Mia Ben-Sira: My boyfriend and I were walking around the city, not even looking for a barbershop but then we stumbled upon the strand. My boyfriend was in the need for a haircut in general while we were on our trip in Mexico City and was feeling courageous so we went inside. The people who work there welcomed us very kindly while we waited (since we didn’t book a haircut). The barber was extremely professional and gave special attention to details, and managed to understand what my boyfriend had asked even without speaking the same language. It was hands down the best haircut my boyfriend had ever gotten. Would definitely recommend! Service: Haircut

Whilst there, I ended up getting a manicure and gel French tip as they do nails as well. We were both so happy! Really good price for the nails, the lady was lovely and she did a perfect job, exactly what I asked for despite language barrier. His hair cut was amazing and his beard looks fresh. Niall Pereira: This was the best haircut I’ve had in any country. Freddy is a master of his craft. He spent a lot of time on my haircut. He was meticulous and detailed. And the language barrier was no problem at all. There are people at the front desk that can help translate, but it wasn’t necessary because Freddy is so talented and picks up with English hair cutting lingo. Definitely worth the price. Highly recommend.

Oliver Dunn: I love this spot. The low ceilings and the warm owner offering a cold bottle of beer are a perfect start. Freddy and Jordan are such nice guys, easy to talk to (in Spanish) and always have great music playing. I chose Freddy the first time I went so I try to be loyal, but I’m sure Jordan does as good of a job. It is a great haircut, they pay attention to details and I will continue to make this my go-to spot.

Rafael: This is probably one of the best barbershops out here in Mexico City, staff treat you like a king in every aspect, at first they offer you a bottle of water or a coffee and at the end they give a little massage, haircuts are perfect, barbers are bilingual so you don’t have to worry about that, anyways I’ve never posted a review since I started coming here for the past two years but if you expect nothing but a high quality treat and get the haircut you want you gotta come here.
Jesus Villalobos: This place was great. Went for a quick haircut and beard trim and came out looking and feeling fresh after. Juan took care of me but all were very good and professional. Highly exceeded my expectations, if you’re from out of town definitely recommend visiting

Mr. Nelson Herrera: $500 for a "full service cut" that includes a cheap dark nose wax, and a fart vapor "with a total service duration of less than 20 minutes. Tremendous abuse. The treatment is good and what to expect for 500 pesos up to a I almost kiss on the forehead. I pay 200 to 400 normally and the attention lasts up to 45 minutes to 1 hour. I feel cheated.

Chanelle Soncini: Whilst in Mexico City I went to Bullet to have my greys colored. (I’ve been 70% grey for 10 years and color every month - 6 weeks if I push it). Their confidence lead me to believe Id be satisfied with the outcome. I mean when we were done, from the surface - without inspecting my hair - since I felt I could trust their service, I was happy. You can see the hair is decent. Not amazing but acceptable. HOWEVER, 2 DAYS LATER upon further inspection at a shoot (awkward) I was made aware that in fact the job had been poorly executed and I’d been left with grey areas. This is not what I expect. They were then reluctant to accommodate me in fixing THEIR sad attempt and I was forced to go elsewhere as I needed to have my hair sorted asap. The owner is a nice guy so I was actually shocked that I experienced this response from him over IG.
Response: We couldn’t accommodate you because we had no water in the premises due to a failure at the shopping mall and the next day we were fully booked and because your service was done as a collaboration/free we can not give you preference over paying clients. You are also a nice girl very cool and happy so it shocks me that you are leaving a bad review after getting a service for free.

The attention to detail was clear to see. I’m going to have to fly back from Tulum especially to go back to her 😹. It’s taken me 6 years to find a stylist as good as my London hairdresser. He was gentle with my relatively fine hair, adding in some great Mucota products to make the color treated areas much healthier. We spoke mostly Spanish but he speaks great English too. Koen Van Der Wielen: A profesional and high quality barbershop. The atmosphere in this barbershop was very relaxed and fancy at the same time. The barbers were super polite and clean. There is a tattoo shop and a skincare/wellness too. They clean your face and much more if you like. I am happy with my haircut. The few pesos you pay more for the experience are absolutely worth it.

CaballoNegroII: A place of classic scent but modern service. I mean the quick and complete hair service you will find it here and with all certainty this is the real barber shop in an era on which many believe this kind of places are lost, true "peluquerias" as Carreon is the best experience. Every hair cutter is an expert and some persons make reservation with each of the three masters: Alberto, Alex or Don Felipe. The hair cut is always in place and each of the experts know each of the customers desires and hair forms. You can pay with credit car and place is always clean. Be aware of parking meters.

Francisco De la torre: The Carreon hairdresser is the place for you to cut your hair, I have known him since I was born, my grandfather took us there to the haircut, then my father and now I go, super good work month by month and if you cut the hair with the SR: Alberto (haircut and beard of gentlemen and children) better yet, Felipe also cuts it well he is dedicated to the haircut of the elderly. I highly recommend it, plus the haircut costs $ 200.00, not bad at all

Corey Matthews: I was traveling through Mexico City and needed a beard trim and haircut. After my last barber service which didn’t go too well, I was nervous. However, all staff are bilingual which makes it so much more helpful as someone who doesn’t speak Spanish. The barber went through my request and clarified exactly what I wanted and delivered exactly that. I got a great skin fade, beard trimmed and a wash as well. Totally worth it and the price is very reasonable for the service and attention to detail. Highly recommend this barbershop, especially if you’re a foreign who doesn’t speak the local language. Cris Lans: I’ve been here before and had a good experience. Today though the oil they used smelled rancid and sweet like fermented chewing gum. I walked into the bathroom to find half my mustache shaved off. I’m on my way home to shave off my beard for the first time in a year.

moii b: The best place to pamper yourself if you are a man. It is my favorite place par excellence and a must in my life routine. Although the place is not cheap, the excellence in attention is very good from the barbers and the staff in general. I had a bad experience a long time ago and they knew how to handle it. I can recommend Elizabeth in foot treatment who takes great care in giving her best smile and providing an excellent service that lasts approximately 1 hour. In barbershop I can recommend Ludovic, he has an excellent technique, he is very nice, he teaches you how to comb and master the look as well as how to shape it so that it adapts as it grows. They have some details when it comes to confirming appointments and at the reception like any other place, but nothing serious.

Andrew Riesenberger: I live in Denver and was visiting Mexico City for a few days. I cannot get a decent cut in CO so I decided to give this place a shot based on where I was staying and the solid reviews. I must’ve walked right in when they opened because they sat me immediately. My Spanish is terrible but they had someone who could understand what I wanted: a simple medium fade starting with a 1 and round out the back, take about 4cm off the top. The lady who cut my hair was giving instruction to a student barber and was explaining everything very meticulously and thoroughly and doing great work. When it was all done I was extremely happy with the result. This is the best haircut I’ve gotten in years. Even with a generous tip it was still cheaper than many of the shops that are around me in Colorado. If you’re in town and need a cut, I highly recommend this spot. Service: Haircut
