Shabina Begum: I am super grateful to the dancing instructors for making me feel so welcome at the studio. The dancing made me feel more connected to this country and the classes enabled me to make some amazing friends and create a special community during my stay in Mexico 🇲🇽 I was also super grateful to the instructors for trying to accommodate the fact that I didn’t speak much Spanish. Towards the end however I found myself picking up Spanish phrases thanks to these dance classes, so in effect I learnt not only salsa and bachata but also some Espanol! Gracias ☺️

Alicia Desantis: First review I’ve ever posted in google, but wow I just have to: I was traveling from NYC and a beginner who thought to try out some classes — it turned out to be 8 weeks dancing with Marco and it’s hard to express how wonderful it’s been. I have improved wildly but really it’s the place and the people — excellent, warm and welcoming. I could not recommend it more highly. As someone else said here — if I could give more stars I would.

Andy Neary: Came here for a beginner salsa class while visiting Mexico City. Decent class but before the class started was told the classes were m$150 per person, afterwards we were told by the same person that they were m$250 per person!This was the only time I was ripped off during my 5 days in the city which was otherwise a fantastic experience colored by meeting many very nice people. Avoid this place if you are a tourist.

I am at my sixth class and can see huge progress since the first one. I would definitely recommend Marco as an instructor. He makes the lessons fun and light, but also pushes students where needed!

What confidence can they give, if with something so simple, they cannot give it well and they need to have you insured to give you the simple address

Carolina Tafoya: If your passion is dancing, JL DANCE S2DO is a very good school that trains you professionally and with very good teachers who are interested in making you grow as a dancer and have very complete and versatile training.
Cheli Cheli: It was a very unpleasant experience that my daughter lived there in her first class, where her emotional state was minimized by the "teachers". I would recommend that parents see other options before enrolling their children and then decide.

Nuria Martínez de la Lama Noriega: The Staff is very warm and very professional, they make you feel comfortable. The facilities are very nice, there is a very good atmosphere, in short, it is an Academy to meet and stay. The prices are affordable and the location is great. The only bad point is that the trees cover the announcement of the Academy.
Sofi Salcedo: A great place to learn no matter how old you are. Highly recommended.
SUKi 踊ってみた (Dance Cover): I paid for a "BEGINNER" course, they placed me with an already very advanced group and asked me to "copy" them when I had no idea about anything because I am a BEGINNER. A total lack of empathy on the part of the teacher and I was not the only one, two days after joining another girl who was just a beginner and the same situation, we were completely lost in a group that was even practicing with points.
Abiel Tapia: Prices are affordable the place is a little hidden, the teachers are very good. How reference is between a taqueria and an Oxxo

Erika Rocha: The academy is in a good place, however the instructors of the week are not very attentive, they want to take you out before the time and they waste your time, Andy is very attentive to the needs of his students.

The truth is that I had a great time, in the three months that I was attending, unfortunately I was no longer able to continue with my classes but I highly recommend it, very good teachers, a beautiful place, with an excellent view of the Palace of Fine Arts. Kevin Adame (OdaPevin): Excellent academy, I highly recommend it, since it has highly trained teachers with a lot of tolerance, the class is personalized, so you do not need to have any knowledge to enter. It has a great variety of rhythms and styles, it was where I learned and I am very happy with the results. From heart, I recommend this place for beginners. I especially thank teacher Jacqueline for having a lot of attitude and a vibe that spreads to everyone.

ISM Salsa Bachata: what do users think?
Tam Pham: ISM is the BEST place for travelers to learn how to dance and meet international friends. The makeup is half expats and half locals which is perfect for those who want to have that variety. They have an active dance schedule throughout the week along with frequent socials. The class sizes tend to run large so expect to learn lots of moves but for specific technicalities, I recommend to book a private with one of their local teachers. I’ve met some of my closest friends through ISM and I am forever grateful to Kentaro, the team, and the people who make up this amazing community. 🙏😊

Becky Olivares: I moved to CDMX recently and am a long-time salsa dancer. I was missing dancing soooo much given the pandemic. I was so happy to find Kentaro’s group and his salsa classes. Although the classes are geared toward beginners, he does throw in challenging choreography…the classes are always well-attended and people who attend are keen on learning which makes it enjoyable (even for a more experienced dancer). Everyone is quite friendly. I’ve attended at least 4 sessions so far and will keep doing so as long as they continue. Also, as you can see in the pics, we all wear masks 😷 in accordance with Mexico City requirements so people are protecting themselves and others. Kentaro is a great teacher, patient, upbeat and he’s a great dancer. 💃🏻🕺🏻💃🏻🕺🏻

Álvaro N: Kentaro has built a community where you can relax, connect with cool people and make friends while learning salsa and bachata. He teaches from a very basic level to intermediate and advanced. If you are new in Mexico City and want to learn how to dance while making new friends ISM Salsa Bachata is a must!
Jonathan Ng: My partner and I took a 5 day salsa challenge with Kentaro and were able to go from 0 to competency in majority of basic salsa moves! Kentaro even invited us to a salsa party where we tried our moves with more seasoned dancers. Kentaro was always on time and patient with us, with extremely reasonable rates. His sense of humour and lightheartedness made classes with him extremely enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone looking to try out salsa!
