesome! Food, drinks and service is really good! The outside terasse is great! A large menu 24 pages, so you have choice!! I recommend this place for everybody.

Nadav Levy: Cool place. Great atmosphere and good food. The spicy ramen (dont remember the name) was great but the udon was just OK. Also the okonomiaky was a little bit disappointing. The matcha crepe desert was amazing. Overall great place to have dinner.

Madai Ramen: what do users think?

Adam: Amazing fish and presentation. Feels like a very traditional Japanese sushi restaurant might feel. The Omakase was perfect and the device was excellent. No wonder this place is rated as one of the best in Mexico.

Altan Alpay: Classic tourist trap. Bait and switch. Maida has two joint places, one has sushi, the other has ramen. Ramen shop has the same sushi items in the menu, prepared by same chef but lower price. We were going to sit to Ramen place. Host insisted to seat us to the sushi bar, which has different menu, same sushi but higher prices. Waiter adds tips without asking. Also back kitchen is extreamly slow. We ordered miso soup first, we got it after we asked for check. Also tempura was very late served.

R Jones: I came here because I saw pictures of fresh and juicy salmon sashimi. Instead I got frozen, tasteless, stale salmon. The pictures make it look better than it actually was. Even when I sent it back and they added truffle and egg it did nothing to save the poor quality of the salmon. The shrimp and tuna roll was nice, but expensive (290) and with 6 small pieces of mushroom sushi I still ended up paying 750 after they took the salmon sashimi out of the bill. Too expensive and the quality does not justify it. Many better places even in Mexico City.

Kyler Zee: Outstanding but pricey sushi. Very good ramen. The pork was seared to perfection. The Fresh Ramen was a neat take on the dish.

Margot: I’m so sad to say that this place is extremely over priced. The fish was good. The sashimi especial was a big disappointment. Tiny cut pieces. Had to order rice to go with it. Tiny little slivers of fish. It was not sashimi. Also, there was nothing special about it. Salmon, tuna, and red snapper. The cheapest standard fish. Water was expensive. Service was just ok. 2 stars for the quality of the fish. Unfortunately, I had to spend a lot of money and then go out to dinner somewhere else afterward. If you’re a real sushi fan or very hungry, I would not recommend going here. Again, I’m so sad about how expensive and tiny quantity everything was.

Enrica Quartini: Prime sushi spot. Pricy but worth it. Excellent crafted selection of fish and exquisite execution by a superb chef. I’ve been twice now and will be definitely returning!

Freya Bryson: Fantastic food. Every single dish was a knock out. Quick service, friendly staff. Minimal decor, but not cold. I’d be surprised to find better sushi out there. Enoki sushi was an unexpected gem as is their mocktail. Highly highly recommend. So good went back three times on my short visit!

Mario Castillo: Best ramen in the area (probably CDMX) reasonable prices, good staff, nice place.

Mauricio Ramirez: Nice place. Ramen was very authentic (that includes just one slice of pork belly, since japanese don't eat that much meat, although I'd have loved 2 or 3). The place is just like a ramen shop in Japan, in the middle of CDMX. Service was very good, and the place is not too crowded at night. They also got a sushi bar next to it which I gotta try someday. Prices average USD 11-16 per dish, so it could be around USD 25-35 per person with appetizers and drinks. The menu is online too, so you can check it.
Response: We are very happy that you liked Mauricio It is a pleasure to serve Regards !

Eik S.: At first the sushi was absolutely fresh and very good. But the price was a little bit to much, I paid for a mix plate with 11 sushi around 800 pesos!
