Escuela de inglés - International House México: what do users think?

Hanif Hugo Kanji: I just completed my CELTA course last week. I participated as a Canadian candidate and was initially concerned about getting my training through a Mexico-based program since I would have preferred a North American training centre. I am so glad I went with IH México. The quality of their materials, the administration, and especially the tutors, are exceptional. I was trained by leading educators in the field, it was very hands on and they are very thorough and professional. They have a global list of educators who not only come from Mexico but with International backgrounds to bring the best standards anywhere. For any North American candidates seeking a language centre, I highly recommend IH México. Since the time zone was only one hour apart from my time in Ontario, Canada, I felt the schedule was suitable. Also, they offer a lot of options in terms of timing, both full-time and part-time, which was also helpful, and in fact the reason I initially went with them. The centres in Canada just didn’t offer me the scheduling flexibility I needed as a full-time, busy professional and parent. All the best to those persuimg CELTA! It was well worth it!

Alberto Fragoso Duarte: Hello my fellow travelers, I took my IELTS test here and definitely it is a good place to learn a new language. In fact, all the classrooms, offices and the terrace are appropriate.

Erick Fabian: I took part in ITTC at IH Condesa this summer , what a meaningful experience being trained by one of the most wise and prepared trainees in latin america .

Fernando Bustos: Goood school

It is extremely difficult and challenging, not suitable for the mediocre and much less for the lazy. If you want something easy, this is not your place, but if what you want is a school where your intellect and your abilities are stimulated to the maximum, you are in the right place. The environment, facilities and teachers are first class.

José HERNANDEZ: During our first visit to Mexico, we took the Street Tacos Class. It was an AMAZING experience: we started out with a coffee in the morning, then made a round of introductions and headed out to the neighborhood to visit some venues (trying hard not to give away any spoilers...). We came back to the kitchen and cooked away. Gaby, our chef, was just great: knowledgeable, patient and passionate about Mexican cuisine. We ended up the cooking class with a tasting of the tacos we made ourselves. Back for a second visit in January, we took the Mexican salsas lesson, also with Gaby. This class was amazing and definitely sealed our love for Mexican cuisine. To me, I measure the success of this experience by the fact that back home I am constantly visiting the Mexican grocery stores and cooking Mexican food at home. Those experience were in-person. I will definitely try out the online classes.

Piotr Tomaszewski: Best place to spend some time and learn how to make real Mexican food. Tacos classes ... Amazing experience. Visit on a local market, taste some local food and cooking classes, It was the best choice. Pame (our chef) is so nice person full of love to local food. Thank you

Kristen Shields: I came here for a cooking class 3/13 while in Mexico City. I had a great time. The store and market tour was super fun and insightful. Graciela is super friendly and answered all of our questions. The group I was with was so much fun. I think this class introduced me more into Mexican cuisine than I had ever learned. I feel that the class was well organized and we all worked together to cook the food. I highly recommend their virtual or in person classes which I have done both and they were great.

Kelly McNamara: Fantastic experience ! Highly recommend. Pame was such a welcoming and friendly host and so knowledgeable. The market tour was amazing , so much to see and taste. The tacos we made were so delicious! Overall amazing experience. We had tonnes to eat and drink 🙂

Julio Gonzalez: Took the street tacos class with Pamela. Had a wonderful experience I recommend to anyone who wants to have a real food experience regardless of your cooking skill or interest. We toured the local market, learned about the culture as we learned about the food and made some excellent tacos and sauces we shared together. Well worth the time!

Bas Dopheide: Thank you Aura Cooking School for the amazing Street Tacos cooking class. Our instructor Gaby did a fantastic job teaching us more about Mexican ingredients, salsas and tortillas. The cooking studio is nice, cozy and well equipped and the tacos you prepare are outstanding. I highly recommend this place.

Dave Stockert: We just had the most wonderful private cooking class for 13 of us on our first trip to Mexico City. We toured the market, learned so much about the ingredients we would be using as well as traditional Mexican techniques, and tasted some delicious food (so come hungry). Then back to the well-appointed studio for a hands-on experience cooking a fabulous Mexican meal. Our chef instructors — Pame and Gaby — were an absolute delight. Highly recommend

Elin Lien: Very fun foodie experience - we did so much (street food sightseeing, market tour, cooking, drinking) in so little time, the hours really flew by. The food we made together was incredible, our chef kept the atmosphere fun and included everyone, and there were plenty of little surprises along the way. Thanks for a great experience, can’t wait to try to make these recipes at home!
