National School of Plastic Arts: what do users think?

Shelby Elkins: Free, exhibit upstairs has cool statues. They need signage telling you where you can and can’t go. Everything seemed to be under construction. I recommend if you are in the area. You can keep your backpack on you until you get to the small exhibit upstairs.

Norma Goro: The building is amazing, has a lot of history inside... Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Rufino Tamayo, Kati Horna and so on left their energy around the imponent building. I studied there a Master Degree in Photography and a PhD in Documentary Film.

Ian L: Good exhibition

Elizabeth Angeles Lozano: A nice experience of sculptures I think it lacks a little more museography

Jose Renteria: An authentic jewel, where you can admire some of the best sculptures in the historic center of Mexico City. If you have the opportunity to visit it, do not hesitate to do so.

Montse Robles: San Carlos Academy: I recommend this naturally beautiful building, since its construction has a fusion of styles and currents, especially the neoclassical, Renaissance. The facade and interior of the building contain columns with classical proportions. In addition to having a lot of history within its walls, it was the first art school in Latin America and is named after King Carlos III, promoter of Fine Arts, created in 1791 (previously located in the current mint) Currently they continue to preserve the subjects that were taught such as architecture, painting, sculpture, engraving, etc. Although at first it was wanted to preserve the European artistic concept and model, later it opened the way to the feeling of belonging to Mexico and contributed to the beginnings of muralism. Here they studied strong exponents of plastic and visual art such as Saturnino Herrán, Dr. Atl, Diego Rivera, etc. It was a meeting point and extremely central (THE central point) in the revolutionary era and today, it is part of the UNAM

Gina V.A.: It has a library specializing in art and design. In the galleries there are permanent exhibitions of sculpture and numismatics, as well as courses and diplomas

Erik Yañez: Its original name is "Royal Academy of San Carlos of the Noble Arts of New Spain" founded in 1781, by authorization of King Carlos II at the request of the authorities of New Spain, who saw in Mexico City a very Great for developing graphic arts, especially engraving to improve coin production. However, its evolution made it the main house of studies for Architecture, Painting and Sculpture in New Spain. Today it is part of UNAM and contains facilities of the Graduate Studies Division of the Faculty of Arts and Design.

Ricardo Tapia: The valet parking for students charges $20 pesos, for external students the fee increases a little and requires an unlimited time stamp, or until the academy closes its doors. Inside is the Casa Bru restaurant, cheap, they generally offer university dishes, no gourmet cuisine but it gets us out of trouble. The school will change its location to the San Rafael neighborhood, Serapio Rendón street in January 2018. It has excellent musical composition teachers with international recognition and postgraduate degrees, and students are performers of different instruments from the intermediate level onwards.

Diego Treviño: The best teachers I have known and had, at least in music there is nothing like it. The facilities are very, very, very good, although their prices are high, it is worth it

David Torres: A site that waves to human creation and recreation

Nise Hammeken: The best academy in the world! :v

Maria de los Angeles González Ortiz: It is one of the best educational centers, in art as academic. High level for young people, it gives them security, knowledge and generates artists with sensitivity and culture. Excellent.

Juan Carlos Gallo: It was my high school and I will always be grateful to life for having studied there. A complete education for all kinds of adolescents, whether they have an artistic inclination or not... There are fellow graduates from there who are now musicians, doctors, actors or businessmen, because artistic education serves you in any discipline or specialty you are interested in. dedicate yourself later.

Raquel Garcia: It is wonderful! Both because of what the boys learn in it and everything around it

Rosa Cervantes: It is an excellent school, with good academic performance, it has a good school environment and the children leave with a different vision of life.

francisco maldonado: Very well protected, I clean the students very well, wearing the uniform with pride, total professionalism!!!... Excellent teachers!!!...

Altospani: It is a good school of Fine Arts, to enter you have to wait for the INBA call, carry out your paperwork and present admission and opposition exams. No problem.

Alejandra Lizama: Beautiful place! We went today for the euro jazz festival and it was great! The building is modern, the washrooms are clean, they have a cafeteria and other little stands selling food and souvenirs. They have many events going on and for many of them the entrance is free! I highly recommend coming here!

Norma Goro: I love this place, there is the best Film school in CDMX, CCC, the best school of arts, La Esmeralda. You have to visit for several reasons, for a concert, theather, movies, or just to admire the modern arquitecture of the buildings. There are a lots of shops, coffee, libraries, in the center of arts you can have a workshop or organize a picnic, better idea have a cup of coffee in a cloudy day with your friends.

Andy Martinez: Great school for art and music where you can come and either take a look at their exhibits or wait for one of their bigger yearly events such as the eurojazz tour.

Alberto Salazar: Always qualified artists present here. You only need to get used to move around; it is big.

Fabio Cruz: One of the relaxing places of this busy city. Either enter one of their exhibitions featuring art or music, or walk around their nice grass area and go catch a movie on the other side. Truly a nice place to be

Syd R: A postmodern House of Arts and campus of IMBA. Theatres, concert halls, classrooms, library, and much more. Enjoy seasonal exhibits and graduate performances merged into this atmosphere to inspire arts on diverse audiences.

Pris Gachuz: This place is full of artistic activities, some are free. Open spaces are all over the place between colorful buildings.

rafael navarro: Beautiful place with several areas designed for cultural events, classes, etc.

Aarón Lara: Thanks to this school, I obtained the necessary level to change my profession and get out of the miserable life that being an engineer gave me. I can assure you that it effectively teaches what is needed for professional practice, at no time did they give me "filler theory" or "useless straw" to fill out syllabuses or things like those that universities do today, each diploma and course that take here were worth the time and money they cost me. 100% recommended! Thanks for the quality MST!.

Dante Arturo Avila Rivera: Great academic offer and educational system according to current work needs. Marketing, entertainment design, concept design, concept art and animation 💙

Escuela de Iniciación Artística Núm. 4: what do users think?

Pamela H.: The school is small and very central. A few steps from the Hidalgo metro. The teachers are dedicated to their classes and you can find several areas: dance, music, theater, plastic arts. Every year the call comes out, generally in the month of March, April. It is easy to enter and it is worth learning an artistic discipline.

MatulasKoupland: The artistic initiation school is one of several centers where young children and adults are prepared to obtain knowledge of different areas in the artistic disciplines. It is an excellent start to permeate and incur the beauty of art. A series of procedures and requirements are necessary to be able to enter it, nothing unrelated to what they ask for in other school campuses. Its location is not to my complete liking but it is better than not having something.

Carlos Eduardo Anzures Cruz: Good school with good teachers.

Daniel Martínez Vanegas: It is an excellent option for those who seek to have bases on the artistic issue in terms of music, theater, dance and painting. Excellent location and very good teachers

Patricia Pratz: Service, warmth and service attitude by morning shift surveillance...👍👌

Danaé Jaramillo: Excellent to learn about art, and very good teachers, besides the building is very nice ✨

Alex: As in all schools, good and bad teachers, however there are 3 teachers who are characterized by their excellent work and dedication, there is a chubby guitar teacher who is the worst in the world.

Hazel Romero: excellent school

Mariela Gonzalez: Excellent option to start artistic studies. Excellent teachers in theater, dance, music and plastic arts

Manuel Aparicio: A very good option to start in the arts. For children, youth and adults.

Gabriela Fuentes: Wonderful place, of art and culture. It is part of the Autonomous University of Mexico City. Space of great proposals that should have greater diffusion.

Dr. ALEJANDRO ROMAN RODRIGUEZ: This place is a bit small, the security and administrative staff are super attentive, friendly, respectful, the facilities in general are somewhat simple but very well maintained, completely clean bathrooms although there are always problems with hand soap and toilet paper. When I went to a diploma course on the subject: Crimes Against Humanity (Human Rights) I received a lot of support here, I met very good people whom I am very grateful for all their advice they gave me, which helped me a lot to be able to finish my studies.

Apolefin: It is an excellent place for colloquia, conferences.

David Garcia: A good place

Javier Andrade: A good place to learn and share what UACM has practiced there.

Pay de Coco: Excellent! ✨ I have fallen in love with this institution. It is definitely an environment in which art can be developed without further ado. Unlike universities where only an art degree is offered, this one specializes in painting, sculpture and engraving in an exceptional way. Their teachers have a great track record. Its director is a real artist, her students are free. Their class schedules are discontinuous, but I see the advantage that they do not have classes on weekends. Lately their admission process has changed, but it is so worth it.

Memo Leyva: Brilliant. A wonderful school, I am a graduate of La Esmeralda. And a very beautiful place and a variety of workshops of all kinds of Art. I recommend it, great facilities. Everything first.

Javier Vg: I pass through here very often. I leave you some images.

Juan Hernández: A school that aspires to the avant-garde, to the model that once contributed the bauhaus. The semiannual samples contrast a lot of those who are ascribed to conceptual movements, versus arts and crafts of classical style. You can hardly see anything genuine, since the inclination and aspiration of your students is to be part of a gallery or to obtain a scholarship.

jordy baez: A school with touches of traditional Mexican architecture. It is fun to watch the students work. Their only flaw is that they do not easily allow people from outside the school to pass

Axel Rosas: Very good courses. The staff is very friendly, although they are somewhat informal, since I have been waiting for a certificate for a course I took for more than a year and a half. 🙄

Maricela Arenas: It is something unforgettable, the teaching is first class, the students who have the great opportunity to attend and prepare at this university

Monky Juice: I have a question, is this school public or private?

Alejandro Leyva: I am impressed by the architecture of the place and the quality of its students.

Diego Rascón: I paid for a course with them, they closed the branch and later they only gave me half of those classes and they did not give a certificate, they disappeared for months and never responded to my messages

José Daniel Delgado Schravesande: Friendly, good service and good team to work with

Betty C: They do not meet the start dates, they assure you that the group of three is already confirmed, you sign the contract and then they cancel you because they did not complete the group, for everything they are recharged in the contract that is rather to cover their breach. And they get upset because you claim them. Very bad image and service

Karla Blando: terrible attention, they tell you that the group is already done and when you arrive to pay they tell you that you have to wait two months to be able to start since they do not have the group full, the secretary lacks more knowledge about the programs they give, terrible attention in Countess branch.

Jay Govinda: I have been a vegetarian for 45 years, and Utopia is the best vegan restaurant I have ever eaten. Clean, delicious and very good service.

Juan Perez: Poor attention from the receptionist bad information gave me a price and then I went out with another one before I was better attended to train people and have more presentation for the place thanks

Rodrigo Díaz Nieves: Excellent school, they treat all Points of the agenda and a treatment of true quality, highly recommended

Monserrat Guerrero: A site with a lot of knowledge and very good teachers, the diplomas and workshops with a very good agenda and at fair prices.

Eilen Flortz: Good school super trained teachers. I am very happy with the result.

Xhaart: The only art and design school by UNAM, is located in Xochimilco and is always renovating the art that its students create, the space is given by teachers as an activity in their subjects, they have made murals everywhere within the institution, the best known is a place called "the curve" where the students also go to rest.

Proyect_096: never gonna give you up

Luis Jorge Hernández Meléndrez: cool!

anaa: I visited during the mega offering 2022 and a very nice and welcoming environment

David López: The offerings of the different Faculties and schools of the high school level were very well done, there were group presentations, the problem of our City is parking "there is no" which is a problem for the elderly, disabled and families with children who do not live near the place

Imago 360: The construction of the National School of Plastic Arts, today the Faculty of Arts and Design, was in the year 1977. But it was not until October 1979 that it opened its doors for the first time to university students. At that time there were 3 degrees: Plastic Arts, Graphic Communication and Graphic Design. Today it is the seat of the Bachelor of Visual Arts and the Bachelor of Design and Visual Communication. Expanding its academic horizons with the Taxco headquarters, Postgraduate Unit and the emblematic Academy of San Carlos.

Aurora G. L.: The faculty is very beautiful, full of murals and art things, it has many spaces to study and spend time, in general it is very good ✨

Oscar Anguiano Castro: Excellent faculty, there are still workshops for children???…. I had the joy of attending the summer workshops in my childhood, pleasant memories!

Dulce Mariana Lemus: It is a pleasant place, with many colors and textures in its architecture, clean and spacious, it has many outdoor spaces, clean bathrooms, access ramps, benches to eat, a little store and internet.

Antonio Fuentes: We went to see the mega offering presented by the National Autonomous University of Mexico, it is very beautiful

jaime Gerardo Nolasco Preciado: One of the schools, with the longest time in academic dance, in Mexico and Latin America, where great artists who have marked history in dance have been forged.

Syd R: Great plays and performances reborn here.

clau zarate: Excellent cultural site. For professionals, I think the best option in theater. And for the general public, a great offer on weekends with free admission.

Magdalena Tapia: I loved the play I went to see, good room, best show 👍👍

Luis Rueda: Terrible information, there is no work at 8:00 as advertised on the page and at the entrance they say that it is not their fault

payasos show: They left me on hold for 25 minutes by phone and they never attended to me. The school will be excellent, but its secretaries are lousy.

Josė Luis Velázquez: A place full of art even in the gardens

Bruno Camacho: In this Theater School I lived one of the most enriching and powerful experiences of my life: the Meeting of Higher Theater Schools. Cultural exchange between Costa Rica, France, the United States, Canada, Spain and of course Mexico. A week of workshops and performances. Great organization, plenty of talent and a lot of human warmth.

Alejandra Durán Araujo: It is an excellent option if you are looking for free activities, on weekends it is very likely that you will find staging by third and fourth year students. I recommend you arrive an hour before to ensure your entry.

Ramses Ancira: I consider it one of the 10 happiest places in Mexico City and so I have it classified in the CarteleraDF blog. Almost all the protagonists of works to be presented in the country will be known to us for having presented for free in works seen here

Victor Baeza: If you want to continue your studies at the undergraduate level in the acting career, this is the best place to make tables and stand out worldwide. Cruel checkers games: rape, rape, homicide, patricide and complicity at the level of the castle of purity. You must not miss it.
