El Cardenal: what do users think?

Simon Howe: Terrific breakfast, brunch, and lunches were had here by my wife and I. The service is excellent! The hot chocolate is an absolute must - though I recommend sharing it between two adults as it is quite rich and very strong. The breakfast menu is delightful with terrific flavour. Not too spicy - just right. My eggs and beans kept me full and ready to go from 9am right until we had dinner at 7. They have English menus available and many of the wait staff understand some English.

Sesar Urkaregi: What an experience. After a nice afternoon in the city center spending a much needed rest here was a great experience. The food was A++ traditional and crazy yummy. Even tired ant larvae called in Spanish Escamoles really good and didn't think anything else about it. They have such a good variety of dishes. The choices of mole one to the other are all so good from sweet to a nice spice. None where to hot spice wise. They even have a serenading guitar band that makes the experience all so enjoyable. Enjoy in good eats and health!

April Yang: This is a very lively place and the service is great. Pro tip: Come here early to avoid the crowd. They have English menu. We ordered the zucchini flower and mushroom omelette plus carnitas tortilla with a side a bacon, and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is a must try!
Response: Thank you very much for your comment and your preference.

Antoine Avdb: We had the seasonal menu. The starter and dessert are common and do not deserve any comment here. However the Chile de Nogada was incredible. This plate is worth the trip to the restaurant, it was sublime (and in large quantity, with hindsight we might have only took this plate rather than the menu)

glorcyinia: Staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Place was clean, food was good. The whole dining experience was remarkable given the money spent is not that much. Well recommended!

Victoria Z: Waited 15 minutes to get in. The location is nice. The service was fast but very little communication, does not feel that the staff was friendly. There was no conversation whatsoever, but was efficient. Ordered the fruit salad and an omelette. The omelette was way too salty, the fruit salad just regular, nothing spectacular, probably similar to what you can get on the street just plated. The hot chocolate was spectacular.
Response: We are very surprised for your comment. We'll pay attention to your observations. Thank you very much!

Nejc Korasa: The place was half empty when we arrived at ~5pm on Wednesday so we didn’t have to wait to be seated. The food was delicious, we tried 2 starters and opted for 2 different kinds of Chicken Mole for the main dish. Mole was great and very filling, remember that if it’s your first time trying it :). One thing I disliked is that the service felt very rushed, and with the restaurant being half empty that felt unnecessary. The waiter waited for me to finish the starter and in 10 seconds replaced my empty plate with the main dish. He took the glass of beer before it was empty etc… The place offers a good value for money as well. See the picture of the bill for reference. Overall I would recommend it for a good dining experience of Mexican food.

Crista Hines: The Cafe de olla and the pastry with fig started of our meal! It was delicious. One of the best pastry I've ever had! The omelet was good, but I didn't expect the kick to it. It was great overall nevertheless!!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Elías Ortíz: Excellent place, nice atmosphere. The staff very friendly and attentive. The delicious food. The salmon dish with mango extraordinary flavor and presentation. Crispy and attractive bolillos. I recommend visiting this place.

Angel Lo: Great experience at this "El Cardenal" Mexico City downtown. It is just a block from La Catedral in this beautiful Mexico City. The service is just what expected. People are polite and they are willing to assist all customers. Special recognition to Mr. Álvaro for his great customer focused service. Quality if meals is to point out. This is high quality mexican cuisine so it is worth it to visit and have a tasty meal (breakfast, lunch or supper) This particular site is very convenient if you are downtown area.

Balcón del Zócalo: what do users think?

Steph R: If you're looking for an upscale experience with a view this is a great place. Located inside the hotel so it makes parking easier. Amazing views, pretty restaurant, clean, friendly. Menu does vary a little bit from time to time. We tried a little bit of everything and everything was good. A little bit pricey but worth doing at least once. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible elevator
Response: Dear Steph, Thank you very much for taking the time to write these words. I am pleased to know you highly recommend Balcón del Zócalo and were satisfied with the views, the friendly staff, our cleaning measures, facilities and the gastronomical offer. Hopefully we will have the honor of serving you again, very soon. Best regards, Chef Pepe Salinas

Michael Levy: Among the best meals I've had, including Michelin starred restaurants. Superb flavors, gorgeous presentations, beautiful restaurant with great vibe and music, solid relaxed-pace service, and the balcony views of Centro and the square are icing on the cake. Did the tasting menu, no drinks. Fantastic value at ~60usd. My only critique is that about half of the (many) desserts were far too sugary for my palette, and that's a palette that enjoys candy.
Response: Dear Michael, Thank you very much for choosing Balcón del Zócalo and letting yourself be caught by the culinary experience we have created: atmosphere, service, views and of course, the taste of our dishes. What a pride to know you put us at the level of the best restaurants. Please be sure we will take into account your feedback about the desserts, thank you for helping us to improve. It will be a pleasure to serve you again, very soon. Best regards, Chef Pepe Salinas

MAD-TJ Travels: Pastry Chef Lucero’s skills are amazing. She is leading a strong team who delivered amazing food. Every pastry is excellent 👍🏾 If you are friends with the chef like me 😁, you can get White chocolate croissant with lemon zest & orange , glazed with honey, worlds best ! Breakfast is wonderful & on the house, Mexican omelette is delicious. Their hospitality is top class 👏🏾 A strong & capable women force 👏🏾👍🏾 Loved the ambiance !

Kurt and Sheila Team: You must do the tasting menu with the wine pairing! This dining experience coupled with the amazing weather and friendly people is enough to bring us back to Mexico City. It was amazing. Fantastic service from Ivan, Arturo and Guadalupe. We came for the amazing views but will return for the amazing experience and fine dining. Thank you for the great memories.

Hannah Perlmutter: Came here for our anniversary dinner and absolutely loved it. We didn’t make a reservation so we sat inside (not on balcony) and it was still amazing. Loved the cocktails and the food. Especially the dessert. Would recommend for a special occasion or just a fancy day!
Response: Dear Hannah, Thank you so much for choosing us for such a special occasion. We are so happy to know you enjoyed from beginning to end your visit to Balcón del Zócalo and thrilled to read you liked our gastronomic experience, especially our dessert options. We try to make every visit something unique, so I´m glad to know we achieved it. We will be honoured if you visit us again very soon. Best regards, Chef Pepe Salinas

JUSTINA: We went here 3 weeks ago and its such a beautiful romantic place and the scenery is very nice. Food was good and drinks were good. The only issue was you had to have reservations for the balcony and there were none available for our stay.
Response: Dear Justina, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I am very excited to know you consider us a romantic option and that you enjoyed both our culinary offerings and the overall ambiance. I am very sorry that you were unable to get a table on the terrace, indeed we recommend booking in advance to be able to get a table. Next time we will be happy to help you with your reservation. It will be a pleasure to serve you again. Best regards, Chef Pepe Salinas

bianca huzum: What an amazing experience! We had breakfast here for 7 days (we stayed at the Zocalo hotel) and had dinner here once as well. The service is incredible! Friendly, attentive and fast staff. The food was delicious and the view was breathtaking. I consider myself lucky for seeing the sunrise over the cathedral for 7 days in a row while enjoying a cup of coffee.
Response: Dear Bianca, Thank you so much for your comments! We are so happy to know you enjoyed from beginning to end your visit to Balcón del Zócalo and thrilled to read you liked our gastronomic experience (breakfasts and dinner), the great views every morning and the friendly service. We try to make every visit something unique, so I´m glad to know we achieved it. We will be honored if you visit us again in your next trip to Mexico City. Best regards, Chef Pepe Salinas

EverythingPlayaDelCarmen Website: We give this place a 4.3. It is a well designed restaurant with a great view. It is also the same place for breakfast for hotel guests, so usually means not a truly a good restaurant focus on food. Coffee is very good here. Baked goods were dry and not very tasty. Food was good but not special. The view makes it worthwhile but there is a good chance you won’t have a seat with an unobstructed view or not much of a view at all.
Response: I am glad to hear that overall you enjoyed your visit to Balcón del Zócalo. The feedback from our guests is fundamental for our development, thank you for your comments, we will take them into account so that next time the experience is perfect from start to finish. Best regards, Chef Pepe Salinas

Janice Mendez: This is an excellent restaurant with the best views in the city. The food is excellent. We had dinner last evening and came back for lunch. It’s clean, airy and the service is remarkable. Would highly recommend.
Response: Dear Janice, It will always be a source of pride to receive such high ratings, as it means that our gastronomic concept and service are being well received by our customers, which excites us to continue offering unique experiences. I hope we have the pleasure of serving you again very soon. Greetings, Chef Pepe Salinas

Agathe Guerrier: Excellent food and wonderful views over the Zocalo. Creative Mexican cuisine with many vegetarian and even vegan options. I give 4 stars because the DJ tested the sound system for a good hour during lunch and that was extremely disruptive.
Response: Dear Agathe, It is an honor to know you liked our gastronomic offer, which is designed to please all types of palates and preferences. I am very sorry that your experience was affected by the DJ situation, we will take note of it so that this type of events do not happen again. Please come back soon, it will be a pleasure to welcome you again. Best regards, Chef Pepe Salinas

Patrick Miller: what do users think?

Esteban Sanchez: Patrick Miller is an ABSOLUTE BANGER of an establishment! It’s an absolute must for visitors of Mexico City who love nightlife and dancing. Nights start out with 80’s/90’s music then transition to more contemporary Latin club hits. Local dance crews from across the city turn up to have dance battles and exhibit their skills in the middle of dance circles. Step up and show them what you’ve got! *note* establishment is CASH ONLY and cash must be exchanged for tokens when are likewise exchanged for drinks

Danying Gu: Haven’t gone to any club since Covid. My local friend took us there and it’s a very memorable club experience! This is a very authentic night club for dancing and chilling! (They only serve beer though)

Zach Newman: definitely a must for late night dancing! pumping bass, strobe lights, and a huge crowd. music was not as techno-y as expected. eclectic group. welcoming. went around 11 on a friday and it was absolutely awesome. got a delicious pizza at pizza felix beforehand nearby. $100 pesos a person.

Jose Oscar: It a dance floor. It will be hot inside and packed. But will have fun. Please be aware you pay a 100 MXN ticket to enter and inside you have the get in line to buy coins that will help you get beer. 1 beer = 50 MXN. Not tables available. Just enjoy the high energy music remixes. The story of Patrick Miller is also interesting, probably should google it to learn a bit.

Andy Martinez: If you like dancing then this is the place to be! Cover and the beer are very cheap here, everyone you will run into here is usually from another country just looking to have fun in the CDMX nightlife. The only downside is there is always a wait to get in so you may not get inside at all.

Joshua Daniel: such an odd and lovely little place! clean cover and cheap drinks (100MX cocktail /shots, 50MX beer). There is no central DJ so it makes the dance floor perfect for meeting new people! Very welcoming for a tourist looking to dance

Sara Mosadegh: Best club in CDMX. Go early to beat the line, get out early because it’s too hot and they let too many people in.

Samuel Hinojosa: An American here: this place is extremely overrated, drinks are cheap but the music is terrible. Also the people here seem pretty weird. If you want regular clubing music go to El Bombay. Also AVOID El Departamento they have terrible music. Both have weird punk/hip vibes and terrible music.

Kamyar Khozeimeh: A very democratic dance floor with unbelievable energy of crowd ranging from teenagers to much older a most seen in your Mexico city trip

Mike de la Fuente: A good place to go and dance. Almost only 80s and 90s music. Simple place, 2 things to drink beer and water.

Palacio de Bellas Artes: what do users think?

Gabe Does: Splendid place to visit, for around $4 dollars you can go into the museum I went on Monday, The building itself is gorgeous. Inside it's like a museum and a theater all in one. I can't speak to the acoustics of the theater because we didn't see a show there, but we did see two different exhibits, as well as the huge murals on the walls, remember museums are closed on Mondays. Fantastic venue. Amazing folkloric dance performance! Don't bother buying tickets online just walk in prior to performance and buy...much easier and cheaper. We would go again and again. Without doubt, there's a pretty place to visit in CDMX

Juanjo Argüello: This was one of the most memorable experience in my visit to Mexico City. We visited the Palacio de Bellas Artes during the weekend and saw a Ballet Folklorico de México show. It was a very emotional performance and the venue completely immersed you. The building’s architecture is stunning. The shows are almost always sold out, so you should either purchase your tickets in advance or arrive at least two hours before the show.

Darshan Shetty: A must visit if you are in Mexico City. The architecture is beautiful and if you can go to the sears cafe across the street, I would definitely recommend that. The view of the palacio from the sears cafe is unreal. Go here while the sun is setting for an even better experienceVisited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …More

Shauna Habel-Morgan: Absolutely exquisite! I feel the Mexican culture has such a richness and vibrancy to it. You can see it in their art. The vast murals capture the past, the history, the struggle, the temples, the gods. It weaves all of life together in depth and beauty!

Irvin WC: The museum has some really cool murals. That alone was worth seeing. Especially on Sunday because admission was free. And who doesn't love free! But to be honest. The rest of the pieces they displayed was kinda meh! Of course art is in the eye of the beholder. So take that with a grain of salt. So it loses a star for the art. But it loses another star for the security. I have toured an Aircraft carrier and a prison. Both had less security. Literally there was a guard every ten feet. Barking directives at visitors as they walked by. It was quite unsettling. I spent more time worrying I was standing in the wrong place than enjoying the art.

Ben marcacci: Beautiful! A must see… go into Sears … yes I said Sears across the street from the front of the building, take the elevator to the 8th floor and there is a cafe that overlooks the building. I took the picture from there. China town is a 2 minute walk from here, also the post office famous for its architecture is 2 minutes too. Alameda park is work a stroll through as well

Julian Romero II: This church is so beautiful. Was built in the 1500s and is a must see! The detail, the architecture, the historical significance makes it a must. We had the pleasure of seeing a wedding. Just make sure you don't take pics of any events going on; I got yelled at 😂

N M: Excellent museum inside out. So beautiful marbles all around and massive dome. They need to have the description in English for tourists. Apart from dat, great spot to visit , cheap entry and only accept pesos like all other govt institutions 😊Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More

Ozgur Rugzo: It's a huge building with a fascinating architecture. The entry fee for museum was 80 pesos. We were told that the third floor (architecture) museum is additional ticket so didn't enter. The place is next to the very refreshing park and metro entrance. Must visit in Mexico City.

Dilan Herath: By far my favorite place in all of Mexico City!!!! I went here first to see the museum, and again for the Folklore Ballet. Such a beautiful place with incredible artwork. Museum 5/5 Buy tickets at the door. If you show up early, you get a more peaceful experience with almost no people. The bathrooms are very well maintained but are only on the 2nd floor after buying your entry ticket. Staff is very nice, helpful, and professional. Ballet Folklorico 5/5 It was divine; a classy night out to see skilled dancers perform cultural acts including Aztec and Mayan dances. If I ever return to Mexico City, I will visit for 2 or 3 of their events. They have a few different ones throughout the week. It's that good!! I recommend buying ballet tickets in advance for the best seats. Safety 5/5 The Museum is in the heart of the historic district. There is a positive police presence all around. You can see multiple officers on either side of the surrounding streets. Ambiance 5/5 There are tons of street vendors at the outside plaza and the surrounding streets. You can get some nice street food and just enjoy the weather and positive energy of the people hanging out.

Johnny Mai: Correct, but too expensive for a lunch.

Marlys Theunissen: This place is the best restaurant in Mexico not only the haga a great selection of French food they also have Mexican options the food wine and tequila amazing. Guillaume cds: Outstanding service from Raul and Eric who helped me book the best table at the best time to have the best experience.I highly recommend to reserve at 12pm for two people and envoy the delicious Mexican cuisine with the view on the iconic ruins of Tenochtitlán

Ivan Dumančić: Friendly service and seating area outside. Very loud at time from the music of the street entertainers (not even pleasant) that is too much noise. We only had a small snack with drinks.

Maximo Figueroa: Coming from California and my First time here with my Girlfriend was great!! All the food was amazing, and the drinks were so good! The view is very beautiful aswell! Highly recommend coming here! And for all the food, dessert and drinks(8 items) the total was under $100, only $1700 pesos! 5 Stars! Very fancy.. The service there is amazing, great waiters! Only issue I had was, you have to go up to many stairs, so not sure if it's wheelchair accessible, and not the best for the elderly. But soooo worth it!!

Agathe Guerrier: Great service and food in a wonderful ancient building which was clearly shaken but not destroyed by earthquakes. Many vegetarian and some vegan options. Great service!

Jonathan Christodoulides: One of my favourite meals in Mexico! Only downside is that the staff offer no help when it comes to suggestions for ordering.

Yang Y: Beautiful building, excellent service, and delicious dishes. The view from the terrace is fantastic! Highly recommended!

Aura Cocina Mexicana: what do users think?

José HERNANDEZ: During our first visit to Mexico, we took the Street Tacos Class. It was an AMAZING experience: we started out with a coffee in the morning, then made a round of introductions and headed out to the neighborhood to visit some venues (trying hard not to give away any spoilers...). We came back to the kitchen and cooked away. Gaby, our chef, was just great: knowledgeable, patient and passionate about Mexican cuisine. We ended up the cooking class with a tasting of the tacos we made ourselves. Back for a second visit in January, we took the Mexican salsas lesson, also with Gaby. This class was amazing and definitely sealed our love for Mexican cuisine. To me, I measure the success of this experience by the fact that back home I am constantly visiting the Mexican grocery stores and cooking Mexican food at home. Those experience were in-person. I will definitely try out the online classes.

Piotr Tomaszewski: Best place to spend some time and learn how to make real Mexican food. Tacos classes ... Amazing experience. Visit on a local market, taste some local food and cooking classes, It was the best choice. Pame (our chef) is so nice person full of love to local food. Thank you

Bryan Melega: Pame (and staff) were an amazing team that made for a most excellent day! The market tour was very informational and included tastings of delicious local delicacies. The cooking portion was steeped in history and explanations that were incredibly helpful. You get a recipe book so that you can try these amazing dishes at home! Don't bother looking for another cooking class, this one is well worth the price!!!

Kristen Shields: I came here for a cooking class 3/13 while in Mexico City. I had a great time. The store and market tour was super fun and insightful. Graciela is super friendly and answered all of our questions. The group I was with was so much fun. I think this class introduced me more into Mexican cuisine than I had ever learned. I feel that the class was well organized and we all worked together to cook the food. I highly recommend their virtual or in person classes which I have done both and they were great.

Kelly McNamara: Fantastic experience ! Highly recommend. Pame was such a welcoming and friendly host and so knowledgeable. The market tour was amazing , so much to see and taste. The tacos we made were so delicious! Overall amazing experience. We had tonnes to eat and drink 🙂

Julio Gonzalez: Took the street tacos class with Pamela. Had a wonderful experience I recommend to anyone who wants to have a real food experience regardless of your cooking skill or interest. We toured the local market, learned about the culture as we learned about the food and made some excellent tacos and sauces we shared together. Well worth the time!

Angie Rose: The Authentic Mexican Cooking class was such a phenomenal experience from start to finish. We ended the day feeling that Aura had gone above and beyond what we had anticipated and that the value of the course was superb for the cost. We're vegan and we were easily and thoughtfully accommodated which was very much appreciated. I've already booked to do the Mastering Mexican Salsas class when my mom comes to visit in a few weeks!

Bas Dopheide: Thank you Aura Cooking School for the amazing Street Tacos cooking class. Our instructor Gaby did a fantastic job teaching us more about Mexican ingredients, salsas and tortillas. The cooking studio is nice, cozy and well equipped and the tacos you prepare are outstanding. I highly recommend this place.

Dave Stockert: We just had the most wonderful private cooking class for 13 of us on our first trip to Mexico City. We toured the market, learned so much about the ingredients we would be using as well as traditional Mexican techniques, and tasted some delicious food (so come hungry). Then back to the well-appointed studio for a hands-on experience cooking a fabulous Mexican meal. Our chef instructors — Pame and Gaby — were an absolute delight. Highly recommend

Elin Lien: Very fun foodie experience - we did so much (street food sightseeing, market tour, cooking, drinking) in so little time, the hours really flew by. The food we made together was incredible, our chef kept the atmosphere fun and included everyone, and there were plenty of little surprises along the way. Thanks for a great experience, can’t wait to try to make these recipes at home!

Wanderers Compass Travel Blog: Huge park with gorgeous wide open grounds. Very clean and well kept. Lots of families enjoying their day here. Tons of food vendors. The castle on top is spectacular along with the views. Did not make it to museum but we have told often it is one of the best there is!

Gal Zigdon: Huge park and the castle is very cool, cost 85 pesos and the line was about 30 minutes wait time.. I didn’t understand much because everything is in Spanish, but cool art inside and cool things to see, also the view was amazing, over the city and trees and the park. Outside there are lots of ppl who sell everything, food to sunglasses. Enjoy.

Connor: Nice and clean place to chill at. It’s huge, twice the size of Central Park! Lots of cool spots to check out inside the park with tons of vendors along the way.

Oscar H. Fajardo: Great place to escape the city and the heat . Tree canopy is great for those hot days. Plenty of shade and activities to keep you hydrated and fed. Street performers and trinkets all round . Enjoy the museums and zoo in an around the park .

Alex Garcia: Very big and beautiful park. For tourists you can find an entire area full of vendors with cheap items. The line for the castle was long but it moves quickly. Be sure to wear your sneakers as it’s a long hike but you get a nice view of the city. Remember to carry 5 pesos for the restrooms.

Tyler Dixon: Huge park, lots to see. There are tons of vendors. Take a boat rental out on the lake, or see the castle. Lots of birds. Nice places to sit and have a snack or read. It is close to museums and other things so it's a nice detour if you want to get "out" of the city.

Zahar Varentsov: Another must visit parks. It huge and has many paths to take. The large castle at top gives a nice view of the Mexico City skyline. The stands around the park give someone this snack one while strolling.

Jamin Atkins: Wow…An amazing park with lots of local craft vendors, performers and well maintained nature sites. One of the things which most amazed me was how clean the bathrooms were given the size of the crowds on Sunday. If you are looking for a lazy day, this is the spot

Rachel Reinholm: All the way from Dallas, TX! Absolutely loved the park. Great zoo and it was free. Lots of walking - which is my favorite! There’s a big pond where you can paddle boat. Beautiful, well kept park!

Matthew Sena: This place was awesome. I’m a big history buff so seeing all the culture and fascinating. The walk up was enjoyable since the weather was perfect. I would definitely put this on your list of to-dos if you are visiting. Awesome photo spots. Was a little congested inside but I was also visiting during independence weekend. Enjoy!

Barezzito: what do users think?

Anastasiia Yosyfovych: The worst place I have ever been. DANGEROUS! Hookah was served extremely unsafe and I ended being burned by carbon as one man (presumably a bar employee) flipped the top of the hookah on me. Instead ask for apology and offer some medical help or a compensation the manager was rude. They are just pushing to buy things (not only a bottle to get a table, even their weird food!!) and don’t care how the customers gonna deal with them after. Never even think of have a party there. Waste of the time and money. Music was good actually. I wish to those singers to find a better place.

Jesse J Nunez: HORRIBLE!! My wife’s leg was burned and scarred by a hookah as they are serving them in unsafe way on the low little tables on the middle of the river of dancing people with out any protections. We requested a first aid kit from the staff who were not interested in helping. After the complaint they became rude and complete idiots. No apology, no tries to fix the situation. Just rudeness. It was our first time visiting this nasty place. They will play dumb saying you must order their gross sushi because they are technically a restaurant. The service was extremely slow. It’s a joke, they don’t even deserve 1 star. Don’t walk away from this nasty place, RUN AWAY!!

David J: Scam. Place was gross and smelt like sewer water. The service was horrible. The manager tried placing us into a back corner table when there was plenty of available seating in front of the stage (place was almost completely empty on a Friday at midnight). The table they sat us at was uncomfortable and extremely low to the ground and the chairs were more like stepping stools. The table was fit for two people, which didn’t bode well with my group of five people. We would have been better off just sitting on the ground. They then proceeded to create special rules for us by telling us we needed to purchase a bottle along with food in order to sit at a table when the tables around us had neither a bottle nor any food. We asked for an explanation as to why we needed to purchase both a bottle and food. The server fumbled and babbled his way through his completely ludicrous explanation. We could all see right through his lies. The ridiculous rules only applied to us. Bottom line, we ended up leaving without paying them a peso. Would not recommend this place to anyone who believes in honest establishments.

Alixe: Tried to come here with my friend for her birthday, we were just two girls but they wouldn’t let us in. They seem to hate foreigners so don’t even bother going there.

Philly Bee: Fun venue. Good live music. A tad on the expensive side, but worth it.

Abelito E. J.: Great service, nice and fun !

Kishore B: Great place to dance and meet people

EKO Méndez: It is really expensive, but if you have the money and the will to have a really good time you will enjoy every second there.Waiters are truly committed to the service and if you go with people that doesn't live in the country you will get a lot of discounts.

Gil: Good place, the dj is good, people was dancing and happy, service was also good and I belive is one of the best places around the area to dance and get drunk with tequila 😂 The band played good music and people sing along with them, I didn't knew many of the songs but they seem to be super popular here.

Lorena Villanueva: Worse place ever. Back in the 80's you could have a "chain guy" selecting who goes in and who doesn't. Now you have 10,000 other better options just in the area! Ugly place, ugly crowd, good live music though...

Cantina La 20 | El Ángel: what do users think?

Danielle Ruben: TOURISTS BEWARE! The food was okay, the service was mediocre, but they add an IVA tax line to the bill which does not match the prices on the menu. Per Mexico laws, the price listed on their menu is supposed to include this tax already. Some restaurants separate it on the bill but the total should be the same as the menu price. This was not the case. We noticed it and asked about it, since we'd never seen that on a bill before and we've eaten at dozens of restaurants in Mexico. They told us it was the tax, which is absolutely not legal. We decided not to cause a scene and just pay the total and consider the 16% tax as tip. They came by (before we paid) to inform us that the bill did not include a tip. Considering the lackluster service, we were only going to leave a 10% tip. At that point, we paid just a little over the bill and left. We did not know enough Spanish to fight it and just wanted to leave after 2 long hours with barely any service. Don't eat here. The food isn't good enough to be charged an extra scam "tax" and the service is bad. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants nearby that don't follow shady practices and have better service.

Javier Santiago: Good place for socialize over food and drinks. It is a bit pricey but hey you're on the main avenue of CDMX and can look El Angel across the street. Food is not rich. Come here if you want a good setting for chatting and hang out.

alexandra s: We had some drinks and some tacos, it is right infront of the angel of independence in mexico city. Very nice restaurant. The cocktails were amazing and the shrimp tacos are the best. We had shrimp tacos wich were our favorites, we had rib eye tacos and hotdog with lobster, very delicious. I totally recommend this place. Very very nice

Steven Montoya: Popped in for a quiet drink and was instead treated to a lively mariachi show and superb bartenders. This place has such a great vibe; people were celebrating various things across a few tables, getting up and dancing with strangers, and drinking deeply of fine spirits. Each of my three drinks featured mezcal, and my hats off to the bartenders here. If you're looking for a great place with great drinks, this is it.

Gaby Colin: Excellent service, bathrooms are clean. Great option for groups. There are plenty of option to drink. I love mexican food so this is a perfect place to try different dishes . I think there is not valet parking but you can parking at the mall Reforma 222. I recommended come!

Michael Gallagher: Walked by this place a few times with a friend I’m traveling with and liked the vibe from the exterior; decided to give it a go. Other tables had paper menus, but we were only given the option of using the electronic menus by scanning the QR code. The navigation on the menu site is atrocious and couldn’t figure out the drink options. My friend found one he liked, but the server tried to talk him out of it. I said I needed another minute to look, and the server stood there waiting - very uncomfortable. Apparently he didn’t like that I needed more time, because he called over another server, who proceeded to try and sell me on some other drink. I relented because I was just tired of the process by that point. Both of us were turned off by the experience so far, so we decided to just have the drinks and get food somewhere else. The server did not like that at all. After our drinks were delivered to the table, we were left alone with no service the rest of our time there. Took about 20 or 30 minutes just to get the check because our server wouldn’t even look in our direction - we had to ask someone else. The drinks that we did get were not even good. My drink just tasted like passion fruit juice… but had coriander seeds in it for some reason? Best part of the experience was the San Pellegrino after walking around the city for a while. Do not go to this restaurant.

Elina Valentina Frolova: Food and drinks were alright. The service was also okay in the beginning. But then when I had to pay, they were insisting that I put 20% tip. As a European, I found it very rude and unprofessional. I left 10% tip and the waiters started laughing while sarcastically saying thank you. I left humiliated

Michael Kessler: Excellent service and the food was great.

Jessica Amaro: Came Very highly recommended for my quick trip to mexico city. I had my good ye dinner there and we were very impressed. Everything was delicious and the service was exemplary. It was very quiet but we went ok a Monday night I could see the place being very lively later in the week.

Joaquin Villamar: Food is good, but not great. A bit pushy with drinks. Unfortunately the night I went there was not much activity. I will have to come back to see the nightlife

Pujol: what do users think?

Kaitlyn Fogarty: My husband and I are huge foodies and have traveled all over the world eating amazing food. This is our perspective of Pujol. I thought the service was fantastic, the space is beautiful, the food is beautiful, but I probably would not go back. I thought it was extremely expensive in comparison to other restaurants in Mexico, but I’m sure it is mainly because how renown this restaurant is. The dishes were not something I would normally pick off of a menu, but I felt they were all executed very well except I was disappointed in the tuna dish. I know the mole is very famous, but I think it would be better served with meat or something to put it on top of. It is very rich by itself or just with the tortillas they serve it with. I thought everything was very tasty, but this type of style is just not my favorite for a dining experience (very “cutesy” with ingredients you have to look up because you have no idea what they are). I was concerned about it being enough food, but we were definitely full when we left. I think some people love this type of restaurant, but it’s not my favorite style. That being said, I’m glad we went and had such a unique meal. I also want to add that I think chef Enrique Olvera is very talented and inventive.

Phillip Jares: The atmosphere was very nice and the staff were very prompt. We received the tasting menu and the waiter explained each dish served. A few things were very tasty. I do not like cilantro and one dish was very heavy with the flavor. My dining companion enjoyed it. Overall, I was very disappointed with most things served. At this price point I expected more.

Nha Ha: A great experience and excellent setting. There wasn’t a wine pairing when I went but they did offer what they thought would be a great drink to pair. I would opt to finish dessert in the patio if the weather is nice and it isn’t too busy. Food wasn’t mind blowing but it was tastefully done and had great flavor to it.

Melanie s: Solid 3.5. I had been looking forward to this meal for weeks but sad to say it did not meet my expectations - not even close. The space is gorgeous and the service was good, but the food simply did not impress. The dishes look nice but none of the dishes made me think, wow that was fantastic. And when the check came, I felt that the value didn't match the price paid whatsoever. I think it's clear they're taking advantage of the hype, and just don't care about the quality delivered. Maximo for instance was much tastier in my opinion and more reasonably priced. And honestly charging 200 pesos for a bottle of water is a scam. They can really do better for the prices they charge.

T Le: Came here with my husband because of the show Chef’s Table. It was a unique dining experience that you want to have once if you are visiting Mexico City! You can tell there was a lot of time and thought that was put into each dish which we appreciate. A+ for creativity! The service was flawless. Some reviews may say this place is overrated but if you like to indulge in fine dining, definitely give this place a try!! We booked our reservation 3 months ahead so make sure you pre-book before your trip!

Ceraun Loggins: This was worthy of the months wait and the price tag. Such a beautiful intimate dining experience. The flavors in the mouth was divine and you can tell how much thought and effort went into making this meal. The wine pairing is def what I would get because they were so divine and really highlighted the dishes. Standouts are the lobster Brussels sprout taco and the crab soup with crab empanada

Sunny Hirpara: This is my second Pujol experience and it simply always seems to impress. The ambiance to the service to the wine selection to the incredible food. We were blown away. I will admit I wasn’t a fan of the main fish dish but I always seem to not like 1 dish out of a tasting menu. Beyond that, everything was perfect. The chef even allowed us to come back into the kitchen and had the whole kitchen staff take a picture with us! So incredibly nice of them!

Caroline Shea: The only positive thing I have to say about Pujol is that the restaurant decor is aesthetically pleasing. I believe that it was once a fabulous restaurant as I know several people who had great things to say (none of whom have been in the past few years). I visited last week, on my first trip to Mexico City, after wanting to eat there for at least 6 or 7 years. The service was clunky and mediocre. Finding out about wine and even getting to look at a wine list was far more difficult than it should be. Not one dish we were served was delicious. Not one. There were elements of some that were good, but nothing I would like to eat again. The mole was the best thing, but serving it with only tortillas that are half odd-tasting leaf, half tortilla just wasn’t yummy. It’s rare that I take the time to write a restaurant review, but Pujol seems to be resting on the laurels of what it once was (and many dollars from tourists). There is absolutely no reason to spend $200-300/person at Pujol when some of our most delicious meals cost $45 for 3 people. Don’t waste your money!

Vee: Beautiful place, very sophisticated and modern. We did the tasting menu and were very full of delicious food by the end. Some portions were a little big, and I wasn't sold on the one weird foam/goo combo for dessert. (You get 3 desserts.) Could have used some substance and texture. And you really have to love and appreciate mole for one of the plates, which I guess I don't enough because it was like eating a plate of sauce. My date loved it though! There were some standout options as well. Everything is nicely presented and prompt. Service was impeccable and fast, and informative. The bar is not the best stocked but they have a decent choice of tequila, mezcal, and wines. Don't expect any fancy craft cocktails but they do the classics really well, and can tweak and twist them to your taste.

Kira Sea: Had a lovely dinner here. I got little tripped up by worlds 5th best restaurant since there is a higher expectation and food is subjective but overall, it was good. Loved the ant and the corn. Also really enjoyed the tortillas that had leaf since I didn’t get to try that anywhere else.

Zócalo: what do users think?

Julio Rico: I visited the Zocalo during the exposition of the Sistine Chapel. The main plaza looks incredible. It is a very well done experience. I definitely recommend going. The waiting line was like 20 minutes. If you take the time to read and admire all the art that takes part into this incredible audiovisual experience it will take you a little bit more than one hour. Photos and videos inside the Sistine Chapel Replica are strictly forbidden. If you don't want someone from security or the staff checking your photo gallery do not even have your cellphone or cameras in your hands. They are very serious about it.

Cem ERTEN: This is the place where you find the main cathedral in the city along with the archeological remains of the pyramids from the pre-Spaniard. It is unique with the colonial buildings and seeing how they actually sink and get damaged while sinking. There are plenty of things to see besides from the cathedral and the pyramid remains such as the presidential palace. It is very lively and leads to the pedestrian shopping street with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Anne W.: A place to see in Mexico city! Not a very good visibility the day we went as there were a lot of trucks... In preparation for a flower festival. We hired one of the bicycle taxi for a tour of the different landmarks of the city and we ended up paying the double of the price agreed as at the end, out of nowhere, he announced us the price was per person and not for the vehicle. Be careful!!

Juan Rangel: Cool place with tons of space. At night time it looks beautiful because the building lights change color. It’s probably best to come during the day if you want to see the architecture.

Keith Webb: A fascinating place, with such history - can't recommend visiting highly enough - the a subway station called Zocalo that takes you right here - so much easier that by road transport, as the Police shut the roads randomly, making access virtually impossible...

Solo Traveler: huge square but blocked off. surrounded by stunning cathedral and government buildings. lots of shops and restaurants around the area. very touristy but worth the visit. free wifi near the square, very considering.

Ben marcacci: Great spot to get some cleansing done… buy souvenirs, eat and drink. Hop on hop off bus is there too just go and explore

Kushal Brata Ghosh: Zocalo (Constitution Square) in the heart of Mexico city is one of the world's largest city squares. May be, the third latgest after Moscow's Red Square and China's Tiananmen Square in Beijing. It was one of the city's main market areas from the 14th century in addition to being a place of ritual and celebration. In the 1860s, Emperor Maximilian I banned merchants and created a Parisian-style park, with tree-lined walkways and benches. The vast square is surrounded by Government buildings, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Suprema Court, the presidential palace and even a recent discovery of Mayan pyramids . All these buildings are very old and you really get a sense of what the old colonial times must have been like. A majestically oversized Mexican flag dominates the plaza which is the place for concerts, performance art, large assemblies, national ceremonies and political protests. Sometimes security gets very tight due to theses happennings and one is advised to get there by metro rail, and disembark at Zocalo metro station during these times. There are also many museums including National Museum of Art, the Casa de los Azulejos (or 'House of Tiles'), stores and restaurants nearby. We have heard that in every December part of this square becomes a massive ice skating rink. While from the outside the building may look unimpressive but it is said that once you step inside you’re greeted by some of the most impressive murals on offer in Mexico City. We meet vendors, buskers and Aztec dancers there. Some of them were performing limpia espiritual, a practice with pre-Hispanic roots, cleansing persons by brushing their heads, legs and torso with plants, sprigs of rosemary and perfumes. During our stay in Mexico city we went there twice and once had tlacoyos at 'Tlacoyos La Blanca', a great Mexican street food eatery on a rainy evening. They served us hot Tlacoyos, one after another, which are basically eye-shaped discs of blue corn masa stuffed with pork, mexican cheese, mashed fava beans, and spinach drizzled with either hot red or mild green salsa. Wish I could have it again.

Eclipse Adventure Travels: Lots of history & culture here! Visited on a Saturday so traffic was fairly light. Worth visiting if ever visiting DF.

Glen Bermel: An amazing area with lots of history. Beautiful Presidential palace and parliament buildings. The national flag is impressive!

Amy Evans: Tlapique and CarnitasAmazing taste!! The tlapique was so soft & juicy 🤩How come I didn’t find out this place earlier 😍

Ptitsuisse: Hard to find (the entrance is just a closed curtain and there is no sign), but once inside it’s a great bar, with underground vibes and very good music. The mezcal selection is nice, though without knowing them you have to make a random choice between the names. They have a small selection of craft beer with even some Belgian ones. It gets very busy from 22h onwards.

Jessica L.: Good place and great mood. Beware that you are not allowed to take pictures inside. Also a bit hard to find but it's a black metal door and they have red velvet curtains. I would go back but I would say the service isn't top notch.

K W: Small, hole-in-the-wall dive bar. They ask that you don't take any photos while there, not sure why? Perhaps to maintain some level of mystery and intrigue. The drinks were cold and the food was good.. not much else to say!

Milton Mora: This place was suggested previously by another friend of mine, I don't remember exactly why it came recommended, but tonite we were looking for a relaxed place where we can try good mezcal, it definitely fulfilled it, the ambiance is quite intimate, and photos are not allowed, that makes it even an intimate feeling, it is worth it. At first place I thought it was a speak easy bar without music to disturb that feel, later we knew the sound equipment it was being fixed, therefore the mood was so chill. Mezcal is really good, and also the craft beers. You will not be disappointed having a stop here.

K.T. A. (kaskodil): Super nice place, quite hidden. You will find it on Luis Moya 37 next to the Mezcalería. The door was open, a huge black frame, behind it you find heavy red curtains. Inside photos are forbidden, phones seem to be okay. They have two classic beers, three artesinal ones and a broad spectrum of mezcals. Service was nice and friendly. Vibe was unique, a bit like Berlins bars once were. Seats were a bit uncomfortable. Prices for the beer are between 40 to 60$, the mezcals start at 110$. Come before 9 pm or you'll have a hard time sitting anywhere as it gets very crowded later on.

Java Acosta: Great little place in the city filled with a huge selection of mezcal (distilled beverage kind of like tequila) from all over México, awesome ambiance and great service!

Emily Anderson: This was a cool place. Pretty packed when we went at night. The afternoon wasn't as packed but still had a decent crowd. Love that the door is a curtain. Good for mezcal and beer. The bartenders were friendly, helpful and fast both times we went. The crowd was pretty diverse.

Jose Santos: Good food, great selection of mezcal, with a soundtrack and ambient that make it singular and a must visit. Service is as good.

Elena Itchel: They have a huge home mezcal menu, but the place is permanently dark. They don't have a physical menu or a QR. And photos aren't allowed, so the only way to explore the menu is by asking, but with so many options, you never remember the recommendations.

Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Mexico City: what do users think?

Megan Francis: While the staff is really friendly, and the location is perfect, there is a lot of the noise from the club across the street. Don't book this place if you're a light sleeper or like a cooler room. The AC would not go below 21°C/70°F (for some good won't matter). The rooms are also really small, and for some reason the housekeeper emptied our trashcan onto our open luggage. The staff were very apologetic, but it was really strange.

Fred Groen: Cozy hotel in a great location with a thoughtful team. Stayed for two nights as a family of three with a 17 month old and everyone went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant.

Beau D'Silva: Did a 3 night 4 day stay recently. The hotel is located in Polanco near plenty of restaurants and cafes that can be reached on foot. Believe the reviews that say how attentive the staff is. They accommodated our every need. We had trouble buying museum tickets to Casa Azul from the States . I reached out to the hotel a few days prior to our trip and they booked the tickets for us. They also organized transfer to the airport for us with an excellent driver. The hotel and room were clean and well maintained . Our trip also included a small but delicious continental breakfast that had fresh juice, coffee , fruit yogurt parfait , and a basket of fresh pastries. The room also included sodas , juices , water , and snacks that were included and restocked daily. I would recommend this place hands down over any of the big hotel names. Looking forward to coming back one day. Thank you to the staff and management for a wonderful stay!

Mary Chamberlin Cummings: My new favorite hotel. The location and amenities like complimentary continental room service are great but the care and poise of the staff is what takes it to the next level. Aaron the concierge went above and beyond on helping us with a shipping issue. Will definitely stay here again when visiting CDMX.Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5 …More

Julia Zaytseva: The location is perfect. The hotel is not big. Service is good. However, "smart" room device doesn't work properly. As example , if you go to restroom at night , the entire room lights up. Also, I tried to watch Netflix one night ,the picture doesn't load and maintenance service was not available in the weekend night: ( You cat't open the balcony. Communication with the stuff is not transparent. They say "yes" to all your requests such as refill q-tips or bring clean towels, but it doesn't mean it happens.

Nicole M: I just came here for a massage at the spa. It was phenomenal! Probably the best massage I've ever had, but surprisingly very affordable. There was a fancy shower in the room to use afterwards as well.

Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City: what do users think?

Diane L: Lovely lovely hotel, a real iconic hotel in Mexico City. Stunning property, beautiful rooms that face the courtyard. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff could have been a little more attentive but it was fine. The pool staff though were incredible. Very sweet very attentive like they deserve a bonus for how great they were. Very thing was explained well and you felt very welcomed. Lovely heated pool. Perfect escape from the city life.
Response: Dear Ms. Diane, Thank you very much for your comments and review, it helps us a lot to improve and to be able to provide the renowned Four Seasons Service. We hope we can welcome you again very soon!

Virginie Bilodeau: Hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed at. The place is magnificent, with a perfect balance between coziness and elegance. With the warm welcome and the fireplace, we felt at home the moment we step in. We received flawless customer service. The staff thought of everything and went above and beyond to make us feel special. The concierge gave us the best recommendations and had excellent follow-ups. If we needed anything, it was at our fingertips. Regarding location, the hotel is in a safe area within walking distance from Chapultapec Park. There is a lot of restaurants and tourist place nearby. The essential oil and the outdoor garden make the place very unique. December was an excellent month for our stay, as we could feel the holiday vibe and Christmas magic. Our visit was worth every penny, and the room service was also very prompt.
Response: Dear Ms. Bilodeau, Thank you very much for your comments and reviews, we are pleased to know you had a great time with us! We hope we can welcome you again very soon!

Erin D: Amazing hotel and they really went the extra mile as we were on honeymoon. Concierge was incredibly efficient and the pool staff in particular stood out as being very helpful. We did a brunch on New Year’s Day which was all you can eat, it was amazing. The bar was also lovely and everyone was so friendly. Very happy to have spent a few days here!
Response: Dear Mrs. Erin, Thank you very much for your comments and reviews, we are pleased to know you had a great time with us! We hope we can welcome you again on another occasion!

Luis Contreras: One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff is amazing and very accommodating, the room are beautiful and spacious and the room service is impeccable. This is all standard stuff for the four seasons. But the staff just made it even better. The outside fireplace is lights up the corridor at night. Very safe location with lots of foot traffic. I can not say enough about the staff they went above and beyond to make sure I got everything I needed. I will definetly be back to this location.

Warren DCosta: Overall it's a nice stay which you can expect from the Four Seasons. Comfortable, well-equipped room with the signature cloudlike Four Seasons bed. No balcony but you do get a window that overlooks the courtyard. Courtyard is pleasant to relax in and also has a bar and restaurant. Sometimes it's a little loud in the evening - Would stay again.
Response: Dear Mr. DCosta, Thank you very much for your comments and reviews, we really appreciate them and we really hope we can welcome you again on another occasion!

la. nskey: Well looked after, wonderful cocktails, clean rooms, perhaps a little dated for some but I feel that’s a charm. The courtyard is utterly beautiful with the verandas and luscious green flora. I very much enjoyed my stay.

Francisco Vallejo: Love this hotel - it really is a peaceful oasis in the middle of Mexico City’s chaos. Great rooms, food and service. Really recommend Fifty Mills. Management could do some work around the pool area, which is a bit outdated.
