Hookahs Cave: what do users think?

Mohammed Guiga: Owners were very welcoming and helpful. We ordered the tabbouli, falafel, chicken couscous, cauliflower, and arayes. Will come again! One of the best arab / middle eastern restaurants in Mexico City. Dietary restrictions: Halal
Response: Thank you Mohammed! We´re glad to hear that. Please come back. It will be a pleasure.

Saif Haobsh: Great food! Amazing hospitality! Authentic flavors.

Monique Castilla: We really enjoyed the place! A real new gem in the area. Food quality and price are very good! Is a new place with a great team! The partners are great hosts (strange but great combination team from palestine, russia and mexico), we could share some time with them and are very friendly, offering all the best they have and really they make you feel like a family member! Hookah quality flavours and home plum liquor excellent! Gladly to comeback in our next visit to Mexico!

Peter Saenko: Great place! Excellent food, very friendly staff. Will be back soon for Turkish coffee and shisha!
Response: Dear Peter! Thank you very much and see you soon in Hookahs Cave for more delicious shawarma, aromatic Turkish coffee and an extraordinary shisha experience!

Mariah Ruiz: Hookahs Cave, is a small and intimate place. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they seek to create the best experience from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, they make you feel at home, the passion to achieve training is noticeable. endearing ties with their diners and create new stories. The food is very fresh and has innovative twists to traditional Arabic and Mediterranean food, it is food with heart. They have hookas, the molasses are of different flavors, they can put fruits and herbs, to create personalized flavors and the best thing is that they have new mouthpieces for each participant. The tea is very fresh and really locks in the flavors throughout the brewing time.
Response: Mariah, our ears and hearts are filled with happiness upon receiving such an exquisite and high evaluation, thank you so much for expressing yourself in this way about us. We are very happy to know that you leave with the expectation of experience that we want for all our travelers. Please come back soon, we will be waiting for you with open arms.

Biby Lala: Very good Algerian-Palestinian restaurant. Super friendly people. We were welcomed like kings. We ordered couscous (vegetarian and kebab)! I recommend both 100% For dessert we tasted Arabic cakes. A delight!! Go for it!!! You will not be disappointed !

Antony Jackson: By far the worst curry i have ever eaten! I would never normally write these but this was so bad. I counted the meat in my order, i had 3 pieces. The curry itself was so small and bore no resemblance at all to the Curry name. Tasteless slosh. For some strange reason the rice was full of Brocoli, Sweetcorn and other veg when all i order was plain rice. The garlic naan bread was also inedible. Rock hard pieces garlic that actually hurt your teeth to eat. How they even managed to get them so hard is a mystery. The order was also so small and resembled a microwave meal, a kids one. In summary if you have ever eaten a curry and know what it should taste like, DO NOT ORDER HERE. You will be devastated. Very very weird dish.

Alejandro Gonzalez: Great place to have dinner. a bit expensive but worth it. Highly recommended for authentic Indian food. I did not give 5 stars because the food is not as spicy as expected.Food: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Tobias Harris: As a seasoned tandoori eater from the UK. I will admit, this is nothing on the Balti triangle of Birmingham. However, this was very tasty, I have taken the WhatsApp number for the restaurant and will be ordering from here again! A very nice atmosphere in the restaurant, with excellent service from the waiters. Overall a very positive experience, thank you Tandoor

L Jazz: This place is amazing, fully recommended. Tasty, varied Indian food, the best in Mexico. Venue is quiet, clean and they adapted well to the pandemic as everything is covered, disinfected and controlled.

Monica Rivera: The venue was clean, cozy, good music (not loud at all), the TVs were off, so the ambience was perfect. Delicious food! As always I recommend the rice, curries, tikka masala, butter nans, and of course the samosas as appetizers. The dessert (milk with cardamom) was great too. Unfortunately there were no bar to prepare cocktails but the wine selection was pretty good and accesible price-wise. Service was excellent, friendly, attentive, fast, and not pushy at all. Valet parking available. Flavors and prices were the same as the original branch in Condesa but it was great to have a venue in the southern area of Mexico City. A must for Indian food lovers for sure!

Vyas Narayan: Nice Asian/ Indian restuarant in Mexico City. Good tasty food :), lot of options, great services. If you wanted to have spicy Indian food, this is the place for you.Not that expensive!

Raghav Govind Jha: Had a biryani for take out. The staff were very friendly and the food was good. It was fresh and served hot. They also deliver to close-by areas, and you can order via WhatsApp. Definitely worth a visit if you are in and around San Angel area!

Alan Ibarra S.: Great Indian food. Butter chicken and garlic Naan was delicious

Lena Mendoza: Coming from a Moroccan, this place is incredible! The food is very close to being 100% authentic. It was fresh, and full of flavor. All the right spices. The Mint Tea was also deliciously sweet. The staff was friendly, and it is very beautiful inside with all the Moroccan decor. I felt like I was in Morocco again! Definitely recommend if you want to try Moroccan food or miss Moroccan food.

Reginald Williams: Without a doubt, a first class experience. Not only was our food superb, but contrary to the disappointment expressed by some reviewers, the service received was exemplary. The lamb in our lamb tajine was so tender the meat was falling off the bone and our bastello (a lovely pastry) was divine and a perfect compliment to the tajine. Even though the place was packed our sever, Malik, returned to our table numerous times to check on us and make sure everything was alright. He was also patient and kind, taking time to explain our dishes and to explain some of the differences in Moroccan and Algerian food. When in Mexico City we’ll be back.

Gerardo Benitez: Incredible experience. Food is delicious and the owner and wife super charming. We will definitely return

Maryam Sicard: The best arabic food around. “Bastella” and “Mint tea” are a must.

Alan Garcíæ: Delicious! A very charming, such a good option to try northern African food. 👌🏻

mahmoud abdo: Such a great cook and super friendly person. Loved mr husein! Mahmoud from Egypt 🤩

Fede Casas: I just love this place. Don’t be fooled by bad interior design or even if there are just a few people eating there. The food is amazing and you won’t regret it. The lamb couscous is perfect, you’ll also love the Bastela and the tea is perfect to enjoy it all.

Fawad Ansari: Beautiful restaurant. Food was delicious and authentic. They have halal options, but you have to tell them that you want halal at the time of ordering. Will be going here again!

Berfin Karaman: Worst palak paneer that i had in awhile. Seasoning was not great and it tasted like melted cheese with spinach. I only gave 2 because of the interior design and the sides were decent.

Akhil Bahl: Unfortunately we were really disappointed with the taste and portions. We had a hard time ordering the food since the waiters only understand dishes by numbers and do not know the actual dishes. The portions were quite small too and nan were dry. We ordered non spicy food for our toddler and repeated at least 5 times that it should not be spicy but they bring out spicy tandoori chicken. We requested for a replacement order and the waiter when asked 15 mins later for an update said they forgot. In b/w never had Indian/Pakistani pickle in Shahi paneer.

Clelia P.: The place has a nice atmosphere, but the food is very far from authentic Indian food. It was tasty but we didn’t have anything near to what we expected….and we’ve been in India many times…

Paola Campos: I always take my Colleagues that live in India (that are Vegetarian) when visit CDMX to Tandoor Anzures and they said the food has a great taste. As they stayed for more than a week we had the chance to visit different Indian Restaurants in Mexico City and This Tandoor gets the better score. Place might be expensive but worth it. My favorite tandoori chicken, Nan and Palak paneer.

Raamesh Keerthi: I was expecting to have Indian vegetarian cuisines but this restaurant is having only limited vegetarian options. My friends ordered Tandoori and they liked it. I have ordered Vegetable briyani but they served vegetable pulav. The pulav taste was bad and I didn’t like it.

Faisal Ahmed: I am Bangladeshi. So, I visited this place to have some Bangladeshi food. The food was okay, not so exciting. The taste of all the items were one dimensional. Anyway, I ordered two alo parata for parcel. I wanted to have these for dinner. But when I opened the box in my hotel, it was half eaten khichuri of someone else. This is pathetic. I hope they will improve the taste of their food and remember what customers are ordering. Otherwise many customers might have to starve like me.

Kadar Rebeka: The food doesn’t taste like Indian food, the garlic naan feels like it has stones on it, curry is very oily and the mango lassi tasted a bit bad. Also music is too loud (Spanish not Indian).

Kunal Biswas: Decent options for Indian cuisine and taste is okay.Vegetarian options: Lot of themFood: 3/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Brennan Vargas: I love this place. The service is an A+ and the food is delicious and fresh. I eat here at least once a week. Big fan of the Punjabi Chole (Chickpea Curry) & Balti Gosht (Mutton Dish) with Kashmiri Rice. I honestly hate Rappi, so its nice that you can also order by phone and they can bring a credit card terminal (just make sure to ask). Highly recommended.

Pat Lanouette: This place is amazing. The food was excellent and so flavourful. It definitely satisfied my craving for Indian food while being away from home! Highly recommend!

Luis García: This was my first time in Curry & Kabab and it was a great experience, that I will definitely repeat. The food was tasty and they have a great client service.

E v: The food was okay for the taste! But I asked if mine was spicy and she said No (for me it ruines the taste because I cant handle it) and my boyfriend asked extra spicy. In the end mine was more spicy…. And, portions are relatively small for the price in my opinion.

Aaron Miller: This was a great recommendation I received from someone, and probably the best middle eastern food I’ve eaten. After we were seated and given the menu, we realized they were serving from the brunch menu, which didn’t have any of the foods we were craving. As we were about to leave, the manager encouraged us to stay and offered us the main menu. I ordered a variety of plates; vegetable, hummus, and falafel. My husband ordered a chicken and rice dish. The food was beyond fresh, excellent quality, flavorful, and simply delicious. The staff were more than gracious and provided excellent service. Kudos to the manager, who was eating lunch when we were leaving and went out of his way to speak with us. If you’re considering this restaurant, make it a must to dine at

Tanja Swinkels: We really enjoyed our food here after a long walk around the neighbourhood. We ordered tabouleh (okay but with a lot of big coriander parts) and falafel (so good!!). You get endless amount of pita bread :) Would recommend to eat here, especially with friends. That way you can order several dishes and share. On the pricey side.

roma mangwani: First time at this place, on Tuesday rainy evening.. we went here for early dinner. Ordered hummus, falafel plate, taboulleh salad, empañadas of Spinach. The falafel were good in taste, the hummus was little dry but the taste was good with the pita balloon bread. I did not enjoy the empañadas because it was oily and lacked taste. The salad was good and flavourful. Good ambience and great staff too...

Stephania R: Fantastic food and fantastic service!!! This is definitely my favourite Lebanese restaurant in CDMX! The food is very good and tasty and fresh! It’s a nice little restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating! The menu has lots of options and the prices are fair for what you get. If your in the mood for Lebanese food this is the restaurant to come too!!!

Vaya Talia: The best humus and salad! Very nice owner. Will be back.

Clay Perreault: Lamb filet, fish in tomato sauce with rice. Both excellent. Nice wine selection as well, a Beaujolais Village topped it off. Service great. Highly recommended.

jean sibley: Enjoyed many delectable dishes here, including lamb chops, beef tacos, veggie and beef empanadas, cauliflower-zucchini-eggplants chips. The servers are attentive and welcoming. Beautiful setting along Avenida Amsterdam.

Daniela Ruenes: Amazing venue! Very good attention from the staff, amazing home made Lebanese food, and great ambiance! Definitely a most to try! Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options (like labneh or Tabbouleh) or even vegan (Hummus). Kid-friendliness: Family friendly Wheelchair accessibility: First floor restaurant, not stairs and plenty of space for wheelchair.

Patrick Larvie: Outstanding food, even for vegetarians. Friendly service and a very pleasant environment. Desserts are a special treat.

Nicole Hi: Excellent service, very polite and aware at all times. Taste is good too :)

Shailesh Kamat: Nice ambience, good Indian vibe.. Food has a bit of Bangla flavour.. but any person from Indian sub continent can go there, for a good meal.. The sweet dishes are the best.. as Bangla is known for its sweet dishes...

lolo j: quite a disappoint experience for take out this meal was close to $600pesos and such small portions. we would imagine the currys would come with rice as there is no plain rice selection on the menu but all the dishes were appetizer size. taste wise, nothing really hit home, quite average, and the spicy lamb was way too spicy, hard to ingest. overall especially disappointed in how little the take outs were compared to how much it costs.

Suchismita Saha: Excellent service. Tried the chicken curry and paratha. Was craving for indian food so gave this restaurant a try. Nice ambiance and overall had a good experience.

Bill Oen: Kabab gave us the WORST Indian food we’ve ever tasted. We threw most of it away. The Butter Chicken tasted like soap. The Chicken Biryani was horrible. Even the nan and the samosas were horrible.

SyedNizar Sj: very bad food and no good cook. Biriyani will be like tomato rice , the rice they dont use basmati at all. all curries will be very high spicy even after we inform.

Ricardo Alejandre n estrada: This food does taste like Indian food excellent and better than the rest. Naan is correct. Rice is from India although it appears large.

Khamouch Rachid: Delicious food with lots of strong spices, the service was good, and the place is quiet.Food: 4/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Usman Manzer: Amazing experience. Felt like a slice of Bollywood in Mexico City. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the ambience was spectacular. Not to mention their flavorful dishes.

Aditi Gupta: Worst Indian food. We tried daal makhani, naan & roti, but all items were not good in taste.

メリケンサック後藤: This was not the Indian curry I imagined. Nan was very thin and doesn’t taste good. The butter chicken curry was too oily, and doesn’t taste good too. Also, the price is too high for the quality.

Don Kebab Condesa: what do users think?

Heather Hyde De Landin: We just had two of their Don kebab sandwiches, and while we are pretty certain the meat was beef, the quality was terrible. Really hoping I’m not sick in a few hours (my husband only had two bites before throwing it out). The only positive thing we have to say is that the order was accepted a few minutes before they closed and the Uber eats driver got it to us pretty quickly.

Zederick Vargas: Quiet good and cheap

Sebastián Medrano: Great foos!

Osvaldo Lopez: The places to eat clean and very nice

Corleone Mata Losano: The food is delicious and the sauces are very good. It is a food truck that is not fixed. It is only set at night from 7 onwards. They are not worn daily. But it is an excellent option to dine something different and tasty.

Elisha Ce: The meat is pork, people with allergies or with a religion that prohibits it, it seems inappropriate that they do not describe the origin of the meat, it is dangerous and unethical, especially when the kebab, being an Arab food, is not prepared with pork

Julio Juarez: I liked the dishes very well cared for

Leonardo Macías: Good portions, good taste, highly recommended!

J.R. Gomez: Terrible quality and taste for the cost. The Falafel burned on the inside and the Döner Kebab tasteless, both in pita bread that crumbles to the touch and accompanied by a few tiny strips of lettuce. The sauces tasteless and diluted. The supposed "Middle Eastern" food of this place is not recommended.

Soumya Sarkar: The second Indian restaurant I visited in Mexico City after The Royal India. This restaurant price is on cheaper side than The Royal India. Atmosphere and arrangements are good but not as good as the other one. Food quality and taste wise not bad.. You can give it a try.. Most of the popular Indian dishes are available...
Response: We greatly appreciate your valuable feedback.

Kirit Patel: Wonderful Indian cuisine in Polanco, Mexican City. We had a pleasure of visiting the restaurant twice in 3 days! The owner Atek is very helpful and pleasant. The food is delicious and service excellent. Highly recommended if you are looking for delicious Asian Indian dish.
Response: Thank you! Your comments are very important to us.

Response: We are glad to know that we were within your expectations, we are waiting for you again!

Destiny Ameen: 10/10 really great service and kind owners. The food is authentic and delicious!
Response: Thanks a lot

Aurorita Lamaslinda: Delicious and affordable. Service is excellent. I would give it five stars if they had better dessert selection. But overall very good.
Response: We appreciate your feedback! We will take it into account.

aditya durga: Absolutely loved the food over here. The chai (tea) over here is absolutely authentic and you can have it along with condiments like ginger, cardamom, etc. Absolutely amazing. You can ask for your food to be spicier if you are into that, they do understand your requests. The naans were pretty soft over here. I tried chicken masala over here - the chicken is soft and the curry is very delicious. I would really suggest this to anybody who is craving for some Indian Food.

Adityavardhan Shah: The food was extremely good and hospitality was excellent. Reminded me of home
Response: Thank you!

Nick S: A very average local Indian restaurant. I assume the abundance of excited reviews was due to incentives they offered to reviewers. The lamb masala was OK but the rice dishes were quite dry, sweet and very spicy. The naan bread was not how it should taste. They do not offer any alcohol. Unfortunately, other beverages were limited too. There was no tea (other than a very sweet "chai" with milk) or coffee of any kind. The ambience and pricing were not exciting. We will not come back.

Response: Thank you very much Angel! Your comments motivate us to keep improving!

Jonathan Zavala: Tasty kebabs at a great price and very friendly staff. I would definitely come back.

Sebastian Mihai Prisacariu: The only good thing about their kebabs was the meat. The whole thing was very dry, no sauces, the bread was quite dry. Overall a bad experience, especially at this price point. We had the Cordero Durum and Doner. Both were dry and had no sauce. The Doner was a just a little less dry, but was tiny.
Response: Hi Sebastian. What kebab did you have? We would like understand what we are doing wrong for you. Thanks.

Cristian Nava Diaz: Kebabnation is a pretty small place with just space for a couple of tables. I have tried Turkish food before and I feel in love with it. It is great tho find a place where the food is delicious and make me remain about the original Turkish taste that I will never forget.
Response: Thank you Cristian for your comment, you give us a great motivation for this days.

OM Aguilar: A small spot in San Miguel Chapultepec: Kebabs are great. Enjoy them with a “Delison” (apple drink)

Jason Cox: Such a treat! Food was delicious, service was excellent. Recommend the lamb and the date pie

Ercrom Lasont: It is very nice, the food is excellent! the place is small but feels cozy, the crew was new therefore a bit sloppy in charge and what was included in combos though

Nickolaus Lorson: I ordered the sample platter and it was excellent. Falafel was delicious and the cheese that was served with the platter was a highlight of the meal. The service was good and they didn’t mind my broken Spanish which was nice.

Nikhil: Shawarma is yum. Pan arabe is thin and pollo is well cooked. Crema de ajo is just how it has to be. They even ask you if you want some extra crema de ajo. Wrapped deliciousness. Will definitely come back.

Nofa Haleem: I had the combination plate of kibeh, falafel, hummus, salad , shawerma , muajanat and freshly homemade zaatar (thyme) which was so delicious. Very authentic lebanese food just like the meals I had in Lebanon. The service was great and the generous portions of the servings were amazing . I highly recommend visiting and eating at the el Rey de la comida libanesa restaurant in the heart of Mexico City. Fabuloso!!

Arroyo Spero: Easy five stars, the crema de ajo is authentic and delicious. I highly encourage you to have the shawarma it was mouthwatering!!!

Two Gamer: Shwarama was not good. Ready after 40 sec of ordering and it was cold. Warmed it up againDid not taste good. Felt like it was from the das before

Zoe Buck: Ordered falafel - rubbery and very oily. No bread with the dips. But the dips taste homemade at lest.

Ramzi Abboud: Great food, great service.. 100% ethantic LEBANESE FOOD

Alain Gonzalez: A very cozy and intimate place, perfect to share delicious food and tasty drinks. The food is authentic and flavorful, perfect for date night. We went on a Thursday and caught the Arabian dance show. We were amazed by the skill and elegance of the belly dancer. It was tasteful and so much fun. I recommend this place 100%!
Response: Thank you very much for your comment, Alain!

Monica Rivera: Service is excellent. Fast and friendly staff. The food is good, maybe the portions are small, especially the main dishes making the menu kind of overpriced. Drink selection is good but also a bit expensive. Falafel taco is great! Overall a decent option for Libanese food, although some dishes do have some Mexican variations.

Keewi Haller: Delicious food & attentive service. All food was good. We loved the hummus with lamb, Lebanese cheese & kebab!

Loncho: I was impressed by the Grate service and quality of the food , the lamb and hummus was fenomenal definitely going back👍
Response: We look forward to seeing you very soon, Loncho. Thank you for your comment!

Nayeli Reyes: Excelente food and amazing service. The Arab dance show was incredible.
Response: Thank you very much for your comment Nayeli.

Kurt Stefanson: Staying in the Colonia Nápoles and found this great place. Excellent dinner - really enjoyed the tasty food. Great live singer too

Tandoor: what do users think?

Ofri Hemo: Amazing food! We loved it. We told our lovely waitress (which was so nice and professional) that we love chicken and would like a recommendation for the best chicken dishes and got just those. Was lovely! Thank you!

Alvaro GR: Food is very very good, the waitress was very kind. I tried the chicken curry and chicken Tikka masala, also I ordered cheese bread. The restaurant is nice.

Faisal Sheikh: I am from Pakistan and this is authentic cuisine. I loved all the food!! The Biryani was awesome, and mutton was tender and had the right amount of spice. Little dry naans, but everything else was perfect.

Shrikant Jindam: Delicious food, ordered King platter for group of 6.. great ambience and decor

Elizabeth R: Paneer cheese was really globs of mozzarella cheese. Sag spinach was too salty to eat. Fish curry was delicious. Sauce was tasty and fish was tender. Waiter was nice and I liked the decor.

Anthony McLean: Nice restaurant with good service. We lived and travelled India for 2.5 years and love Indian food....so we ordered a Malai Kofta and Mutton biriyani. The Biriyani was authentic but the Malai Kofta was not...they had just used a butter chicken gravy. The naan bread was not good. Overall the taste was good but not quite right. Note to the owner: If you need to get fresh spices from Indian...let me know... :-)

M K: Worst Indian food I’ve ever had, ever. And I’m from India. Hopefully this is not what passes for Indian food around here. I got shahi paneer, garlic naan, butter naan, malai paneer samosas, and basmati rice. Shahi paneer had a strange and bitter after-taste (almost mango-like but not quite), and tasted nothing like how it should; far from it, actually. The naans were definitely not freshly made. They weren’t even naans. You can get packaged ones (even at Costco) that are of a similar style but even those are significantly better. The garlic on the garlic naan was extremely burnt, and didn’t even taste or smell of garlic. The samosas were wrapped in what felt like wonton wrap, and extremely fried. The stuffing was passable, at best, and that’s only because of how terrible the rest of the food was. The basmati rice was not even close to basmati rice; it was more like brown rice. And had a weird/strange smell and taste to it. I try and never throw food but I could not consume any of it beyond a bite or two to taste it. I ordered having looked at and read the raving reviews, and I just could not believe it. I’ll never be ordering from here again.

Harliv Kaur: Get the chicken tikka masala. Aloo samosas w the sauce were DELISH

Ashta Singh: WAITED 1 HOUR FOR FOOD!!! 😡 Arrived at Tandoor and asked if I could ask the chef to make a potato dish (from back home), they said no the chef wasn’t “allowed” to leave the kitchen. I said ok no problem can I write it on a paper snd you can ask if he can do it. They sent the paper and came back saying the owners don’t LET him make anything from off of the menu. I proceed to order off the menu and am still sitting here waiting for my food. I received the appetizer (veg samosa which hardly had any taste) after 40 minutes. Still no entrees . It’s been ONE HOUR!! I’ve checked several times for how much longer it’ll be and they keep saying it’s almost ready. The restaurant is hardly full. One other couple upstairs with me, and only two tables downstairs occupied. Only reason I’m still waiting is I’m diabetic and my sugars are low so really need some food in my body. UPDATE: After an hour I finally got my food. I asked for Indian spicy and they added a slice of jalapeño on top 😂😂 Mattar paneer tasted good and paneer was really fresh and waiters were nice. Go somewhere else. Extreme amount of oil in the parathas… it’s not poori to be deep fried. Food became cold quick 🧐 Uncle (owners) walked passed me a couple times and didn’t even check in or greet. Ate as much as I needed to to take my meds but nothing more. Throughly disappointed.
