Claudia Maestre: A friend of mine recommended this restaurant in CDMX as one of the best gluten-free with many vegan options. To be honest, it was OK. Not tons of vegan options, and the ones they had were just quite normal. Pretty expensive for what it was. I ordered the chilaquiles which is kind of simple to make and the tofu had not taste at all. Totopos were actually good enough since they were made of almond flour. Golden Milk tea was delicious , and the service has a 10!!! However, it's a very cute place

Asha Jamila Hendrieth: Huge relief to find an entirely gluten-free bakery in Mexico City CDMX. Surprised to find all of La Otilia offerings would qualify as Keto - low natural sugars or no sugars at all. We went shopping with our eyes in the bakery case, but the flavors were might lighter and less sweet than expected. Full service cafe. They host about 7 or 8 small tables and offer options to plug in your devices while you enjoy your order with options for indoor and sidewalk seating. The website lists : “All day breakfast, Trattoria, Bakery and Pastry. All our products are free of gluten, refined sugars and preservatives. With keto, vegan, paleo options and more. We are allergen experts.” And this is no exaggeration, their menu is kind in regards to plant based milk and sweetener options. But word to the wise, you have to request the sweetness for your drinks- it doesn’t come with default sweetness like large coffee chains.

Jordan van der Vyver: I came here with a friend who has Celiac Disease. It was so nice to finally go somewhere where she could not only find something on the menu, but actually have the option to eat anything on the menu! Obviously everything is GF: we had their pizza, chilaquiles, and eggs your way. For dessert we had their brownie, cheese cake and their matcha & strawberry ice cream. To drink we had the Dalgona matcha, a cappuccino and a pecan cinnamon smoothie. I’m happy to say that every single item was DELICIOUS! I highly highly recommend La Otilia!

Trish K.: Perhaps as punishment from the universe for spending $120mn ($6usd) on a miniscule dessert, the cupcake tasted like exactly nothing. It was so dark and chocolatey-looking, but the actual flavor of chocolate was sadly lacking. Along with all other flavors, for that matter - it didn't seem to have any vanilla, salt or sugar. This would've been disappointing at half the price, but $120 induced deep despair. Extra star because the server was friendly, the cupcake well-presented and the place bright and clean. But for the food and prices, I'd give it a pass.

l ruhlman: I have Celiac Disease and have tried gluten free bakeries, especially when I travel and this has been by far the best gluten free bakery I have eaten at. The pastries are flakey, have the right consistency and flavorful, my husband even liked them. My suggestion is the dark chocolate and cream filled Chocolaton. Sad we were only visiting and do not have a gluten free bakery near us this good.

Cory Edwards: I was worried about getting the pastries. They are gluten free which is great, but they are also sugar free which scared me. Whatever they use as the sweetener works wonders. This was one of the best GF donuts I’ve ever eaten.

The employees told us everything was gluten free except for a few items they pointed out for us to avoid. Clearly nothing is safe. Do not eat here if you have any kind of gluten allergy!
Jack: Eh, I’m a bit disappointed. Have heard great things but the items I got just did not taste good. Don’t get me wrong — most options available are vegan, gluten free, etc… Pretty much all great for people who have dietary restrictions. However, the taste just wasn’t there for me as a vegetarian who is lactose intolerant. I hope others may be able to enjoy Pan Gabriel more than me.

Cynthia Cervantes: Great bakery for anyone searching for all gluten free + vegan options. My weekly items: The pan de caja is good for anyone craving toast / sandwich options - just make sure to heat it up out of the bag so it’s softer. My favorite item by far are the “flour” tortillas - these are literally BETTER than regular flour tortillas. Buy them!! I would give ten stars to these if I could. Second fave are the empanadas - again, for maximum deliciousness make sure to toast them a bit so the dough softens and the filling oozes. The cinnamon roll is also delicious but same advice - make sure to heat it up in the oven. My least favorite: The doughnuts look good but they are never soft enough for me - the bread is always tough and the icing on the doughnuts breaks apart when you bite into it. This is the only item I don’t like! Overall, an oasis for bread lovers who can’t eat gluten and prefer vegan options!

Danielle Del Río Rizo (Dann): If you have to eat healthier or gluten free products then this is the place. The only thing that has wheat is the cake and one dessert, so just double check; anything else is made with potato flour. No sugar, vegan and gluten free.

Jesse Velasquez: Everything was absolutely fantastic, except for the wait. But hey if it's really that good, then there will be a wait. Oh and the wait was totally worth it. The food is amazing and top notch. The prices are very affordable. The service is first class. Our waitress was so patient and actually cared about the quality of our food and experience. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a European cafe.
Susanna Mostaghim: Super cute spot with dine-in (outdoors) and takeaway options. The pastries were pretty good, I was a little disappointed the paper menus had pineapple empanada but they don’t serve it (it might be seasonal?). However I was still pleased with the food I got. I would skip the juice, they’re okay but I think you could get better elsewhere. Service is pretty fast and I would come back here again (hopefully to sit down as the wait was 30 min at 8:30am)
Quinn Cox: Get a juice and pastry and hang at one of the great outdoor tables. The pastries were delicious and so was the fresh juices. It was very busy at 8am when we went. They have a wide range of breakfast options. Not sure what it's like the rest of the day though.

I enjoyed my experience but the wait was too long [Atmosphere] This restaurant is tucked away in a cute, natural feeling space. It's perfect for brunch

The cardamom roll, guava roll and fig Berlin donut were my favourites. Get here early!! Arrived around 8am twice on the weekend and got a seat but it filled up quickly after.

Raj Sheth: This place is SO CUTE! There is an indoor and outdoor seating, as well as takeaway. The spot is super bustling and has such a lively vibe. When you order you MUST get something with the guava, whether it's the jam or the guava roll, this is the highlight of the menu it is absolutely delicious. Just a wonderful breakfast/brunch spot, I wish we had fined in here because the outdoor seating was wonderful and the brunch looked super good.
Marko: Great bakery. They expanded quite a lot and now they also have a big outdoor seating space. It's really nice for a breakfast or just grab coffee and pastries. All of the pastries are delicious, especially the guava and almond ones.

Yoali Sotomayor: It's a very small place, but their desserts are amazing. They make beautiful cupcakes and cakes that you can buy for special occasions as well as other sweets that are a treat for both the eyes and the mouth. On weekend mornings they also make homemade Japanese sweets like dango and talk that are really good and occasionally they'll also sell special seasonal sweets like Sakura bread and cakes or matcha rosca de reyes. But you have to make sure to get them early because they fly like hotcakes! (Or call) All in all its one of my favorite places to get dessert in the city. It's a pretty comfy shop and the service is nice.

레비: The place was recommended to me because of the Japanese desserts and I really liked them. I want to try even more because everything looks delicious. Luckily I barely managed to reach some Sakura desserts that are seasonal. It is rich, with affordable prices and recommended. It is a pity that you cannot taste the desserts in the place because I much prefer to eat them fresh right there; more for example the shell of Sakura and march that was freshly made. But in general it is very good and the person who attends, very friendly.
