Guillaume Lf: We have been two times, to the Pastelería Madrid, the pastry are really delicious (Concha, Garibaldi, Pan de Muerto, ...). The metal trays and tongs could be cleaner. A must after a long day of walk and visit when you take the pastor and a hot chocolate.
Y B: Wow wow wow! This is like a bakery museum! They have every type of bakery item imaginable here and so much of it. Very interesting to stop by and have a peek even if not a fan of sweets.
L Bambu: A really fun eating experience. It was nice to sample lots of little plates. Everything is fresh and the staff is beyond nice. Really enjoyed the cartoons characters all over and historical pictures as well. Good coffee. Tasty pastries. Good sandwiches. And you can’t beat this place for the price and quality you get. 👏

We bought a few pastries ourselves, and a cake to go and they were yummy. We also had tostadas, paella, and horchata and was so worth the price! Pris Pb: Everything they make is so delicious. My favorite is kyoto matcha, however, they have some season options like pumpkin pie and a chestnut cake.They have some gluten-free options and some matcha keto muffins.This is your best option if you have a sweet tooth.

Yoali Sotomayor: It's a very small place, but their desserts are amazing. They make beautiful cupcakes and cakes that you can buy for special occasions as well as other sweets that are a treat for both the eyes and the mouth. On weekend mornings they also make homemade Japanese sweets like dango and talk that are really good and occasionally they'll also sell special seasonal sweets like Sakura bread and cakes or matcha rosca de reyes. But you have to make sure to get them early because they fly like hotcakes! (Or call) All in all its one of my favorite places to get dessert in the city. It's a pretty comfy shop and the service is nice.

AzulM: I opted for the seasonal sakura roll and the chocolate berry roll. The bread is delicious in both cases, fluffy and moist. The fruits and the cream are very fresh, not cloying and complement each other very well. Plus the chocolate bits are delicious, I wish they would put more in it . I have also had the opportunity to try their carrot cake and it is delicious although the ingredients are a bit peculiar (if I remember correctly it had raisins and pineapple). In addition to everything, the service to pick up the order by WhatsApp is super efficient 😊✌🏻
FENIX0502: The offer is delicious, they have healthy options, they are of excellent quality, flavor and image. The bread is soft, fluffy, aromatic and loaded with flavours. The sakura macarons are not cloying, they are super soft and the flavor is subtle. The matcha bread is AMAZING. I recommend them 10000%. The attention of the staff was super friendly and attentive.
레비: The place was recommended to me because of the Japanese desserts and I really liked them. I want to try even more because everything looks delicious. Luckily I barely managed to reach some Sakura desserts that are seasonal. It is rich, with affordable prices and recommended. It is a pity that you cannot taste the desserts in the place because I much prefer to eat them fresh right there; more for example the shell of Sakura and march that was freshly made. But in general it is very good and the person who attends, very friendly.

DJ: I came to CDMX from the UK and visiting this bakery was at the top of my priorities, I simply would not catch my plane home without trying one of their cakes! Lots of places back home make aesthetically beautiful cakes and pastries but with mediocre taste, but I was so pleasantly surprised that wasn’t the case here. My partner ordered the cake so the design would be a surprise and they executed it perfectly, nothing short of pure artistry, you can tell they pour their heart into their baking and decorating. SO delicious too - perfectly moist and packed full of flavour (we got the choco dulce de leche). My only criticism, if you can call it that, is that their cakes are almost too beautiful to eat - cutting into it just about broke my heart. I might have to order another before I go home so I can try the red velvet 😋 thank you so much Cuarentena 💖

Ada Wrońska: I have really mixed feelings about the products. We tried a box of 4 cookies, all of them looked absolutely fabulous, had nice texture, size, abundant amount of chunks inside… but the flavour didn’t leave me satisified. Apart from chocolate cookie, they were in my opinion way too sweet, and as some of other reviews were saying, you could feel the sugar crystals crunching in between your teeth. Also, Im not sure which kind of fat they use, but I felt as it was a margarine, not real butter and the aftertaste was really strong. Summing up, I would much rather prefer them to have less sweet dough so that I can appreciate more the richness od the main flavours (which are all interesting) than being so overlooking sweet.
Response: Hi Ada! Thanks for your take on our product. As I mentioned in the review you refer to, the style of cookie we do is not a smooth traditional one, but rather a chunky one. Here, the ingredients are mixed differently to develop structure and prevent the cookies from falling off and spreading. Because of this, it is natural to be able to feel the ingredients such as sugar right off the bite. Plus we do use sugar in some decorations as well. As for the fat we use it's pure, real, unsalted butter. We don't have ANY product with margarine or shortening, and it was precisely because we found no cookies that had a buttery flavor that we decided to develop ours...same with brownies and so on. Finally our style is fat and chunky, so naturally if you have a lot of topping there will be a lot of sweet. But that's just one style of cookies. We recently went to try cookies like Levain, Milk, Funny Face and similar stores in NYC and we found their sugar levels to be way above ours. We understand that it does not live up to your taste, but let me assure you that we have put some real effort into developing flavors that satisfy the great majority of our customers. Hopefully you give us another shot in the future and have a different experience! Again , thanks for your take on our goodies! 💖✨

Karen: SUGAR Bomb 🍭 Everything they sell is excessively sweet because that is their concept. If you don't like gooey stuff, don't spend your money there because you'll see it as a waste. 🤑 I have bought a couple of times, when I have visitors. I like sweet things, however, I can't eat more than one 🍪. 7 pieces were around 600 pesos. By the way, I've always done well with the service.

Luke: The pastries looked unappealing, so I asked about the chocolate. The staff couldn't tell me what nuts were actually in the chocolate covered nuts, so that felt a bit disconcerting. The chocolate truffles tasted so bad I threw them away.

Claire Haffner: Our Airbnb host recommended this place as a great spot for a real French croissant, so I was pretty disappointed by the sad, dry croissant I was served here. I also ordered one of the breakfast combos but the cashier didn’t bother to tell me they didn’t have any orange juice, only explaining why I never got my juice when we went to pay before leaving. He also tried to charge me double for just a coffee and croissant, so that was weird and unpleasant. We also got there shortly after opening and virtually none of the baked goods were ready. The only reason I gave this three stars was because my mom ordered the yogurt and granola dish and said it was delicious. There are so many great bakeries in this neighborhood, I’d go elsewhere.
Max Wenneker: Very solid almond croissant, also enjoyed the smoked salmon sandwich. Definitely order the baguette with jam and butter. Coffee and juices nothing special. Understated place, nice spot to have a quiet brunch.

Francisco Morales: The specialty is decorated cakes for events and birthdays, they are not cheap but they are worth every penny paid. The espresso flavor and the velvet red are already my favorites.

You pay almost 3 thousand pesos for a wall E cake, the page mentions 3D, hand painted, with decoration crumbs, you see the details of the painting and it is magnificent, you set it aside, order it, etc. and on the day of your child's event you receive a gonzo-nosed cake, no details and painted worse than my kindergarten daughter. 😡 The photos speak for themselves, a thousand times and cheaper, “Incredible cakes” that I look for on FB and they also deliver at home. Add in that we waited 40 minutes for the girl to open the branch when she specifically says business hours. In response to the comment from the business insinuating that I only advertise to another establishment, I tell you that you can check my email from September 12, 2019, I never received a response to my complaint, it leaves them worse even there is not even a follow-up to the issues ,, later I commented on it on their FB page which simply ignored me and deleted my observation. Obviously I complained when picking it up, the boy simply told me that the person who decorated was on vacation, unreal !. Orders I can tell you that I asked there for my wedding in 2012 and 3 cakes per year for the birthdays of my son, daughter and husband, from 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 I have all the photos, until I am fed up, of receiving things that I do not They were, to wait for them to open at the time they should have, and no! It is not advertising for "amazing cakes" I just tried them and changed the brand.

Michael Young: Horrible service. Don’t accept foreign cards. Owner must have spent millions building this place out and then they don’t accept US credit cards, and the manager is zero helpful. Avoid this place if you want to avoid dealing with small-minded people. If the owner of this place had any idea how poorly the place is managed he would be wise to get managers who actually know how to deal with customers.
Ra: Rude customer service, not friendly to foreigners. I asked an employee about the cakes and as I'm translating for my wife and child that don't speak Spanish the employee abruptly stopped and walked away to socialize with co-workers. We were left standing there in disbelief. If you're a foreigner or expect proper service, do not shop here.

Galo Gutierrez: It’s a great and classic bakery from Mexico City, the bread is usually fresh and very tasty. Good size bread. They also have cakes and desserts. If you like bread this is a great option to go and try it.

Nia R: This place is a bread and dessert lovers paradise. Everything is made fresh and it is honestly so hard not to grab everything! We went here three times during our trip to try as many of the goodies as we could. Also they have fresh pizza in the back of the store that they will heat up for you. It was good! The coffee and smoothies were also very good! Fresh bread and cookies did not disappoint!

Asena Kok Yucebilgic: You should visit not only for taste but also to experience a traditional bakery in Mexico. It is a GREAT and FUN experience. It is a huge place with a very big selection of sweet and savory pastries. Everything is so tasty and fresh. Very very affordable prices. It is crowded but lines move so fast. As I am from Europe, I never used to american pastries which are too sweet and covered with sugar. Things in ideal are just very balanced in sugar.
Bob Morris: It was a amazing place. It was hard to imagine all the wonderful baked goods in one place. It covered two stories. People come from all over to buy their bakery goods. It is worth going to the bakery to see this amazing place. I recommend this bakery. It's the largest best bakery I've ever seen!
carlondon london: The place is really nice. Lot of choice of cake, desserts and savoury. But I didn't buy anything, since I am vegan and there were too many people for me to ask. Maybe next time, but it will be hard to find something.
Becca: Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Massive bakery with piles of treats everywhere and very busy. There are no signs for anything, so we just grabbed a tray and tongs and selected what looked good. To be honest, they all tasted similar - sweet and cakey. Once you've made your selection, take them over to a counter to be boxed up and they'll give you a ticket to pay, then you can return to collected your wrapped goods. We missed going upstairs to see the wedding cakes, so would definitely do that next time.
Buggles Nort: I just happened to walk next to this bakery which was highly recommended by the locals. It offers an incredible selection with the prices being a little on the high side but but it was an upscale bakery so that might be why. Most of its offerings were more of the dessert-type such as cakes and pies. I was looking for something like a lunch, perhaps something with ham and cheese, but did not find it there. I should not penalize it over that, I just was not the right customer for that place. It was well organized and huge, and if you are looking for a dessert but are not quite sure what to buy, this place will give you plenty of great ideas!

Diana Lovar: I have bought several cakes there and the flavor is good, however they make the process very cumbersome to be able to put a legend on the cake and the attention from the staff has always been very mediocre, the information from the staff is not consistent and the typography ruins the aesthetics of the cake, it has nothing to do with the one in the photos on the website. It would have been better if we had made it at home. For the price of the cakes I would have expected them to be more careful with details.

Emmanuel Torres “Emmanuelotorres”: I'm sorry to leave a very bad review, but I bought a Carrot cake (the fondant execution without complaint), but when I split the cake, it was RAW, so it is not moist, super raw. It was a birthday party (a special event). On Monday June 29, I brought the cake to the patriotism store and Marisol (who sold it to me), through the employee on duty, told me that this was the RAW cake and there was no refund (even proportional). It's a shame, since I paid $ 2,100 pesos for a RAW cake (which tasted like dough without completing its cooking). I'm sorry that these cakes just look "pretty", but the lack of quality control is unfortunate.

Arturo Sandoval: Great experience to have bought a themed cake. Mine was for a company that sells syringes, so the cake had that decoration on it. My client really liked the detail, because the fondant work was really good.
Luis Peña: I tried the Rosca de Reyes and the bread felt somewhat dry and lumpy. I suggest that you use more butter to achieve a more hydrated dough and with more flavor to it. From the crust it is somewhat crunchy, it would be better if it were softer. The chocolate has good flavor and quantity. The price is reasonable. 490 medium and 590 large. The attention of the staff at the Extremadura branch is impeccable.
Diana Camargo: Yesterday I bought the rosca de reyes in this place and it brought a COCKROACH inside the box, I contacted them and explained what happened, they limited themselves to making excuses, evading any responsibility and questioning my honesty. I didn't check the reviews before, otherwise I wouldn't have gone, now I can see that their products are not of good quality and that this is not an isolated case, the worst thing was the customer service just as unpleasant as the cockroach itself. PS I don't have a photo of the COCKROACH because the reaction was to remove it immediately with a napkin. The insect was inside the box on the plastic bag, I want to think that I do not touch the bread.
