Virginia Sheehan: Paprika is the one salon I have trusted for years. The staff is friendly, the clients are cool and the space is clean, gorgeous, fun and modern. The owner, who you can often find in there doing a color is one of the most hardworking in the business. Self-made, dedicated, not to mention extremely cool, she’s created a wonderful salon. I have always been soo happy with my cuts and my color. I trust them with any decision and know that they always always will make it right, or any adjustment I might want. They have the best products to shop for hair, and my go-to for anything I might need. This is hands down the best salon in CDMX and you’d be silly not to find out for yourself.
Nadja Mühlemann: I‘m not brave in changing my hairstyle and don’t like sassy cuts. So I’m always a bit nervous at fancy hair salons. But at Paprika‘s I was in good hands! Hailey Kilpatrick: I had a simple request: to trim my bangs. Unfortunately they completely messed that up and weeks later am still paying the awful price for deciding to cut my hair here. Thankfully hair grows, but would not trust this place for a haircut. Maybe go here if you like to gamble with your hair.

But when I arrive on my appointment I found they forgot to put my appointment so there was no appointments ever if I asked before. Aida Sharif: Had the best experience hear. Claudia did a great job with colouring my hair, highly recommended! The staff are very friendly too.
Allison Bettencourt: Do NOT let Alfonso touch your hair. I normally don’t leave reviews ever so trust me when I say this was the worst cut of my life. I had to curl my hair for two weeks to hide the chunks and frizz that Alfonso created before I could get my hair fixed by an actually stylist with experience. Alfonso used the wrong scissors and technique for layers— not just my opinion but confirmed by the stylist that painstakingly fixed the cut. There were CHUNKS of hairs, like one long layer and one short layer that made my hair mushroom. I don’t even think he was sober but I tried not to jump to conclusions in the moment. Y’all, this post is friendly compared to what I should actually be writing here. Alfonso curled my hair when I was in the seat so it was hard to see until after I left but I seriously would reconsider if you have booked a haircut here because I seriously doubt Alfonso has actual credentials to be touching hair and Paprika as a salon should vet employees better Service: Haircut

Eva Yan: Daniela did a fantastic job with my balayage. She consulted me beforehand that she recommended only color and not bleach because my hair is thin. Also her recommendations were that with only color, i do not need to maintain it with special toners and shampoos, which is exactly what im looking for because im a low maintenance gal. She was super friendly and was a professional. All the staff at the salon were so entertaining while I was sitting there to get my hair done. My hair is up to my waist, so its pretty long. Her quote was $3000 mxn. Coming back to the US, i received so many compliments on my new hair. I am so happy with the results. Services: Balayage , Hair wash , Hairstyling

davdian 1305: went there last week while i was in cdmx, mexico. the shop is hidden behind a non -descriptive door, very inconspicuous shop. once inside, it has 2 floors and looks very cool and intriguing, very nice ambience. the hair cut was done by a stylist who is very competent. but there was a miscommunication on my low light request and the stylist cut my hair first, then trying to do the lowlight afterward, which is very difficult, given the shortness of my hair. anyway, the colorist - Daniela, she is absolutely terrific with great experience who saves this unfortunate situation. i strongly recommend her as a colorist. looking forward to visit the shop on my next trip to cdmx. my best to her ...! Milla Niemi: I went with their stylist Daniela and she did HORRIBLE job. I was in a process of going blonde and she did me some highlights what left me in tears! I told her after she is done that I don’t like it (I showed photos before and told me what I don’t want) because my hair looked not natural at all. The highlights were too big and visible only on top of my head. She colored my already lighbrown hair more dark (which I did NOT want since I was going blond) and put light highlights and I ended looking cheap. I went next day there and they told me that they can ”wash” the dark color of and I ended up looking ever worse. Daniela did not agree with me that the hair looked bad, the manager told me that ”washing” the dark color off would help. I left and went to another salon where they fixed my hair. I tried to talk with the manager and she says that since I did not let them fix my hair (for the third time!) it is on me and that’s it. DO NOT GO to this place! They literally rob you and after that just say that it’s on the client because I went to fix it to another place. Honestly I did not feel comfortable to let her fix my hair again after what she did I paid more than 3500 pesos and looked horrible. I did not get nothing from this salon and they actually thought that my hair looked good. Just look at the photos, this is worth of 3500 pesos of work.
Becca Luna: I needed my roots touched up so I made an appointment via WhatsApp. The salon messaged me the day before to confirm and asked if I wanted any additional services at the same time (manicure, pedicure, eyebrows) and I booked a pedicure too. They were very kind and translated into English for me. My hair stylist Sofia did a wonderful job with my hair color! The pedicure was very good too. I would definitely recommend!

Cathy Zhuang: Booked an appointment on WhatsApp. Had a great experience with Daniela, who talked through all the options with me and was transparent about each option (in terms of damage, necessary upkeep, etc). She gave me her opinion on what she thought would be best, as well as what treatments would be good for my situation, but allowed me to make the final decision. The whole process ended up taking about 7-8 hours since I asked for something pretty complex. It turned out very pretty! It was nice that they had wifi - I brought a book and did some work on my laptop since it was a long day. Unfortunately, their internet was really slow. Paid 4950 pesos for several steps of coloring plus their SOS treatment. Daniela was very sweet and helpful, and recommended some special shampoos/conditioners for my hair and gave me instructions on how to use. Would come back here.

Chanelle Soncini: Whilst in Mexico City I went to Bullet to have my greys colored. (I’ve been 70% grey for 10 years and color every month - 6 weeks if I push it). Their confidence lead me to believe Id be satisfied with the outcome. I mean when we were done, from the surface - without inspecting my hair - since I felt I could trust their service, I was happy. You can see the hair is decent. Not amazing but acceptable. HOWEVER, 2 DAYS LATER upon further inspection at a shoot (awkward) I was made aware that in fact the job had been poorly executed and I’d been left with grey areas. This is not what I expect. They were then reluctant to accommodate me in fixing THEIR sad attempt and I was forced to go elsewhere as I needed to have my hair sorted asap. The owner is a nice guy so I was actually shocked that I experienced this response from him over IG.
Response: We couldn’t accommodate you because we had no water in the premises due to a failure at the shopping mall and the next day we were fully booked and because your service was done as a collaboration/free we can not give you preference over paying clients. You are also a nice girl very cool and happy so it shocks me that you are leaving a bad review after getting a service for free.

Gemma Warren: I rarely go to the extent of leaving a review but I have to say, best cut and colour in a loooooooong time. I hate that I don’t speak Spanish but Gabriela was beyond accommodating. The attention to detail was clear to see. I’m going to have to fly back from Tulum especially to go back to her 😹. It’s taken me 6 years to find a stylist as good as my London hairdresser. Angela Strader: Aldo was very attentive, taking the time to listen to what I was looking for and explain hair treatment options. He was gentle with my relatively fine hair, adding in some great Mucota products to make the color treated areas much healthier. We spoke mostly Spanish but he speaks great English too. I’m already back for my second appointment, the full Mucota treatment!

Walked in, the main guy spoke perfect English. Set me up with his guy. Explained to him what I wanted and he knocked it out perfect. I was so happy. If you need a cut in Cdmx hit this hit up.

Barbara G: I normally don’t leave reviews, but this place exceeded my expectations in the best way possible. Omar was so helpful and accommodating…he was able to get me an appointment with Natalie (for color) and Marlo (for cut), manicure and pedicure with Raquel and a massage with Ara. My hair color turned out incredible. Natalie did a fantastic job explaining everything she was doing, and I felt confident in her hands. Marlo really listened and catered my haircut around my specific needs. Both stylists educated me on how to best care for my hair afterwards (Definitely went above and beyond for me). Raquel made the best manicure and pedicure I’ve had in Mexico City (and I’ve lived here a long time). Ara is SO good. I’ve had a lot of massages in my life, and she is right up there with the best masseuses I’ve ever experienced. Purchased a massage package and will be back. I can’t recommend this salon enough. Taj Meadows: Best place for a haircut in cdmx! The girls are awesome, the dog is friendly, the cuts they’ve given our whole family have been by far the best we’ve gotten down here (NYC quality). They’ve got a great selection of aveda products that can be hard to get in the city. We’ve definitely found our spot (now they just need to open in Polanco!)

Stanislav Dzhus: Yesterday I had my hair cut here. I asked Marlo to cut my hair on the back of my head so it would be the same length as the hair on the sides. She put a product on my hair in the end, so I didn’t notice it in the studio, but instead of doing what I asked for, she cut one third of the length of my hair everywhere. Now I need at least three months to grow it back Service: Haircut

I asked if you wanted to layer it (like we we had previously done before), and you told me yes….obviously there was a breakdown in communication, and I sincerely apologize. María Isabel gave me the cut, super cute, patient, listened to what I wanted and did it wonderfully along with a great and pleasant conversation, super receptive to what I was looking for, she did it masterfully, good at cutting wavy and fine hair. A jewel! ! He had several disappointments, without a doubt he would return with her and to the place. If you are looking for someone to help you with a bad cut, this is the place and the person. Claire Shea: Excellent pedicure with Ana today! I did a walk-in and Ana made my feet so soft. She was super sweet, too. Spa pedi with nail polish (not gel) was about 24 USD. Would highly recommend. Gracias, Ana!!
Enrique Pompa: Tuesday is a great day to go to this place. The masseuse, the wax lady, the hair stylist are super friendly and nice. Over the phone they are not so great. I tried to book something again but this time for Tuesday night and the lady who answered the phone did not even asked questions or tried to accommodate to my needs and accommodate at all, she just said straight up NO and that was it. So they missed out on a customer. However the service I got from their workers was outstanding.
