Under the Volcano Books: what do users think?

B Kozlak: I really love this place. Book selection is fantastic- I went in with a bit of list and the owner had quite of few of the things I was looking for. (Italo Calvino and Hermann Hesse) Decent poetry section as well, and some vintage gems with inscriptions in them that are just kind of rad to hold and think about how many hands have held said book in its lifetime. (Puke. I know. But this is a used bookstore review.) It is cash only and a little on the pricier side but…it’s Mexico and the books are in English so I feel that complaint doesn’t hold much weight.

Samantha Castro: Good selection of English books at affordable prices. They only take cash so come prepared. The book shop is on the second floor, there is a cool bar downstairs.

Laura Darrell: Cute as a button. Amazing selection either some unique finds. Well priced.

Kevin Baitup: Maybe the best selection of novels in English in Mexico City..a little pricey but still cheaper than El Pendulo or Gandhi

John Picardo: Charming little English language bookstore in a great location. Go upstairs to find a room of second hand books, lots of unusual finds, and a good selection of poetry, drama, fiction and non fiction. Not a place to go for the latest bestsellers, but browse and find something interesting. Super friendly owner who is happy to help.

Sammy Bailo: We were so happy to find this bookstore after limited options in English in the bigger bookstores in town.

Casa Bosques: what do users think?

Lauren Hoffman: Beautifully curated, extensive. and well-priced art book store. Most of the selection is in Spanish and/or English. Also had some very chic stationary and posters.

Breezy Charles: gorgeous space, amazing merchandise, but felt the service was lacking and many items missed prices. note that when the door is closed just knock or buzz, there is a guard attending.

Leslie Menassa: Great books in arts and photography. Great customer service !!

Rebekkah Smith: Cute and cozy bookstore with an art gallery and clothing shop situated downstairs. Might be useful to know that all the books I saw were in Spanish. But even if you don’t speak Spanish, it’s still with a visit.

Rachel Tang: A must stop for anyone who cares about art books. It is tucked away on cordoba st and every time I visit cdmx I go and I cannot say enough about this place. Apparently they have a new guest house on top of the book store called pension that looks simply beautiful like the rest of the brand by savvy studio.

Helen Hu: A lovely little spot for creative inspiration and refuge.

Backyard Button co: An awesome selection of magazines, zines and artists books. Some cool souvenirs and great art in the back rooms as well.

Julian: Wow this place is great, the girl alice that works there is so cute and cool and helped me pick out some great books i got stuff for my whole family

Aja Brandman: Beautiful bookstore; nicely curated. Love the section of zines, chocolate wall, and some stationary. There’s also a gallery and small boutique store downstairs.

El LABERINTO: what do users think?

Matt Dawes: All books are in Spanish, but worth a visit just to browse

David Lloyd Rushing: I loved this place. They got a huge amount of books of all kind of topics. I felt like one of those libraries in movies and even the guy attending the store had that vibe of a bookworm and that totally can hook you up with the books you might be looking for. Not a lot of places left like this one.

Espacio 4: You can find any book

Lilian Molina: I have been several times and some titles I have found only in this bookstore. There is a 30 or 40% discount almost every Saturday. If you bring a bike they let you store it inside. The attention is always excellent, the staff is very friendly, you end up with a smile and a good chat. The categories and books are in order and there is a lot of variety, the place is very cozy. Highly recommended.

Guada Franco: To spend hours and hours looking for and choosing books! Very nice place for those who love reading ❤️

Cafebrería El Péndulo: what do users think?

Luisa Nathalie Rodriguez: So iconic place, the coffee and the chocolate was so yummy, just need more tables inside (in my opinion) , but everything so beautiful!

J G: Large book store and cafe in the heart of Polanco. It’s got a great selection of books including any section in English. It’s a bright space spread over two levels with its own out outdoor seating area. You can buy books or read your own while drinking a coffee and eating some food. The quality is good.

Cristina Metgher: Great place to come by with your laptop and get some work done while enjoying good beverages. The pastries were so so but the tea and the mango flappe was really good. The ambience is inviting and there are siting areas on both floors where you can enjoy a good book or catch up with your email.

S X.: Nice mix of bookshop, cafeteria and restaurant! Service was excellent, fast and friendly! A place to relax…

Hugo Pedro-Martins: What a wonderful place and surprise. I went there all the days I was in CDMX. The food is great, Arrachera, the tacos were delicious. The margaritas outstanding! Strong as I like them! I Loved this place! And the books a Mega Plus!

simon: Super friendly and cozy, absolutely loved the vibe it gave. Would really recommend if youre looking for somewhere to work, read, write, or just chill and look at books.

Férnando Diaz (Fér): Hands down one of the best cafe spot for book readers and the curious. Every city should have a cafelibrerie. Somehow it blends a bookstore, cafe and restaurant into a truly unique spot. Cafelibrerie does all three categories well.

Amir El Yordi: Amazing ambiance perfectly cooked Mexican food! A 10 all arround
