monique bertran: Best experience ever. First of all it’s a very spacious and private studio, the staff is super cool and quickly makes you feel at home. Nev was my artist and he is a genius, from designing and perfecting my concept to the way he gracefully tattooed. He made me feel super comfortable and his calmness was contagious. I loved the atmosphere of support and respect among all the artists. 5 stars aren’t enough to describe them.
Ikeme Osi-Ogbu: Was in Mexico City for three days and a trip to Nomad was a priority for my short visit. The staff was amazing and Rubén is a genius with the ink. He worked with me on refining my simple design and was able to translate my vision into two amazing tattoos. Aside from the inking I was also able to get some great recommendations from everyone on things to do and see in CDMX. Will definitely be returning !!
Hongsheng Chen: I finished two tattoos today. The experience was comfortable and relaxing in this clean and spacious studio. The tattoos are pretty amazing than I expected, from professional artist Javier. Nomad would be my first choice for marking an experience in Mexico. Thank you guys so much!
Kwannabe Famous: What a gem of a tattoo parlor. 1. Parlor is clean and has lots of space and light. 2. Staff and artists are amazing and fun. They are pretty diverse and international. 3. My artist, Sia, worked with me on my concept and made all the adjustments until I was happy. 4. Eduardo, the manager, helped me with the intake process and matched me up with an artist that met my needs. The vibe is totally awesome. I enjoyed my 10 hours (!!!) there. Just look at the artwork and you know that you’ll come out proud and happy with your tattoo. 10/10 recommend.

smiina j: from start to finish i couldn’t be more happy about my experience with nomad. they replied quickly to my enquiry and was able to get an appointment with short notice that suited my specific dates in cdmx. the staff makes you feel at home as soon as you enter their very spacious and clean studio. felt super comfortable working with my tattoo artist javo and with the receptionist who helped us communicate better with translating (so sorry i can’t remember your name!!), loved the attention to detail javo put into my tattoo and the time he took to evaluate his work to perfect it. would 100% recommend nomad and would give them more than 5 starts if possible. absolutely love my tattoo and would definitely be back with more time and money once back in mexico city. muchísimas gracias amigos xx

Emily Kadanec: Great place for a tattoo! The artists were very professional, kind and attentive. They were always checking to make sure I was comfortable, which I really appreciated. The art work is phenomenal, the tattoo turned out better than I even imagined. The shop is extremely clean and they use every safety and hygiene measure to ensure a good experience. I will definitely be returning. They were also very kind in speaking English with me, as I only know very basic Spanish, which made me feel very comfortable. Thank you guys for everything!

Janiz Suarez: Since I wrote to them on WhatsApp, super friendly and cool, they received me in one, I arrived with the idea of 2 designs of my puppies and they are super friendly in terms of recommendations so that everything looks super cool, taking care of every detail asking me if I was in agreement. Ok, if I liked the ideas etc. Kevin who was my friendly, professional, respectful and friendly tattoo artist. Very clean facilities, they show you your needle which is sealed and new. I am delighted with the results, I will definitely return and it will be my favorite tattoo studio.

Antonio villanueva: For many years I wanted a tattoo of the fellowship of the ring, there were too many places I visited and nothing convinced me. One day I found Dagga, I made an appointment on WhatsApp, María immediately answered and attended to me, 5 minutes later Javi received me, and it only took a few minutes for him to understand what I wanted, and he also knows Tolkien perfectly. The next day he showed me an excellent design. I must say that once the tattoo was finished it exceeded my expectations, but…. As the days passed and the skin healed, I could see that it is wonderful, the lines, shadows, details, geometry are incredible Thank you Javi, Maria and everyone at Dagga!

Xy Xy: Worst tattoo studio ever. We’ve come here to get a small fineline tattoo for me and some improvement on a tattoo from my friend. The hand of the tattoo artist was so shaky and the quality of the tattoo is poor. Even the small improvements on my friends tattoo (some extra dots on a very tiny tattoo) was bad. For this few dots they charged a full price at the end, saying it’s the minimum. But on my tattoo the minimum was even higher so I doubt there is a minimum. It’s only ripping tourists at this shop. I’ld highly recommend you not going to this place. Service: Tattoos
Richard Lui: Got my first tattoo here and they were all super professional and took their time to consult how I wanted my tattoo. Everything is super clean and the tattoo turned out perfectly how I wanted it. The lines were super straight and linear - I highly recommended this place.
Joe Moon: I have had the pleasure of having serval piercings and dermal work done by a woman who workers there over the years during my stays in Mexico City her name is Jackye and goes by "Jackye Blood" her work is top notch and she takes lots of pride in her work but just by practice but by certified training, she always answers my questions with no hesitation and does awesome follow ups I have yet to have any problems with her work and recommend her to all my acquaintances who visit the city.

The owners/artists at Octattoo are incredibly kind, gracious people. I do not speak much Spanish, but this was not an issue at all. Was able to get ever set up beforehand through messenger on the google business page. Extremely happy with the end result, really great artwork at a really reasonable price.

David Torres: I do not recommend anything, I regret a lot of having tattooed in this place, I gave them my design and they did not do it well the only thing they had to do was trace. my design had two ears and they made it one. It is a pity that for some tattooists it is like going to the hairdresser and do not see that people who get tattoos have a deep meaning to these people do not care, part that you are in this place to talk and show off. I share the design and the tattoo, the tattoo is missing the left ear.

Carlos Vega Barrera: Totally happy with the treatment and the results. Eyebrow piercing: totally fast and practically painless. New fully sealed catheter. Part and area to be drilled disinfected. Tattoo: Totally professional, the artist introduced himself before starting, we reviewed the image to accommodate it as best as possible in the area where it would be done, he gave me proposals and likewise respected my decisions at all times, he showed me needles to use fully sealed as well as its expiration date; Gloves were used at all times during the process and the area was completely clean. The place is very hygienic and the treatment both by messages and in person was excellent, friendly and courteous. For each procedure that I requested, they gave me instructions and care recommendations. I have nothing else to say about the result other than that it is a quality job that is totally worth what it costs. If you are looking for quality and safety, I totally recommend this place.

Carmen G: I’ll echo what others have said in previous reviews: Estudio 184 knows their reputation as a tourist trap and act as such. Don’t come here if you have your heart set on a particular artist, if you have a strict budget/schedule, or if you aren’t willing to be taken advantage of. Each artist sets their own prices, and at the end of the day, you can show up for an appointment with person A who quoted you $100 dollars, show up, and be told that person A is “sick” and person B is the ONLY person available during your schedule who can do your tattoo—and oh yeah, person B now wants $250. But wait, there’s more. Post-tattoo the total is actually $300 because they find out you’re from out of the country. Get over yourselves. Service: Tattoos
Otso Smestad: They were able to fit me in within a couple of days, but the tattoo was overpriced, and did not turn out very well. A lot of the lines are not consistent, some being way too thick and some not being straight or precise. I also feel the artist went way too deep in areas. Wouldn’t go again. 👎
Bhakti Kilzer: Beware of the fraud when you leave your deposit. Condition cannot be read on the ticket they give you. They request you do full payment before you do your tattoo. Never heard of this before. Be very carefull!
Hugo Guerra: Positive: QualityCame to CDMX for a work trip and wanted a souvenir. So i last minute came to get a small tattoo. Price was moderate. But the artist (Victor) did such a clean job. Quality experience and work!
Pete McFeely: A bit more expensive then other places in the city. But very clean and friendly! Manger was great and helped us find an artist who was in our price range and who did excellent work!
Maritza Rios: This place was a disaster. The first time my husband went they made him wait 2 hrs for his appointment. Then they did not finish his tattoo. Then he had a new appointment and they canceled it because the artist was sick. When he went the next day, they said they were closing early and once again were not able to complete what he wanted and overcharged him for a piece that was supposed to be completed during the first session. They are very unprofessional and unreliable. I would not go here to get a tattoo. I would not book with Brenda Fascinetto she is not professional and will leave your work undone because she wants a to leave. The management here sucks too!!

Jackie Nguyen: Visited in July 2022 for a small tattoo. The people at this shop were very friendly, but they took me to their sister shop (same name?) and ended up double charging me for my tattoo with two different transactions. I was in contact trying to get a refund and a receipt for months, but they eventually stopped replying to me. For future patrons, pay in cash!
