El Cardenal: what do users think?

Simon Howe: Terrific breakfast, brunch, and lunches were had here by my wife and I. The service is excellent! The hot chocolate is an absolute must - though I recommend sharing it between two adults as it is quite rich and very strong. The breakfast menu is delightful with terrific flavour. Not too spicy - just right. My eggs and beans kept me full and ready to go from 9am right until we had dinner at 7. They have English menus available and many of the wait staff understand some English.

April Yang: This is a very lively place and the service is great. Pro tip: Come here early to avoid the crowd. They have English menu. We ordered the zucchini flower and mushroom omelette plus carnitas tortilla with a side a bacon, and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is a must try!

Antoine Avdb: We had the seasonal menu. The starter and dessert are common and do not deserve any comment here. However the Chile de Nogada was incredible. This plate is worth the trip to the restaurant, it was sublime (and in large quantity, with hindsight we might have only took this plate rather than the menu)

glorcyinia: Staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Place was clean, food was good. The whole dining experience was remarkable given the money spent is not that much. Well recommended!

Nejc Korasa: The place was half empty when we arrived at ~5pm on Wednesday so we didn’t have to wait to be seated. The food was delicious, we tried 2 starters and opted for 2 different kinds of Chicken Mole for the main dish. Mole was great and very filling, remember that if it’s your first time trying it :). One thing I disliked is that the service felt very rushed, and with the restaurant being half empty that felt unnecessary. The waiter waited for me to finish the starter and in 10 seconds replaced my empty plate with the main dish. He took the glass of beer before it was empty etc… The place offers a good value for money as well. See the picture of the bill for reference. Overall I would recommend it for a good dining experience of Mexican food.

Elías Ortíz: Excellent place, nice atmosphere. The staff very friendly and attentive. The delicious food. The salmon dish with mango extraordinary flavor and presentation. Crispy and attractive bolillos. I recommend visiting this place.

Angel Lo: Great experience at this "El Cardenal" Mexico City downtown. It is just a block from La Catedral in this beautiful Mexico City. The service is just what expected. People are polite and they are willing to assist all customers. Special recognition to Mr. Álvaro for his great customer focused service. Quality if meals is to point out. This is high quality mexican cuisine so it is worth it to visit and have a tasty meal (breakfast, lunch or supper) This particular site is very convenient if you are downtown area.

MAD-TJ Travels: Pastry Chef Lucero’s skills are amazing. She is leading a strong team who delivered amazing food. Every pastry is excellent 👍🏾 If you are friends with the chef like me 😁, you can get White chocolate croissant with lemon zest & orange , glazed with honey, worlds best ! Breakfast is wonderful & on the house, Mexican omelette is delicious. Their hospitality is top class 👏🏾 A strong & capable women force 👏🏾👍🏾 Loved the ambiance !

Kurt and Sheila Team: You must do the tasting menu with the wine pairing! This dining experience coupled with the amazing weather and friendly people is enough to bring us back to Mexico City. It was amazing. Fantastic service from Ivan, Arturo and Guadalupe. We came for the amazing views but will return for the amazing experience and fine dining. Thank you for the great memories.

Hannah Perlmutter: Came here for our anniversary dinner and absolutely loved it. We didn’t make a reservation so we sat inside (not on balcony) and it was still amazing. Loved the cocktails and the food. Especially the dessert. Would recommend for a special occasion or just a fancy day!

JUSTINA: We went here 3 weeks ago and its such a beautiful romantic place and the scenery is very nice. Food was good and drinks were good. The only issue was you had to have reservations for the balcony and there were none available for our stay.

bianca huzum: What an amazing experience! We had breakfast here for 7 days (we stayed at the Zocalo hotel) and had dinner here once as well. The service is incredible! Friendly, attentive and fast staff. The food was delicious and the view was breathtaking. I consider myself lucky for seeing the sunrise over the cathedral for 7 days in a row while enjoying a cup of coffee.

EverythingPlayaDelCarmen Website: We give this place a 4.3. It is a well designed restaurant with a great view. It is also the same place for breakfast for hotel guests, so usually means not a truly a good restaurant focus on food. Coffee is very good here. Baked goods were dry and not very tasty. Food was good but not special. The view makes it worthwhile but there is a good chance you won’t have a seat with an unobstructed view or not much of a view at all.

Janice Mendez: This is an excellent restaurant with the best views in the city. The food is excellent. We had dinner last evening and came back for lunch. It’s clean, airy and the service is remarkable. Would highly recommend.

Agathe Guerrier: Excellent food and wonderful views over the Zocalo. Creative Mexican cuisine with many vegetarian and even vegan options. I give 4 stars because the DJ tested the sound system for a good hour during lunch and that was extremely disruptive.

Patrick Miller: what do users think?

Esteban Sanchez: Patrick Miller is an ABSOLUTE BANGER of an establishment! It’s an absolute must for visitors of Mexico City who love nightlife and dancing. Nights start out with 80’s/90’s music then transition to more contemporary Latin club hits. Local dance crews from across the city turn up to have dance battles and exhibit their skills in the middle of dance circles. Step up and show them what you’ve got! *note* establishment is CASH ONLY and cash must be exchanged for tokens when are likewise exchanged for drinks

Danying Gu: Haven’t gone to any club since Covid. My local friend took us there and it’s a very memorable club experience! This is a very authentic night club for dancing and chilling! (They only serve beer though)

Zach Newman: definitely a must for late night dancing! pumping bass, strobe lights, and a huge crowd. music was not as techno-y as expected. eclectic group. welcoming. went around 11 on a friday and it was absolutely awesome. got a delicious pizza at pizza felix beforehand nearby. $100 pesos a person.

Jose Oscar: It a dance floor. It will be hot inside and packed. But will have fun. Please be aware you pay a 100 MXN ticket to enter and inside you have the get in line to buy coins that will help you get beer. 1 beer = 50 MXN. Not tables available. Just enjoy the high energy music remixes. The story of Patrick Miller is also interesting, probably should google it to learn a bit.

Andy Martinez: If you like dancing then this is the place to be! Cover and the beer are very cheap here, everyone you will run into here is usually from another country just looking to have fun in the CDMX nightlife. The only downside is there is always a wait to get in so you may not get inside at all.

Joshua Daniel: such an odd and lovely little place! clean cover and cheap drinks (100MX cocktail /shots, 50MX beer). There is no central DJ so it makes the dance floor perfect for meeting new people! Very welcoming for a tourist looking to dance

Sara Mosadegh: Best club in CDMX. Go early to beat the line, get out early because it’s too hot and they let too many people in.

Kamyar Khozeimeh: A very democratic dance floor with unbelievable energy of crowd ranging from teenagers to much older a most seen in your Mexico city trip

Mike de la Fuente: A good place to go and dance. Almost only 80s and 90s music. Simple place, 2 things to drink beer and water.

Juanjo Argüello: This was one of the most memorable experience in my visit to Mexico City. We visited the Palacio de Bellas Artes during the weekend and saw a Ballet Folklorico de México show. It was a very emotional performance and the venue completely immersed you. The building’s architecture is stunning. The shows are almost always sold out, so you should either purchase your tickets in advance or arrive at least two hours before the show.

Darshan Shetty: A must visit if you are in Mexico City. The architecture is beautiful and if you can go to the sears cafe across the street, I would definitely recommend that. The view of the palacio from the sears cafe is unreal. Go here while the sun is setting for an even better experienceVisited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …More

Shauna Habel-Morgan: Absolutely exquisite! I feel the Mexican culture has such a richness and vibrancy to it. You can see it in their art. The vast murals capture the past, the history, the struggle, the temples, the gods. It weaves all of life together in depth and beauty!

Ben marcacci: Beautiful! A must see… go into Sears … yes I said Sears across the street from the front of the building, take the elevator to the 8th floor and there is a cafe that overlooks the building. I took the picture from there. China town is a 2 minute walk from here, also the post office famous for its architecture is 2 minutes too. Alameda park is work a stroll through as well

N M: Excellent museum inside out. So beautiful marbles all around and massive dome. They need to have the description in English for tourists. Apart from dat, great spot to visit , cheap entry and only accept pesos like all other govt institutions 😊Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More

Agathe Guerrier: Great service and food in a wonderful ancient building which was clearly shaken but not destroyed by earthquakes. Many vegetarian and some vegan options. Great service!

Jonathan Christodoulides: One of my favourite meals in Mexico! Only downside is that the staff offer no help when it comes to suggestions for ordering.

Aura Cocina Mexicana: what do users think?

José HERNANDEZ: During our first visit to Mexico, we took the Street Tacos Class. It was an AMAZING experience: we started out with a coffee in the morning, then made a round of introductions and headed out to the neighborhood to visit some venues (trying hard not to give away any spoilers...). We came back to the kitchen and cooked away. Gaby, our chef, was just great: knowledgeable, patient and passionate about Mexican cuisine. We ended up the cooking class with a tasting of the tacos we made ourselves. Back for a second visit in January, we took the Mexican salsas lesson, also with Gaby. This class was amazing and definitely sealed our love for Mexican cuisine. To me, I measure the success of this experience by the fact that back home I am constantly visiting the Mexican grocery stores and cooking Mexican food at home. Those experience were in-person. I will definitely try out the online classes.

Piotr Tomaszewski: Best place to spend some time and learn how to make real Mexican food. Tacos classes ... Amazing experience. Visit on a local market, taste some local food and cooking classes, It was the best choice. Pame (our chef) is so nice person full of love to local food. Thank you

Kristen Shields: I came here for a cooking class 3/13 while in Mexico City. I had a great time. The store and market tour was super fun and insightful. Graciela is super friendly and answered all of our questions. The group I was with was so much fun. I think this class introduced me more into Mexican cuisine than I had ever learned. I feel that the class was well organized and we all worked together to cook the food. I highly recommend their virtual or in person classes which I have done both and they were great.

Kelly McNamara: Fantastic experience ! Highly recommend. Pame was such a welcoming and friendly host and so knowledgeable. The market tour was amazing , so much to see and taste. The tacos we made were so delicious! Overall amazing experience. We had tonnes to eat and drink 🙂

Julio Gonzalez: Took the street tacos class with Pamela. Had a wonderful experience I recommend to anyone who wants to have a real food experience regardless of your cooking skill or interest. We toured the local market, learned about the culture as we learned about the food and made some excellent tacos and sauces we shared together. Well worth the time!

Bas Dopheide: Thank you Aura Cooking School for the amazing Street Tacos cooking class. Our instructor Gaby did a fantastic job teaching us more about Mexican ingredients, salsas and tortillas. The cooking studio is nice, cozy and well equipped and the tacos you prepare are outstanding. I highly recommend this place.

Dave Stockert: We just had the most wonderful private cooking class for 13 of us on our first trip to Mexico City. We toured the market, learned so much about the ingredients we would be using as well as traditional Mexican techniques, and tasted some delicious food (so come hungry). Then back to the well-appointed studio for a hands-on experience cooking a fabulous Mexican meal. Our chef instructors — Pame and Gaby — were an absolute delight. Highly recommend

Elin Lien: Very fun foodie experience - we did so much (street food sightseeing, market tour, cooking, drinking) in so little time, the hours really flew by. The food we made together was incredible, our chef kept the atmosphere fun and included everyone, and there were plenty of little surprises along the way. Thanks for a great experience, can’t wait to try to make these recipes at home!

Wanderers Compass Travel Blog: Huge park with gorgeous wide open grounds. Very clean and well kept. Lots of families enjoying their day here. Tons of food vendors. The castle on top is spectacular along with the views. Did not make it to museum but we have told often it is one of the best there is!

Gal Zigdon: Huge park and the castle is very cool, cost 85 pesos and the line was about 30 minutes wait time.. I didn’t understand much because everything is in Spanish, but cool art inside and cool things to see, also the view was amazing, over the city and trees and the park. Outside there are lots of ppl who sell everything, food to sunglasses. Enjoy.

Connor: Nice and clean place to chill at. It’s huge, twice the size of Central Park! Lots of cool spots to check out inside the park with tons of vendors along the way.

Oscar H. Fajardo: Great place to escape the city and the heat . Tree canopy is great for those hot days. Plenty of shade and activities to keep you hydrated and fed. Street performers and trinkets all round . Enjoy the museums and zoo in an around the park .

Alex Garcia: Very big and beautiful park. For tourists you can find an entire area full of vendors with cheap items. The line for the castle was long but it moves quickly. Be sure to wear your sneakers as it’s a long hike but you get a nice view of the city. Remember to carry 5 pesos for the restrooms.

Zahar Varentsov: Another must visit parks. It huge and has many paths to take. The large castle at top gives a nice view of the Mexico City skyline. The stands around the park give someone this snack one while strolling.

Jamin Atkins: Wow…An amazing park with lots of local craft vendors, performers and well maintained nature sites. One of the things which most amazed me was how clean the bathrooms were given the size of the crowds on Sunday. If you are looking for a lazy day, this is the spot

Rachel Reinholm: All the way from Dallas, TX! Absolutely loved the park. Great zoo and it was free. Lots of walking - which is my favorite! There’s a big pond where you can paddle boat. Beautiful, well kept park!

Matthew Sena: This place was awesome. I’m a big history buff so seeing all the culture and fascinating. The walk up was enjoyable since the weather was perfect. I would definitely put this on your list of to-dos if you are visiting. Awesome photo spots. Was a little congested inside but I was also visiting during independence weekend. Enjoy!

Nha Ha: A great experience and excellent setting. There wasn’t a wine pairing when I went but they did offer what they thought would be a great drink to pair. I would opt to finish dessert in the patio if the weather is nice and it isn’t too busy. Food wasn’t mind blowing but it was tastefully done and had great flavor to it.

T Le: Came here with my husband because of the show Chef’s Table. It was a unique dining experience that you want to have once if you are visiting Mexico City! You can tell there was a lot of time and thought that was put into each dish which we appreciate. A+ for creativity! The service was flawless. Some reviews may say this place is overrated but if you like to indulge in fine dining, definitely give this place a try!! We booked our reservation 3 months ahead so make sure you pre-book before your trip!

Ceraun Loggins: This was worthy of the months wait and the price tag. Such a beautiful intimate dining experience. The flavors in the mouth was divine and you can tell how much thought and effort went into making this meal. The wine pairing is def what I would get because they were so divine and really highlighted the dishes. Standouts are the lobster Brussels sprout taco and the crab soup with crab empanada

Sunny Hirpara: This is my second Pujol experience and it simply always seems to impress. The ambiance to the service to the wine selection to the incredible food. We were blown away. I will admit I wasn’t a fan of the main fish dish but I always seem to not like 1 dish out of a tasting menu. Beyond that, everything was perfect. The chef even allowed us to come back into the kitchen and had the whole kitchen staff take a picture with us! So incredibly nice of them!

Kira Sea: Had a lovely dinner here. I got little tripped up by worlds 5th best restaurant since there is a higher expectation and food is subjective but overall, it was good. Loved the ant and the corn. Also really enjoyed the tortillas that had leaf since I didn’t get to try that anywhere else.

Cem ERTEN: This is the place where you find the main cathedral in the city along with the archeological remains of the pyramids from the pre-Spaniard. It is unique with the colonial buildings and seeing how they actually sink and get damaged while sinking. There are plenty of things to see besides from the cathedral and the pyramid remains such as the presidential palace. It is very lively and leads to the pedestrian shopping street with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Anne W.: A place to see in Mexico city! Not a very good visibility the day we went as there were a lot of trucks... In preparation for a flower festival. We hired one of the bicycle taxi for a tour of the different landmarks of the city and we ended up paying the double of the price agreed as at the end, out of nowhere, he announced us the price was per person and not for the vehicle. Be careful!!

Juan Rangel: Cool place with tons of space. At night time it looks beautiful because the building lights change color. It’s probably best to come during the day if you want to see the architecture.

Solo Traveler: huge square but blocked off. surrounded by stunning cathedral and government buildings. lots of shops and restaurants around the area. very touristy but worth the visit. free wifi near the square, very considering.

Ben marcacci: Great spot to get some cleansing done… buy souvenirs, eat and drink. Hop on hop off bus is there too just go and explore

Eclipse Adventure Travels: Lots of history & culture here! Visited on a Saturday so traffic was fairly light. Worth visiting if ever visiting DF.

Glen Bermel: An amazing area with lots of history. Beautiful Presidential palace and parliament buildings. The national flag is impressive!

Ptitsuisse: Hard to find (the entrance is just a closed curtain and there is no sign), but once inside it’s a great bar, with underground vibes and very good music. The mezcal selection is nice, though without knowing them you have to make a random choice between the names. They have a small selection of craft beer with even some Belgian ones. It gets very busy from 22h onwards.

Java Acosta: Great little place in the city filled with a huge selection of mezcal (distilled beverage kind of like tequila) from all over México, awesome ambiance and great service!

Jose Santos: Good food, great selection of mezcal, with a soundtrack and ambient that make it singular and a must visit. Service is as good.

Fred Groen: Cozy hotel in a great location with a thoughtful team. Stayed for two nights as a family of three with a 17 month old and everyone went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant.

Beau D'Silva: Did a 3 night 4 day stay recently. The hotel is located in Polanco near plenty of restaurants and cafes that can be reached on foot. Believe the reviews that say how attentive the staff is. They accommodated our every need. We had trouble buying museum tickets to Casa Azul from the States . I reached out to the hotel a few days prior to our trip and they booked the tickets for us. They also organized transfer to the airport for us with an excellent driver. The hotel and room were clean and well maintained . Our trip also included a small but delicious continental breakfast that had fresh juice, coffee , fruit yogurt parfait , and a basket of fresh pastries. The room also included sodas , juices , water , and snacks that were included and restocked daily. I would recommend this place hands down over any of the big hotel names. Looking forward to coming back one day. Thank you to the staff and management for a wonderful stay!

Mary Chamberlin Cummings: My new favorite hotel. The location and amenities like complimentary continental room service are great but the care and poise of the staff is what takes it to the next level. Diane L: Lovely lovely hotel, a real iconic hotel in Mexico City. Stunning property, beautiful rooms that face the courtyard. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff could have been a little more attentive but it was fine. The pool staff though were incredible. Very sweet very attentive like they deserve a bonus for how great they were. Very thing was explained well and you felt very welcomed. Lovely heated pool. Perfect escape from the city life.

Virginie Bilodeau: Hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed at. The place is magnificent, with a perfect balance between coziness and elegance. With the warm welcome and the fireplace, we felt at home the moment we step in. We received flawless customer service. The staff thought of everything and went above and beyond to make us feel special. The concierge gave us the best recommendations and had excellent follow-ups. If we needed anything, it was at our fingertips. Regarding location, the hotel is in a safe area within walking distance from Chapultapec Park. There is a lot of restaurants and tourist place nearby. The essential oil and the outdoor garden make the place very unique. December was an excellent month for our stay, as we could feel the holiday vibe and Christmas magic. Our visit was worth every penny, and the room service was also very prompt.

Erin D: Amazing hotel and they really went the extra mile as we were on honeymoon. Concierge was incredibly efficient and the pool staff in particular stood out as being very helpful. We did a brunch on New Year’s Day which was all you can eat, it was amazing. The bar was also lovely and everyone was so friendly. Very happy to have spent a few days here!

Luis Contreras: One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff is amazing and very accommodating, the room are beautiful and spacious and the room service is impeccable. This is all standard stuff for the four seasons. But the staff just made it even better. The outside fireplace is lights up the corridor at night. Very safe location with lots of foot traffic. I can not say enough about the staff they went above and beyond to make sure I got everything I needed. I will definetly be back to this location.

Jaime Francis: Signature service and experience. Loved the garden area that led to the bar/restaurant. Beautiful. Excellent service. Nicer part of the city so walkable in terms of safety albeit a bit of a long walk from tourist attractionsLocation: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More

la. nskey: Well looked after, wonderful cocktails, clean rooms, perhaps a little dated for some but I feel that’s a charm. The courtyard is utterly beautiful with the verandas and luscious green flora. I very much enjoyed my stay.

Francisco Vallejo: Love this hotel - it really is a peaceful oasis in the middle of Mexico City’s chaos. Great rooms, food and service. Really recommend Fifty Mills. Management could do some work around the pool area, which is a bit outdated.
